This comapny only hire lazy dishonest drivers.
At the first "attempt", My shipping status said Attemped delivery-receiver unavailable.
I was at home whole dY waiting for this delivery. There was no door knock and no request to a security gard at gate house.

So I called their call center and complained about the fake delivery but they does not sound like take it serious and keep repeating the same answer over and over again if I want them to set up redelivery schedule for day after. I never had a good memory with this company and made day off from my work to make sure getting this package.

I did not want to but I had no choice and made another day off for rescheduled delivery. AND THEN I did not get delivery attempt and at this time my shipping status was saying that appointment required for delivery.
What the hell is goin on with my package?

I call them again and an agent said she will reschedule delivery for day after.
Yes I am stupid and decided to trust them again. I said ok and made another day off for another delivery attempt.
In the morning i found out that my shipping status updated and saying that appointment required for delivery again. Oh my god! I called them again and then an agent asked me if i want him to reschedule delivery again for tomorrow.
While I was speaking with the agent I got a call from their depot manager asking me if I am going to be home for delivery today. I said yes even she was speaking in rude moode and saying that it was my fault that did not able to take the package at first "attempt". Whatever! It they call that fake delivery was a attempt then fine lets say its my fault.
Anyway I was waiting for this delivery and now my shipping satus have updated and says its unable to deliver today and rescheduled to deliver tomorrow.

IS THIS GUYS TRYING TO PLAY WITH ME OR WHAT?

“This is without a doubt the very worst company to deal with on so many levels. Shipping is very slow for a courier service as I've been waiting over a week now to get a package delivered from North York to Markham. What a joke!
The entire transaction was supposed to be complete within 1 or 2 days. I changed my order from Dell.ca from a pickup to delivery. Big mistake. Purolator was instructed 3 times to change this to a delivery 3 days ago by a Dell Client Service representative and it is still showing up as a pickup.
I heard this company is now run by Canada Post - which actually makes sense in that they couldn't organize a 2 man rush to a 3 man outhouse. I'm going to make sure I input this experience into my facebook in the hope that I can save a few other people the frustration and incompetence this company puts out there.” By the way, when my friend went to pick up the package at Purolator - they wouldn't give it to him. Between Dell and Purolator a Xmas gift that started out on such a good note turned into a complete nightmare. Thanks Purolator. Your a real piece of work.

Although I missed the actual delivery. I want to say that when I went to the Midland and Finch pick up area to pick up the package. I find the front desk staff very nice and pleasant person. Keep up the good work!

I had no issues with two Purolator deliveries. The first one, the driver went to security at the gate of my condo and security phoned me. The driver (with my permission) then left the package with security. The second time the shipper didn't put my unit number on the package so it went to Scarborough.
My only issue is that I lost something there and there's no direct number to call the depot to see if someone turned it in. I don't want to wait on hold to the 888 number to have them email Scarborough to see if my lost item is there. So I have to drive all the way back.

I would like to give 0 star.

I went in with a tracking number after receiving a call from their service center informing me that the parcel has arrived. The staff who took my tracking number punched in the numbers on her computer and said "the parcel is not here". I replied "That's not possible, I received..." She cut me off and laughed and said the following in a high pitch tone to her colleague "Did you hear what she said?She said It's impossible..hahahahaha" They both laughed.

She then went to the back without saying anything and brought out my parcel without apologizing.

I called their complaint center to report this but never heard back, it has been over 6 months now.

These days I mainly order online for the sake of convenience and one thing I've learned is to never use Purolator as a courier. Recently I placed an order online without thinking to check if they used Purolator as a courier. When I got my tracking number I horrified to discover they were using this horrible service but tried to think positively perhaps Purolator wouldn't screw things up this time. Unforunately they did. They claim that they attempted to deliver my order but no one was around to sign for it in a massive condo building with a conceirge. All I can say is this is Purolator's first attempt to deliver to my new place and they are the only courier that has had an issue. I've encountered this same problem with them and them alone in multiple locations throughout the GTA. I would encourage anyone choosing a courier to look for other options at all costs and for people ordering items online to avoid any sites which only use Purolator if you would actually like to get your purchases in a timely manner.

I am very disappointed with this delivery company, not once but twice they screwed me over. I order over 50 items a month and Canada post always delivers, the one company that choses purolator cannot deliver one item successfully, I ordered shoes in February, by april I was concerned so I called the company they said Purolator returned the shoes to them, no phone call, no one buzzed up, no one knocked on my door? no delivery notice left at apartment or lobby and bad enough, no one called and said I needed to pick it up after a fake delivery. second order placed april 4th, same thing no call, no notice card, no one buzzed up? I contacted the shoe company today and they said it was sent back, worst part is they were rare shoes and they sold them to someone else cause they were returned. I am fuming MAD!!! no I lose out of my shoes because of a horrible delivery system? I paid for delivery, I want them delivered! This will be escalated!! Now I lose out on an item I wanted because of this company, I want to be compensated...... total rip off!!

Called customer service to add the buzzer number for deliever.
They checked and told me the package has not been delivered yet so I they would send word about the buzzer.

Someone was at home but the delivery person did not show up.
I just tracked my package (2 days after the phone call) and it says that I have to schedule a delivery appointment or pick up the package. How could this be? There was no note on my door or even at the front lobby.

I called customer service and told them I was unaware that they even attempted to deliver. Someone was home. They then told me no phone number was on the system. I included my number on the package as well as over the phone to customer service... how could they not have my number?

Terrible service.

