Biryani House

We got take out lamb shank briyani from Briyani House. It was piping hot, and the lamb shank was tender without being dry. The shank itself however did not have a lot of flavour though, and must be eaten with the rice to get good flavours.

After craving Indian food all day, last Friday, my friend and I ordered more than 50 dollars worth of food from Biryani House. We called for delivery, but when the food arrived we were MASSIVELY disappointed in terms of both quality and portion size.

We called back to complain politely and after two tries and no success at talking to the manager, we were told that the manager would be contacting us as soon as he was in. All we wanted was for someone to take responsibility.

Eventually, after not hearing back for an hour we called back, and were met with rudeness, hostility and a complete lack of regret. The manager even hung up on us! Twice! After telling us that we were wasting his time by disturbing him on the phone!

Finally, after extreme frustration with their attitude and blanket refusal to acknowledge, let alone apologise or compensate us, we were forced to contact my credit card company, and ask them to dispute the payment to Biryani house. It just felt criminal to let this restaurant get away with such terrible attitude and service! This was the first and last time we patronize Biryani House.

I ordered delivery and was told my food would arrive in about 30 minutes ( I live a 3 minute walk from where the restaurant is located.) after an hour I called back and was told it's on it's way. it took another 45 minutes before my food arrived at my door. the portions are very small for what your paying. I mean $18.00 for a over cooked small piece of veal is absurd. And that's all you get! No sides, no house salad, just a piece of meat! When I called them afterwards to tell them I was displeased with the quality of the food the woman who answered the phone hung up on me twice! then I called a third time and asked for the owner of the restaurant. He at first asked if I would be satisfied if he refunded my money in full to my credit card. I said great, I would consider dining in because of this gesture. he then yelled you can't get a meal for free and after arguing with him for about 30 minutes he advised he would only refund 1/2 of the money. I will not be eating at the biryani house ever again!
