JRP Plastering and Stucco, Vista Reviews (108)
JRP contacted me quickly and managed to schedule my stucco job the same week. I am pleased with the work completed and the timing in which it was completed.
Quick and quality work
Very knowledgeable about repairs.
Very responsive, flexible with scheduling and very knowledgeable.
Joseph kept me advised throughout the job. Appreciated his honesty and expertise.
JRP Stucco is one of the most fair, professional and punctual services I've ever used. As far as the work goes they take pride in what they do and it really shows in the results. Top notch quality. I had JRP stucco completely redo the exterior of my mothers house. They removed old siding and offered great suggestions for certain details on this one story home. The transformation was absolutely amazing. Joe, from JRP is one of the most honest, true to his word people I've met and he understands construction inside and out. There were a few unexpected things that come up in our project that we had to deal with, and Joe worked with us to provide the right solution. I would highly recommend this company for any work and I will definitely be hiring them in the future for any home projects.
Joe and his amazing crew transformed my house from dark, dingy and dated to gorgeous and charming. Being on a corner, the house is noticed by every passerby. After JRP Stucco finished a remarkable makeover, many people stopped and complimented me on my beautiful "new" yellow French Cottage-looking house. I couldn't have been more satisfied, and pleased working with Joe; a real professional, courteous, and detail oriented visionary! Not only is his work perfectly executed, the job was done with lightning speed until completion. JRP is truly the truly best in all of San Diego.
Joe helped us with a last minute estimate while in escrow- he gave an honest and fair price. Would definitely recommend him!
Joe, of JRP Plastering did a wonderful job on our new synagogue located at 1980 La Costa Ave in Carlsbad. His customer service and responsiveness was, and continues to be outstanding. He is a pleasure to work with and is very professional.
Joe was quick to reply to my request and promptly emailed me an estimate. The job was completed and signed off by the city without any complications. All along, I have not met Joe in person but the job was done efficiently and I am very satisfied with the work. I would recommend him to anyone looking to repair their stucco.
I've been told by many that I am a perfectionist. I like to think that I know quality when I see it. I have done most of my home remodeling project myself because I could not find contractors that could, or would, meet my expectations. Stucco work is not a one-man job, so I researched about half a dozen local stucco contractors and called four to provide proposals. Three showed up, but Joe from JRP was the most thorough and professional. I did not have construction drawings, just a long list of items and some hand-drawn sketches. Joe turned that into a proposal that was not the lowest price, but included all the miscellaneous items the other contractors left out. He also had great suggestions for details I had not considered.I hired JRP for:* removal of old wood siding* power wash, repair, and paint eaves* prep for stucco (paper, lath, etc.)* 3-coat stucco system with custom color and texture on the front* 3-coat stucco system patches with color and texture to match existing around new doors and windows in back* Stone veneerJRP was on site within 48 hours of getting the green light. They protected the house and cleaned up as they went. They worked quickly and did high-quality work. Once the final coat was on, Joe and I realized that I had not done a good job of describing the texture I wanted. The texture was beautiful, but wasn't exactly what I expected. Did I already mention I am a perfectionist? Joe was very understanding; he remobilized his crew and changed the texture. Now it's precisely what I'd envisioned.Today Joe's crew finished the stone work and did the final clean up. My wife and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Our home looks brand new! Our neighbors have all followed the progress and are amazed by the transformation.I will hire JRP again for the next phase of our remodel project, and I will recommend Joe to everyone who asks.
He did a good job and was thorough.
Good communication, sensible approach to repairs. Joe kept the cost reasonable, stayed in touch, and came on time. I would use him again.
You are so awesome!

His work exceeded my expectations.
Our tract house was built 30 years ago and was looking old and tired.
We also had wood rot and needed a new roof. We decided to have new stucco put on the walls and and paint on the wood trim. After getting quotes from several contrators and meeting with Joe we decided to use him because his price was fair (some where much higher) and he seemed truly interested in listening to what we wanted. It took some time and agonizing to decide on colors but it was worth it because we love how it turned out. I was very concerned about the texture of the stucco since we the original stucco was very ugly. We wanted a smooth Santa Barbara type finish but Joe and other stucco contractors warned us about the higher cost and higher probability of cracks. So we went with his suggestion of using a Montalvo finish. Again I was concerned because I had seen this finish on other houses and didn't like it because it had too many patchy looking areas. Joe sent us to look at another house he had done with this finish and it looked really great so we went ahead. I have to say he nailed the stucco texture its still pretty smooth with some but not too much texture. The paint also turned out looking great. The work was not not fast but in a reasonable amount of time and the result was high quality and looks fantastic. I have to say our house stands out and makes the other homes in our neighborhood look slummy.

Friendly, professional.
Joseph followed up my stucco request promptly and came out to take a look. We needed a doorway filled in and stucco patched up around a new french door. The work began very soon and was finished by the end of the day. The stucco looks great and the crew made sure everything was cleaned up. Thanks again!
Excellent! Thanks.
