Grumpy old man attendant who is very rude to customers n matter how long you have been with them as a patron. No matter how much you spend for the wash, they won't care. Talk about customer retention.

When I went to wash my car today there were large hard chunks of ice and snow in the bay where I was to park my smaller car. I asked the attendant if the chunks could please be moved as my car is so low to the ground. The attendant looked and said it couldn't be done and I should just drive over it. I declined to drive over it as it would hit the underside of the car. He started yelling at me and refusing to let me use his shovel to do it myself. He continued yelling at me as he rushed over and heaved the chunks of ice and snow against the wall leaving a big mess on the floor. As he left in anger he gave me the middle finger. Who does this at their workplace?

Not impressed at all today. There are signs everywhere that to enter one must be masked and yet the fella working there is wandering around unmasked as are some of the customers. If you are going to follow the public health orders as stated, and I assume you are given the signs, then your staff should also be following them and those not adhering to the terms that are clearly posted everywhere should be enforced. I spoke to the worker who just stated 'I just work here' and grinned through the whole conversation. My business will be taken elsewhere (even though this is my usual car wash venue) and I will share my thoughts on today's visit on my social media so others may make an informed decision. Given the pandemic situation and escalating numbers, one should give some thought and care to the health and safety of their customers. Clearly not happening at this establishment.

I have been going for 5 years. Good local car wash. Equipment works. Staff friendly. I'm happy.

I have been a long time customer of the Whale and always felt I was getting a good service. I called this car wash tonight to let them know that people on the community Facebook page have noticed that they have had an extreme decrease in time for their money and are going elsewhere as a result. I was only trying to let them know that they are losing business because of this. I was told that I could go where ever I want, she doesn't care and when I persisted that I was just trying to help she told me she didn't have time for me. Hmmm..

Went in to use the car wash with my Visa card. Last time I used it it costed me 5 bucks for 4 minutes of use, this second time it charged me 15$ bucks for the same amount of time (4 minutes), and when confronted the person in charge they told me I must have been there for 10 minutes. I wish I could have taken a picture of the screen on the machine showing me 4 minutes and 12 seconds to show them. I'm absolutely disgusted

I've never had any issues with this car wash. The accept loonies, toonies as well as major credit cards as payment. No, as another reviewer pointed out, they do not allow hand washing or drying WHILE THERE IS A LINE. And that's the key point. I've often done some detail work inside when there is no line outside and some of the bays are free. As someone who has had to wait to use the car wash I can appreciate this. I would suggest the other review try some of the "pay for the time inside" car washes around town.

I have been to many carwashes in our area and find the Whale to be the best. Staff are constantly cleaning and keeping equipment in good shape. As for the rules the previous review was griping about - most car washes have them. Great place to wash your vehicle at!!

I went to the Whale Car Wash today, my third time since moving into the area, and was sorely disspointed. It was about 9:00 on a Saturday morning and I was looking forward to doing an excellent job of washing my car since the roads are finally dry. There was little wait and I rolled in after about 5 minutes and started washing. I refuse to use the brushes at car washes because they are deisgusting and impregnated with gravel and sand which will ahrm the finish of my paint. After spending about $6 soaping my car, melting all the ice off, rinsing my floor mats and my wash mitt I started to scrub my car with my mitten. I got over the surface of the vehicle and had begun using my tire mitt and brush on my rims and tires when an elderly woman who works there came up to me and told me I may not "detail"my car and must use only the provided equipment.

I was shocked, and informed her she had just lost a customer. I can't believe they have so little respect for their customers vehicles that they don't let you use a wash mitt. I guess the difference would be not that the length of my car wash would change, but rather I'd have to continue plunking loonies into the machine while I grind the clear coat off my car with their brush.

They also do not allow drying when cars are in line which is ridiculous. There should be a time limit wgen busy, but it's unbelieveable that they expect you to dry your car off outside when it's -25. Maybe there's a better technique than I have but I was onl able to dry about 1/2 my car outside beore both my chamois froze and the remaining moisture on my car froze.

I will never go back there and I hope you don't either.
