After a seat shampoo and Gold Wash, parts of the electrical system on our vehicle started to shut down. First the radio went dead, then the low beam headlights and fog lights, then the light for the instrument cluster would not come on at night. The fuses seemed fine. The manager at the Reenders store had not experienced this before and could not offer any help. Recommend you stay away from getting interior shampooing.

Just returned home from attending The Chamois Car wash on Reeders Drive....
had the Gold Wash done and add lustra shield to the total $ 29.37
noticed while placing things back into my vehicle, carpets were NOT vacuumed! still full of grit and sand especially on the driver's side
very disappointed about the "cleaning" of my vehicle
defiantly not worth the $29.37

was at the car cleaner today at 515 pm and not very busy 2 lanes open.. I drive a Honda odyssey.. they did not vaccum in the back row..... they barely sipped things down did not touch the middle console.. and even when I asked to come back and wipe she did wipe all cup holders... so disappointed in a service you spend so much money on... will not be returning...

Some of their employees clearly don't get paid enough, so they steal change and such from people's cars. Terrible business

Be advised that Chamois Car Wash does not remind you about your points for a free car wash when you are ready to pay. You need either your card or your home telephone number to obtain these points. Staff never reminds you. My husband did not know about our points and purchased two car washes, one for himself and one gift certificate. They did not remind him and would not issue our points after our complaint. My husband went today for a car wash and again the cashier did not ask for his card or telephone number. Every other store will ask you for your card/phone number for their loyalty programs. Please ensure you collect your points for a free car wash.

this place is horrible. Do not take your nice vehicle there to get scratched up by lazy attendants who use dirtry rags to wipe your vehicle down with. Also, when you make a complaint it is not taken seriously. I will never go back and will not recommend to anyone

I have used chamois many, many times and on Aug 26 got my fathers SUV done as a treat I dropped off the car and paid about $140 for the "better job". Well, to my dismay the job was horrible. $19 wash job was BETTER than $140 job. Inside of my car was hardly touched, they never even wiped the dash. No customer service from the guy giving me my keys. Excuse for everything and all he was concerned about was me showing him his receipt and getting lost. ST. JAMES LOCATION

NEVER AGAIN for any wash

I take excellent care of my car and up until a year ago I have always washed and cleaned my own vehicle.I now live in an apartment so its no longer an option. The chamois should be an obvious choice but time after time I am disappointed. They do not vacuum properly I always have gravel left on the floors, there is an odd greasy like streaks on my windows, cup holders are filthy and my mats that are cleaned first thing look like there have been 3 or 4 people in the driver seat since it was vacuumed,my floor mats are just as dirty from the cleaners shoes and boots as when I brought it in...Yes sometimes it is better than when I brought it in but not worth the $$$$$ and sadly I have a $100 GIFT CARD to use up.Waverley for sure needs to shape up!

It is not worth the money. Got a gold wash, they missed vacuuming certain areas of my car. Interior mirrors were not cleaned. They charge way too much for the cheap service they provide. This is in the regards to the St James location and the Regent location.

This carwash dealer doesnt deserve any star rating at all!!!!!! I cant express how disappointed I am! I went there last 5/30/16 to have my car wash done for the first time. Ive been washing my car for almost 3 years I barely have passengers I dont have much clutter, pretty much I sustain the cleanest of my car. Got there lined up, paid, waited and then went home. When they gave my keys my car was dripping! The first thing ai checked is my carpet. I dont have stained carpet just DUST! My carpet doesnt look like it was vacuumed at all!!! I have lots of stuff on my trunk so I wasnt really expecting them to cleaned that much, so no biggy. I called the Manager spoke with Kendra explained everything she said to go back on 6/1/16 so I was like okay cool. After work heading to Waverly location I got off late from work so I called Kendra asked if I could go other location since its really far from where I work. She said yes just talk to the Manager of that location that you spoke to me. To make the long story short I went to Reenders (if Im not mistaken of the street name). They cleaned my car, done, gave my keys back still, carpet not clean, water marks on my glasses, windows, dripping water, my carpet is soaked (seriously like they wash my mat and then put it back in). I removed all of my things so no stuff on the trunk at all, it wasnt vacuum at all!!!! Yes I only paid like $29 but I could do better than how they cleaned my car. DO NOT GO TO CHAMOIS TO ANY LOCATION!

