Skyway Fine Cars, St Catharines Reviews (1)
I bought a car from them and at purchase told Peter that I wanted a full warranty. This was all done and 2 weeks later the wiper arm broke. I took it in and he told me to take it to Henley to get fixed. I asked him outright "Is this covered on my warranty?" He said "oh dont worry, it wont cost you a cent." I took it to Henley and while getting the receipt I commented on how impressed I was that it was covered. The woman responded it wasn't. Skyway was paying for it. Had I not asked I would not have known. If Peter wasn't covering for something, why wouldn't he have said "No, its not but we will cover it" and take the credit? I called Peter and found out that he only sold me a Power Train warranty...which I told him exactly "I don't just want a PT one. " (My dad had told me to say those exact words and I did.). He told me that the other warranty would've cost me $300 more. I told him I didn't care and took him the $300 to upgrade it. I ask if its the best warranty and he tells me yes. The other 2 warranties are for new not used. Fast forward 6 months and my car doesn't start. I call Peter to get it fixed. He tells me that it'll be $100 deductible even if it is covered. I freaked. Then he tells me there was another plan that has no deducible but its another $300 more...what part of me bringing you the first $300 and asking is it the best warranty makes you think "Oh I'll leave this part out?" and not telling me about the deductible in the first place is showing he being very irresponsible. I have written to Henley Honda to let them know the issue. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SKYWAY FINE CARS!!! You will get screwed.
Welcome to the world of car ownership. Your deductible is less than an oil change for my car.
Your last statement couldn't be more correct. When dealing with anyone all you have is what's on paper. Words mean nothing. Especially in the car business.

Not 10 minutes after sending out another email, Peter from Skyway contacted me personally. He is going to see when he can get my car in. Instead of the $100 deductible I may only have to pay $50. We can not change the warranty because it has been so long and its all finalized. I understand this completely. Hopefully this issue will be resolved. My warning stands as far as just telling them what you want...asking straight out if thats what you got, will not get you an honest answer. Take all the papers home and do the research yourself as to what the warranties cover....THEN and only then, sign the papers.
