**CAUTION - GREEN AIR CARE TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY PEOPLE** My elderly parents called Green Air Care in Buffalo Grove, IL only because they saw a coupon of $189 in the ValPak in order to clean out their air ducts due to a problem with a smell. The worker came out, inspected the situation with the ducts, said he needed to check the furnace, banged on the furnace multiple times, and said it was going to cost more than $189. The worker did NOT mention that there was a furnace issue when he assessed the situation only that the duct job was more than what was thought. My parents were quoted a price that was 5x's more than the price of $189 from the ValPak coupon! The worker said they would need to come back to address the issue and charged my parents for the consultation. Once the worker left, the furnace no longer worked. Mind you there were no issues with the furnace heating prior to this visit and was not the reason for the initial call. My mom called the company back to explain that they NOW had an issue with the furnace not heating after Green Air Care's visit. The company advised that they had nothing to do with the furnace not working and after my parents pleaded to have someone come out and look at the furnace they agreed to send someone out. Apparently after the initial visit of NO report of a furnace issue the worker advised there was now an "oil issue" with the furnace. When my parents asked to speak with a manager and advised him they had no furnace issues before the visit and only called for duct issues. The manager got defensive and told them that it was not his fault that my parents did not know how to work a thermostat and that basically it was my parents problem. They were also advised that since Green Air Care had to come back out, my parents would be charged again and if they did not pay were threatened with being sent to collections. Mind you neither situation was fixed. From reading reviews this is not the first time this company has taken advantage of elderly people. Do NOT call this company even if you see the coupon in your ValPak, Groupon, or Angie's List recommendation. I will be posting this review on Facebook, Instagram, trustpilot, thumbtack, birdeye, revdex, BBB, and any other sites I find. This is not right to be treating elderly people like this. Rude, Condescending, Wasted money, Bad business.

This team did a great job. The proposal by Patrick was very thorough reasonably priced. Felt it was the best overall offer amongst the 4 proposals I received. Installation was scheduled quickly, and the team very professional. Work looked great and efficient. Everything was cleaned up and1 looked great. Good instructions on how to use the new system. Highly recommend this team.

This past summer July 2019, We were in need of a new heater/air conditioner after living in this house 32 yrs. System was original, about 44 yrs old. First time ever for us to purchase this in all our years as home owners. After calling, talking, and getting estimates from 5 companies, we decided on Green Air! They had the best price. Mainly good reviews too.
The salesman Nick was great. He wasn't pushy. Explained alot. Great financing too.
Day of installing, the gentleman installing air conditioning Louis, was good. But had to leave to help with another install. Leaving Slawomir to finish the install. Let me tell you, this gentleman Slawomir was awesome! He made sure everything was done perfectly! He had to stay longer to finish because it was just him, and he asked if it was ok, or come back next day. It was fine with us for him to stay and finish! It was a very long day for him. The work was wonderful! I would say that Slawomir is very valuable to your company!!
He did a fantastic job on our heater and air conditioning! We were very pleased!
The purchase included the cleaning of the air ducts. The complete air ducts were deep cleaned by a different crew. With that, they missed an area. My husband looked over their work and took photos. And the company very quickly sent other cleaners out to redo, and the job was done perfectly.
Over all, we are very happy with Green Air Co! And their installers!! I would definitely recommend them to others. Thanks again to Mr. Slawomir for all the time and effort you put into our purchase!! You are truly an asset to Green Air.

Had new installation a week ago and very happy. Very professional.

Do not do business with Green Air Care. They are a very dishonest company. My 85 year old mother lives in the Chicagoland area and hired them for their $49.99 AC tune up. The “tune up” took about 15 minutes. Then Ruben, the technician, showed my Mom the capacitor from the AC unit and told her it was bad and needed to be replaced. He said the air conditioner would run colder, more efficiently, and quieter when it was replaced, which could not be true since the capacitor only starts the compressor and fan motors and then essentially does nothing. GAC charged $220 to replace the capacitor, which took about 10 minutes. The capacitor is available for $17 on Amazon. My mother fortunately asked to keep the old capacitor. I had 2 local HVAC contractors check it out and both said it was fine and they would not have recommended replacing it. They said their typical charge for replacing one is less than $150 including the service call.

GAC would not admit they did anything wrong, but after much haggling they did come back out and reinstall the old capacitor and reversed the $220 charge. For all of our trouble and their fraudulent claim to begin with, you might think they would have just reversed the charge, cut their losses at $20 and left it at that...BTW, my Mom's AC is still working fine.