Just got my vehicle frim the dealership and they gave me a bronze coupon for a free carwash. Salesperson upgraded my coupon to Silver for just an additional 2 bucks so I said yes. After car is ready I quickly noticed my car windshield had about 6 inches of crack running from the passenger side. Quickly grab managers attention and all he can say is unfortunately nothing he can do since there is nothing in their facility that would cause that to happen. Gave me a calling card for his general manager and walked away. That is so unprofessional for a manager to handle this situation. He said it must have started from a small chip already then got bigger. This won't be the last you would hear from me because even though it would cost me little to get it fixed myself, I would go the whole 9 yards to get this settled in court. See you guys there.

Did you end up taking them to court? My bumper cracked because of them!!

Literally just left this Chamois, and I must say they did not do a good job at all. It looked ok the outside but as we started driving back out of town, where we are from, we noticed the job they did was in fact horrible. The dash of the car was dusty, they did not wipe down the interior properly and the vehicle did not look like it was cleaned at all. Slack vaccum job was done as well, I'm not impressed considering there were several people working on the vehicle all at once. Won't be back to the Chamois.

Had a gold wash and had to go back because the interior was still dirty and windshield was still dirty. Had a rewash and showed them the dirt and mentioned between the seats and after the wash it was still dirty.
The did manage to clean up the new Vanilla air freshner though.

I am always happy with the wash job they do. That's not my beef. The last 4 times I was in, I just wanted the Bronze. The girls selling the washes have become rude, aggressive and threatening and seem to not want to sell me what I ask for. I tell them I understand they are trying to upsell a more expensive wash, but I just want the bronze. But it doesn't stop there. They feel they have to tell me the difference between the bronze and every wash they sell. As I tell them I want the bronze and understand the difference they talk above me. I hold my hand up and firmly say STOP and they still continue with the sales pitch. They get more aggressive and tell me how they have to tell me this -that's their orders. One girl told me that like it or not, I was going to get told to me this every time I came. Hopefully my talk to the manager will induce him to educate that this is not good customer service. Happens next time, I shall turn off my car in the line, go into the office get the manager to come out to tell her to desist the harassment. So apologies ahead of time if you are unfortunately behind me.

I took my car in to have my back seat washed for my mother's walker dirtied the seat. There is a fine young man named Barett who did a great shampoo and a Gold wash. My car looked and smelled like new. This was my first time using their service.

I went to the Waverly Chamois on Jan 23th for a Gold Wash, they have a 24 hr. re-wash guarantee so we took it back on Jan 24th for a rewash. They did a good job, although on Jan 24th just the exterior needed to be done as I had explained to the staff. After arriving home, we noticed a small tear in our backseat that was definitely not there before. My vehicle is new, I take pride in my car and if there was a tear or rip I would of noticed it immediately like I did when I get home. I called The Chamois and spoke to a manager who reviewed the tapes apparently and ensure me that no one was in my back seat. I told her that I seen an employee in the back seat with the vacuum as I walked away, basically I was pretty much called a liar and told that there is no way the metal vacuum could do that. Are you kidding me ? Upon further investigation I called some local upholstery places in Winnipeg this morning and I was told that the slightest tap of a metal object can cause a tear or rip on any surface, leather or fabric. I told them manager they never take accountability for any of their damages in fact 5 years ago, I took my sports car in for detailing and they removed on side of the pin stripe and then claimed they didn't, I even showed them photos that i took that morning and they still called me a liar. Be aware of this, I now am talking to people at work and I am hearing more and more stories about the Waverly location. I will never ever bring my vehicle back there. I can call them back but I know for a fact they will never take accountability, so I will take this to every social media outlet I can find . . . . to me the public needs to be aware. Not this $30.00 car wash is now going to cost me $235.00 . . . ridiculous !

