Poor quality and unresponsive

The owner of Muskoka's Painting Crew presented himself as being a highly experienced tradesman with a long list of high profile and satisfied clients. Unfortunately he did not live up to this when I enlisted his company to complete a door painting project at my business. This fellow seemed interested in working with me to achieve what I was looking for and put out some initial good efforts. However, when it came to the actual work disappoint he did! First of all it took quite a while for the job to be initiated and in fact he did not adhere to the initial time line offered. He did willingly work around our business hours but it took some effort to get the job stated. After the first coat was complete, he did not communicate as agreed and when I arrived at my business on Monday morning I found the job was done in a fairly sloppy manner and did have the look of a professional. It was not well cleaned up (over-paint on knobs/hinges) and it looked as though he was in a rush to complete. With some effort I was able to follow up with the owner and reviewed the project. I did express my thoughts and concerns. He brushed them off with the excuse that the job was not finished.. Despite that we agreed on a next step that was supposed to be completed within the next week. And that is where it stopped! He has not returned nor returned my calls and now apparently because I had some concerns around the quality of the work as I saw it he does not want to complete the project. From this experience I am not able to recommend this business. Should you need painting work done I would suggest you look elsewhere!