GAC technicians get paid commission on top of hourly pay. I believe this gives the technicians an incentive to sell more services, even if you don't need them, as in my mother's case. You trust them to be honest, but they are not. GAC also charges for their work based on their own “book prices”. These don't have any bearing on what the actual material, labor, and overhead costs are. If you have the time to check around you will find they charge 30 to 50 percent more for their work. It's also why they want to get their foot in the door with a too-good-to-be-true price for a tune up; identify unnecessary work for unsuspecting customers; and charge exorbitant prices.

I saw thier ad in an advertisement envelope and it said $189 air duct cleaning with Deep Cleaning that included brush agitating, negative air vacuuming and deodorizing each vent along with dryer vent cleaning. The 2 workers were very nice but said that the vents were very dirty and needed brushing and deodorizing and a gas machine. I told them that when I scheduled this service "Alexi" assured me that the service was just $189 and the service crew told me that thier machine would not handle the job and it would be $500. I told them NO and they left. I then called "ALEXI" and she said that I needed more service then the $189 . TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH. I'M CALLING THE ADVERTISING PEOPLE TO LET THEM KNOW. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I was told over the phone that the cost for cleaning my vents with no hidden fee would be $189.00. When the technicians came into my home he said " the vents are really dirty." That they need different machines to clean the vents. I asked him to leave that im not going forward with the service. The technician asked if he can take the pictures I said no but he continued to do so.
This company is by no means a honest company or a professional company.

After talking to a few companies I decided to go with Green Air Care. My experience with Green Air Care was a good one. The person who came out to see me was informative and tried to answer all questions I had. There were a few questions that he could not answer so he contacted his team to get me the answer and this was before I agreed to use Green Air Care to do the installation. The installation of my new air conditioner and furnace along with an HRV "heat recovery ventilation" system was done in a few days. The job was done neatly and configured the way I wanted it. I was told that I was not the average customer and had done my research quite well. I requested things that most customers had not. Green Air Care was able was able to accommodate all requests possible. The installer of all equipment did a great job. At the end of the job one of the company owners inspected the work and made sure that the work was done well and addressed any concern I had. I also had my ducts cleaned and sealed. The duct cleaning and sealing was also done neatly and clean. I recommend Green Air Care they do a great job.

I had Green Air Care install a new system. Since I am short of time right now, I will just say that they were the best price, on time, courteous, did a great job, followed up and did everything above my expectations. Fantastic company and I will use them for life. Thank you for a superior job!

My mom and I had to replace the 54 year old furnace after the blower motor died. The sales rep was real nice to deal with and gave us a great deal. The guy that installed it was real nice also. Didn't take him long to remove and install the new furnace. I will recommend Green Air Care to every one that needs a new Furnace... Thanks for the great experience!

Cleaned furnace found blower very dirty no more dirt from vents. Install thermostat found it to be defective replace with new one with in two days. Could not be happier with service. If you need furnace and Ac work go with greenair care.

The duct cleaning they did for us has been a successful one. I admire the professionalism of the team. They arrived on time and made sure that everything is in proper order. They are also courteous enough to answer any query we have. That is definitely a plus point.

I was told that the cleaning of my air ducts would be $189 on the phone when I made my appointment. I was also told that this would be a deep cleaning. When Green Air Care arrived at my house they then told me that it would be $400. I was seriously mislead and would not recommend this company to anyone. My next step is to share this experience with everyone I know so that they will not also be mislead. I would highly recommend seeking out other "honest" companies before letting this company into your home.

The technician was arrogant. He literally just left our house half an hour ago and did not finish the job. Vents were not put back and left undone. One fell and damaged the floor, he didn't even apologize. It is a bait and switch telling you one price and then trying to charge twice as much. We called the office and talk to the office manger who was extremely rude and said there was no one else we could talk to because she is over everyone. They took advantage of my elderly father. All of this after he had purchased a furnace from them just weeks before the duct cleaning. The furnace wasn't finished either. My sister and I are going to find out if they do this to all of their elderly customers. SHAME ON THIS COMPANY!!!! How many other elderly customers have you taken advantage of?!

We requested a cleaning of our unit and the tech came out. Upon later review we've found that the unit was not cleaned as requested and they tried to get us to agree to repair our capacitor. We had a second opinion and found that the capacitor registered as normal. Tried to get Green Air Care to come back out and they said they would charge a service fee if they did the service again and they found the capacitor to be not functional. They however were very prompt at dealing with our issue and were not rude so I gave them a star.
