Coco Lezzone, Toronto Reviews (18)
Once you enter this place the world is more beautiful...from their services to food and atmosphere everything is great.
Me and my girlfriend walk in. It took about 5 minutes for someone to notice us. Then a rude guy in a scarf comes up to us and asks us what we want? After we were seated the same guy in a scarf came around and asked us if we would like anything to drink until our server comes? I caught him looking down my girl friends shirt. He didn't stop looking until she looked up as well.
In the back the ceiling has some windows that were fully broken and left that way; and there was an uncomfortable breeze. We asked to be moved. With some hesitation they moved us.
Food took an hour. There were only two other tables with people. A single guy and another couple.
NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN

NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN
Toronto has many Italian restaurants. This one has good quality for a good price. No dish in particular stands out, but the quality is good - especially the seafood antipasto.
The one thing I was disappointed in was the service. The last time we went, we used an internet voucher, it was $65 for a 5-course meal for 2. The server came, we presented our voucher, he brought us the 5-course meal selection and asked us to pick our options. We asked if we could have a few minutes. He said "No, I'm here right now, so decide". I can understand that if they were busy, and if all the tables were full, why he wanted to rush us. But there were a few empty tables around us, and I did not think he needed to be so rude. Just because we were using an internet voucher which gave us a discount on the food, it did not mean we should have discounted service. This was upsetting. And the 5-course meal, they served everything to us so fast that we were out in 1 hr.

And I saw them prepare my desert with their bare hands after having seen the guy move a cable on the floor with his hands.
Check it out
Always an excellent dinner! We had their seafood platter- not on the menu- and it was absolutely perfect. Every flavour balanced the other and french martinis are not only enormous but made to order. Big thanks to our server Patrick, he was endlessly attentive and never missed a beat!
Coco Lezzone was a let down. Although the old decor was cluttered and could use a change, the new look is stark and lacks charm. The main courses were only ok but the bread to begin was an insult - it was rock solid throughout. After a bite I was left with the impression that someone else had toyed with the same piece the day before and returned it to the basket..then the same basket was presented to me.
Great service. Small portions but very friendly waiter.
Delicious! Definitely returning to try the appetizers.
Hard working staff, friendly, food was a bit slow but delicious so totally worth it!
The food was very good. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Our water was only filled once, our waiter never came and had to be reminded by the manager to serve us (we could hear him yelling at him), and were left unattended most of the dinner. For example, when I asked the waiter what kind of cheesecake they had for dessert, he had to go ask, then didn't come back for another 5-10 minutes (and we actually saw him serving another table). And the restaurant was only half full.
Overall, 7/10 food, 3/10 for service.

We ate at Coco Lezzone during Taste of Little Italy. We arrived early during the dinner hour and were seated on the temporary patio. After we had barely sat down, three different wait staff descended on us pretty much one after the other, asking if we wanted drinks (before even bringing water to our table). We were brought bread and side dishes - one of which was clearly dirty but wasn't noticed by the server until we pointed it out. We ordered the goat cheese starter, which was tasty but basically just a slab of goat cheese on some greens. We had the veal scalopini and the lobster ravioli; again they were good but not stellar (I thought the lobster might have been canned actually). My problem was really with the service. My husband finished his meal and went to the restroom while I had a few bites left to go and sat watching the crowd. A server came to clear the plates and threw my husband's cutlery into my unfinished dish (even though my cutlery was still in the 'apart - I'm still eating' setting) and went to clear the plates. I had to stop him and point out that I wasn't yet finished. While I was finishing my meal, I saw another couple who had ordered an espresso receive it in a clearly dirty cup with lipstick on it. Overall, I felt the meal was rushed, the food was average and the servers were focused more on hustling clients through than with providing a satisfying dining experience.
Very enjoyable evening
This was our weekend away to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. Excellent food/serivce. Appetizers were excellent, pasta was perfect al dente. I will return!
