Ron Cogan Video Productions

Please do not hire Ron Cogan for your wedding or special event. There are over 60 people who have not received their video from Mr. Cogan and have paid him in full… I am one of them.

It has been two years since my wedding and no video yet. I have sent numerous e-mails, registered letters, Better Business Bureau complaint, Consumer Protection complaint, Small Claims court and I have received every excuse in the book: family illness, editor of 17 years left ( who must take him to court to get paid), finding another editor to work on your footage, I will have it to you in three weeks etc. All these excuses continue for two years after which you are not able to file a claim against him in court.

He did not complete what he outlined in his contract, tried to get me to pay more for things I had already paid for, showed up late and left three hours early.

I booked him because of the great price he offered ($1130) and he was very convincing in person but do not fall for it. He will take your money and you will not get your video. I am doing everything I can to make sure he does not destroy any one else’s memories.

I got married 3 years ago (July 14th) and still have not received my edited video as planned and paid for. When I met with Cogan, he made a nice speech on how well equipped he was and great product I would get in the end.
I was also supposed to receive about 1000 photos (taken from the video) - since the photographer I hired only gave me 115 photos of our wedding, I was counting on those photos to create my album.
I am very sad that I only have this little memories of this so important day for us.
I don't know how that person can still operate and con other innocent people - he has to stop - he's a crook!!!! And I mean a "0" star....................

Wedding was in 2013. No proof video, nothing. Full of excuses. Going to court soon. Do not give him any money. You will not get a video.

He ripped me off for my wedding video. my wedding was in 2010 and i payed it all in advance and its now 2015 and i still never got my video. he was rude and full of excuses. Im going through court now. i do NOT recommend Ron Cogan to anyone!

Ron has yet to produce our wedding wedding and has claimed that we cannot get our original back until after the editing process has been completed. He gives me lots of excuses why our video isn't done - apparently he has family issues... and his editor has family issues. He doesn't even deserve one star. small claims court here we come!

We paid Ron Cogan to film our wedding and produce a video for us. We are still waiting for our video. Our wedding was in 2012. I would never recommend hiring Ron Cogan, dealing with Ron after our wedding has been a nightmare. He constantly gives us excuse after excuse in an attempt to buy more time. I am still, to this moment, attempting to resolve this issue but it is next to impossible. Of course, he refuses to refund our money, I don't think he has any intention to get us our video.

We have been waiting 2.5 years to receive our wedding video and are still getting the run around being told the video will be ready in 2 weeks. There has been several excuses why it is not done from; his editor left and has his videos, he is in court battles with his editor, he lost our video and we had to re-do our edits, his computer was broke and waiting on parts, his wife left him, and health issues with family members.

Has anyone actually got their video or taken him to small claims court?

Two cameras showed up - OK, it was looking like it could go somewhere.... after that the issues started. We e-mailed so many times before we got the proof video - nothing special, regular video that my uncle could have done. Yeah, it was not a lot of money, but it was even less respect to this special day... after we asked for many changes and him saying no, we can't do anything...we said-OK, give us our video then.... it took 9 months to get it. Wow, some great Oscar winning movies are made for less time than that....but frustration was so bad that we just wanted our video,and the e-mails like: in two weeks, we had a system down blah blah.... was making it worst. We would not recommend it, pay a bit more and be happier... this is very very disappointing, and the result nothing special.... stay away....

We had them on our wedding. Two cameras were there and it looked like it would be just great... it took two months and us asking about it very often for them to send us a proof video... and then - nothing special, veryyyy ordinary, simple... it was not a lot of money, but it was not that good neither. I would only take them again if you don't realy care about what is in the video and how the editing is done...

This company took money from my credit card without my permission! The company had my credit card number on file, but I had not yet chosen a film package for my wedding. The owner decided to choose one for me, then proceeded to take the money off of my credit card with out my authorization. Now he refuses to refund the money after I told him I was no longer interested in using his services. Other friends that have dealth with him have also had negative experiences. Stay away!
