Niagara Conservatory Of Music

First I will say we go through Pro Kids which covers part of the cost of lessons, however, they pay for the first month then after that, they cover 50% of the cost. We were told that Long & McQuade charges to rent the equipment and that Niagara Conservatory music doesn't. This was also another reason why we went to Niagara Music because we are low income. We also made sure to double ask if the equipment was included in with the cost of lessons and they assured us it was. So after the 6 lessons were used and payed for we had to pay for 50% of the cost of lessons, which I was fine because we knew that and the cost was under $50. (BUT) We were then told that we would need to lease the equipment. ummm, WHAT!!?? So here's the catch. The equipment was ONLY free for the first 6 lessons which was apparently "only" the trial period. The cost of leasing the equipment was $29.97 per month. So that makes the average montly cost about $75 !!! I meen, who has this kind of money ? If your rich then fine but low income certainly cannot afford it, even with Pro Kids help. I'd also like to add that, I don't know if the cost of leasing other equipment is the same price as ours, I am just speaking from our experience. Over all, we are not happy! I gave them 2 and a half stars because the teachers are nice. So with my child already loving his lessons and the equipment already in my home, how can we stop now right ? My advice to you would be to just ask lots of questions before jumping into these expensive lessons and price around.