I go to the Chamois a lot and some times are better than others, but it always looks a lot better than when I brought it in. I find it silly to complain because I put myself in the shoes of the employee. Can you imagine taking a damp towel out in -20 degree temperatures without gloves and only a fleece sweater for warmth and spending 5 mins trying to wipe something off that clearly will not come off? It amazes me that the employees don't smack some of these whiny customers. Do you think they really care? I can tell most of them don't, but most of them are young or immigrants just looking to make some money, and they do a decent job, despite the terrible people that they have to deal with. I heard a lady complaining about her cup holders still being dirty. Folks, your cup holders are for cups. They are not toilet bowls. They should never be so dirty that a poor car wash employee has to waste his time cleaning out whatever is in there. Maybe you should take better care of your damn vehicle.

Although I knew not to expect a great cleaning, my exterior needed a wash, and I needed a vacuum. Like others I ensured everything was out of the way. When I got back in my car, the console hadn't been cleaned, the dash was dusty andmy air bag warning light was illuminated. $224 Ford bill later to re-attach to broken wires, and the stellar General Manager Justin (wouldn't give last name) advised they would take no responsibility.

Avoid the Chamois - most costly car wash ever.

What happened to thechamois? When it first opened the always did a awesome job but over the years it's been getting worse and is now to the Point where it's just not worth the $ any longer, the last times I was there I had to finish the job at home, I know they'll run it through again if you complain but fealty the only reason I go there is because it's quick and the kinda do the interior really my last visit on St James street they ran it through 3times but really the machine did a good job my complaint was a dirty interior..door jams... doors...windows....seats the back seat had puddles left on it after all that in a huff I went home to once again clean it all up again, I guess $20.00 is the going price for a bad wash. No wait I can just go to shell, co-op, petro can and can the same or better wash (touchless) and I'll remain going home to clean the interior and hey i'll even save a few bucks. What a shame great idea gone bad !

Chamois does a poor job. When they opened in 1998 they took pride in washing and cleaning your vehicle. Now they just don't care. They rush vehicles through. At the end they get in the vehicle with wet dirty footwear. I brought in a 2015 Dodge Journey Limited today with 200 km on it. It came out much dirtier than it went in. Hard to believe but true. I'm a disabled senior and when I got home I spent 1 1/2 hours correcting their mess. I call very frustrated and angry and talked to Dillon a supervisor. After a lengthy conversation he offered me 3 free gold washes to keep my business. I asked him to talk to Kyle the big boss to see if he could do better than that. If he couldn't I would take the three. Then this afternoon this rude arrogant wash manager named Adam called and took away the three gold car washes offered to me by Dillon and said all he would do is give me one free wash and he didn't seem to happy with this. I've been a loyal customer since they first opened in 1998. My loyalty was only worth doing the car over again. NO THANKS.

Brought my small car in for a seat shampoo. Happy with that. That was main reason I brought in. However nothing else was worth the 80$ I spent. Cup holders weren't cleaned despite me emptying before leaving the house to make it easier for them. Vacuuming was half done. Still dirt and dog hair under seats, fries between seats and console, trunk barely vacuumed. This was our family car, hence the fries and dog hair. I wanted to clean up as we were selling to a friend. Would've been better off vacuuming and washing myself for 30-40min and bring in for JUST a shampoo. Do yourself a favour and buy yourself a chamois and locate the nearest wand wash, like Mississippi jacks, and do it yourself and save. And get better results.

Paid for a "Gold" and if that's what you get don't waste your money. My dash steering column is still covered in dust. My view screen was never wiped. There's still dirt marks on the glove box. There were coffee drips on the consol which are still there. The outside still have dirt streaks. Extremely disappointed in what you pay and what you get. Will find somewhere else for sure. I remember when it first started up - you sure didn't get this poor quality of service.

I used to go to the Chamois all the time but over the past two years their service has become sub-par. My car was rear-ended in the wash track at the Waverly Chamois in January (2015). The manager did come to talk to me and promised that repairs would be fully covered after referring me to a body shop. This was 2 months ago and I have not heard anything since they got the estimate. The owner of the other vehicle wasn't even told about the accident since the staff decided there was no damage. Other customers let her know before she left that they saw it happen. Obviously she wasn't impressed either.
No quality control or standards, good exterior work but the inside cleaning is usually sub-par. I was given 2 gold wash coupons after the accident, after using one today and getting a dirty car back I threw the other out. They lost a loyal customer unfortunately.