They are meant to be a delivery service, but they do not make deliveries!
FAKE DELIVERIES. automatic phone message. no options. unreachable.
I am shocked at how they can get away with giving such terrible service.
I am SO FURIOUS with Purolator, I will be heading to their office today to pick up what was meant to be delivered to my house. After that I will never ever have anything to do with them again, and I will tell EVERYBODY to not use their service.

They do fake deliveries. This is true. SO TRUE.
I was home ALL DAY, ALL WEEK.
I did not SEE a Purolator truck pull up.

I'm not stupid. How many people, do you think, fall for that?

They say that they "didn't have a buzz code."

IT'S CALLED, CALLING THE NUMBER ON THE PACKAGE TO ASK FOR ONE.
And when I call customer service, all they say is
"OH, our drivers don't have cell phones."

No sincere apology or anything at all.
WHY DO THE DRIVERS TAKE THE PACKAGE ALL THE WAY BACK TO SCARBOROUGH?
JUST DROP IT OFF at the nearest location like a normal procedure.

Obviously, they just want to delay it until we get tired and go pick it up ourselves.

They even asked ME to come PICK IT UP at their terminal, which is in Scarborough. I live in NORTH YORK.

The store I ordered it from is in MARKHAM.
Guess what? I didn't want to drive to Markham and pick it up myself.
Big surprise. That's why people use shipping companies.

THAT IS WHY I PAID 16 DOLLARS. SO I CAN HAVE IT TO MY DOOR.

Not so I can go pick it up at Scarborough. Wow.

Such liars and scammers.
Trying to get people to come to your terminals to pick up the package themselves when they have already paid for the driver's labour.

Never, EVER using Purolator again.

I was home for one whole week 8am-8pm.

Because I called to make the so-called "Address correction" exactly 4 times. Each in which they "corrected" the address for me. 4 TIMES.


That just has NO EXCUSE. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN, ANYWHERE?
You guys are obviously not updating the right address on purpose.
FAKE DELIVERIES, I TELL YOU.


I should be getting a refund, but I guess this is how you guys make money. That is so messed up.
Everyone I know knows about this, and seeing from the page I'm not the only one, so I really do not see a future for this company.

WE ARE ONLY A FEW people who went through the hassle of coming online and writing a review. I bet there are many, MANY others who feel the same way.

And of course, people don't go searching for complaints like these when they order stuff online, they only find out later, like us.
But sooner or later, Purolator is going down. It only makes sense.

Such nonsense company. I would run it better.
The only reason I give 0.5 stars is because I cannot give a 0. That's how this website is set up. I would give a minus if I could.

I am very sorry to read that you had such horrible experiences with us.

I will try to answer some of your concerns:

Our driver do not have cell phones, they work with a two-way messenger system to communicate with dispatch. When we are missing information i.e buzz code and the phone number of the receiver is provided, the package is returned to our resolution department and the staff contacts the receiver within 24 hours.



When an attempted delivery is made the shipment is automatically brought back to the main Terminal servicing the area. The receiver can then request a transfer to one of our local retail counters or authorized retail agents or a redelivery to the same address.



If you would like to have a follow up done on a particular incident, please provide me the tracking number and I will ensure that the issue is addressed with local management.

Was home all day, and they didn't deliver me nothing, and when I called them, they told me it's in the Scarborough even though I live in North York, I don't understand what's going on.

I am absolutely furious with purolator and their service. They attempt fake deliveries whereas I was home the whole day to receive the package. I had to work my schedule around the delivery time and then find out my package needs to be picked up 8km from my home when there is a pick location just NEXT door. Clean up your act purolator. Its times like these when you need loyal customers.

Horrible service, I am better off using another courier service.

I've had so many bad experiences with Puralator.

Latest being that the driver stated no apartment number on the label. I called Puralator who checked the scanned image of the label and stated to me there was indeed an apt. number and an incident was then raised against the driver. I asked that the package be delivered to my work address the next day as I would not be home like the previous day. This was done the previous night of the scheduled delivery. The driver tried to deliver to my home address instead of my work address. Another call and complaint and this time was assured by customer services the 3rd day I would receive the package at work. The 3rd day I called customer services again and was advised the package never left the depot on the truck. I had to pick the package up myself.

This company is a complete joke !

If you have the ability to choose another company, I would suggest doing so.

The driver claimed that he could not find my address and I had to drive to the depot to pick up the package.
What a joke! They always use this excuse "address correction required" to make you go to their depot to pick up the item yourself. I asked them to get the driver to call me and they refused as the drivers dont have cell phone :(
I received many packages from canada post using the same address without any issues.
Why do we need Purolator if we have to pick up the package ourself?

Fake deliveries, leave no notices (happened to me twice in a span of a week) and then leave fake messages detailing their 'attempted deliveries' and make you wait hours when you go to pick up your package from them. If I had the choice of couriers I would NEVER choose them unfortunately the company I purchase from chooses them.

I only have ONE reason to use these jokers. I buy a lot of stuff from BHPhoto.com in the USA, and the cheapest method of shipping is by USPS/CanPost -- which is then handled by Purolator. Sure, I save on stupid FedEx and UPS broker fees, but these tools only "attempt" a delivery once, then dump the item off at some warehouse, making you drive all around town. I say "attempt", because I've had them not even knock... just slap a sticker on my door because they were too lazy to bring a large item out of their truck. F-them.

I had a 2 remotes sent from bell with one tracking #. when I got home and opened the box there was only one remote.
Apparently puralator was supposed to let me know that each remote had it's own box and tracking #. so I had to waste more gas and go back again the next day for the other remote.

Dell used Purolator to ship my package during Canada Post strike for the week of June 20. Purolator never called to schedule a delivery time, automated voice mail is cuts off, had to ask about pickup location
