Love Fitness Plus.... I have been a member for over 25 yrs and love it there. Ray and Jari Love are phenomenal people who own and operate a business that provides everything needed to serve all of my fitness needs ... Staff are friendly ,knowledgeable and helpful...and .. I wouldn't go anywhere else...

I used to be a member of Fitness plus paying ~$35/mo up to ~2010. Now they want $70/mo for a facility that is far from $70. For that price you can go to a leisure center or the Y and get your money worth.

I just joined this gym. From the outside it really doesn't look that big but inside it has a tonne of space. There are a wide variety of workout classes that come free with your membership. I paid $99 down and $40 a month and can cancel whenever I want to. I can also sell my membership to someone else. The rate will never increase. You can also pay more down and have an even lower per month charge. They even threw in some free tanning minutes.

The staff are very nice. The gym is easily accessible from anywhere in the NE. You can take 16th Ave up south onto 19th street and then turn left onto 8th ave and you are there. I live on the border of bridgeland and renfrew and it is a 5min bike ride from my house. They also have a southern gym that they do a lot of yoga at. I am going there for the first time today to do a two hour yoga class that is included in my membership. You could easily pay $15-20 just for the class somewhere else.

Ammenities include a steam room, sauna, tanning beds, squash courts, and a little pool for aquasize (I don't think I would use this as I don't aquasize and t is too small for laps). Childcare is available for $2 an hour.
