Everything from the salesperson (Ashley McIsaac) to the delivery and set-up was perfect. The delivery men were very courteous and professional, took away all packaging, set up the new fridge entirely, and took away my old appliance. Can't beat that.

I appreciate the opportunity to shop smaller unique stores where the staff are concerned with finding the best product for your needs. Josh was willing to offer his opinion while continuing to show us a wide variety of appliances. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient with a clear focus on customer satisfaction…….resulting in Andrea asking an employee to drop off a misplaced BBQ cover for the newest delivery. Such attention to detail makes it a very enjoyable shopping experience for us. We highly recommend exploring this store before purchasing appliances anywhere else.

FW Black service department - Scheduled an early morning service date to come to my home. On the morning of service - service tech did not show - FW Black did not call me. This is now costing me additional money, time and frustration.

We received a new washer dryer from FW Black this week. As usual we were dealt with quickly and professionally by the sales personnel and easily were able to select the models we wanted. Delivery was on time and the two Ben who came were very courteous and accommodating. A great experience!!

The installation of our new dishwasher was shoddy. It was crooked and literally pushed out the side of our kitchen counter. Because of Covid 19 everything closed down. When I heard stores were finally opening I contacted them. Their response was unbelievable. They said because the warranty on their work had passed they were going to charge me for the repair. We have purchased three items from them over the last couple of years. No more. Beware.

I had purchased a stackable washer dryer approx 6 yrs ago. All dealings with this company have been a disappointment. I will never purchase from this company again. Their customer care and service is very poor !!!!

I bought what I thought was a good quality range four years ago. We had one problem after another and each more expensive than the last. Simple things that should never break, and the cost of parts astronomical. Even the maintenance person told me this range had design flaws. I was clearly sold an inferior product although it cost me $4,000. When I complained I was told I should have bought an extended warranty and I needed to call the manufacturer. What a piece of junk. When I can afford to replace it I certainly won't go to FW Black.

Recently purchased a washer & dryer and a stove. Asked to have the door on the dryer to changed. They
quoted $110.00 to change it after our spending over $3,000.00 with them. Should have known better, in the
past , a fridge bought from them stopped working and the service department , laughed at me saying they could have a serviceman there within 2 weeks or sell me a new fridge for $700.00. Never again !!!!!
The guys who delivered the appliances were just excellent . The rest of the staff should take lessons from them as to how to deal with customers.

First of all I don't write reviews, however after spending over $8000 here just over 2 years ago, we have had nothing but problems with their service and their attitude. Today was the last straw - we ordered a part over the phone explaining carefully what the model was, where the part was located, and what it did. Actually it was just a small clip that keeps the left fridge door closed. About a $10 part. Well they charged a courier fee to have it sent to their store, and when my wife went to pick it up she told them this didn't look anything like the broken part. Well they told her that she still had to pay for it because they could not return. And they also told her that she shouldn't order parts over the phone even though that was never mentioned to us when we placed the order. Stay away from purchases here, and also LG appliances - Refrigerator (2 service calls)and Dishwasher (2 service calls)- none covered under warranty.

This store has some nice, high end appliances that you simply won't find at the Big Box stores. The attentiveness of the sales staff is great. I have purchased from the them in the past (a vent hood), so when I needed a part for my fridge, I went to them. Now, I expected that there would be a mark up over what I would find either from a Canadian or US on-line retailer, but I never expected it would be so outrageous. A $53 part at Amazon.com was $109 plus tax,at FW Black,making it roughly $124. Purchasing it from Amazon would mean the part would have to be shipped via UPS,(a separate price gouge issue onto itself), but the Ogdensburg UPS office will accept packages for $5. Sure I'd have to run the Homeland Security gauntlet, and pay for gas, but for $70 it's worth it. I really, really, want to support local businesses, but not to the point of feeling ripped off.
We are a stone's throw to the US border here in Kingston. Local retailers need to wake up and realise that.

HI JUST SO YOU KNOW IF YOU BUY SOMETHING FROM F.W BLACK APPLIANCESS IN KINGSTON YOU HAVE NO SERVICE AFTER THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY. I BOUGHT AN ELEMENT FOR MY STOVE THEY NEVER TOLD ME ONCE YOU BUY SOMETHING THERE IS NO RETURN (AS THE STOVE BROKE TWO DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND 3 YOUNG KIDS WSA NOT WHAT WE NEEDED BEFORE THE BIG DAY) WAS VERY CAREFULL INSTALLING IT NEVER MARKED IT OR COOKED ON IT, FOUND OUT THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM WITH THE STOVE AND IT WOULD HAVE COST MORE THEN WHAT THE STOVE WAS WROTH, BACKS WAS NOT OPEN WHEN I NEEDED TO BUY NEW STOVE SO BOUGHT ONE SOMEWHERE ELSE MAN I AM GLAD I DID, AS BLACKS WOULD NOT TAKE BACK THE EMEMENT SAID USED, IT WAS ON FOR 5MIN NOT A MARK ON IT AND THEY COULD EASYLY RESELL IT AS NEW, IWAS EVEN GOING TO BUY MORE PARTS FOR SOMETHING ELSE I HAD BUT THEY WOULD NOT EVEN GIME A STORE CREDIT WAY TO BLACKS DOWN ANOTHER CUSTOMER FOR LIFE GOOD THING THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER REPAIR PLACES. So you never bought a pair of pants took them home or tried them on at the store in the change room and then return them SAME thing. I purchased a new range from these guys and a couple of months later is made a big bang and was dead. I was furious and called them ready to put up a big fight. They sent their technicians out that afternoon. I phoned the manufacturer demanding an exchange after they spent a few times constantly working on it. They gave me the run around, but the service department at FW black got it all sorted and out exchanged my unit. It's a nice feeling when a store goes above and beyond for you

IF YOU NEED SERVICE...NO NEED TO CALL INDIA OR THE PHILLIPINES...LOCAL COMPANY, LOCAL NUMBER, QUICK DELIVERY. MY SALESPERSON LEE IS AT THE TOP OF THE APPLIANCE GAME. HELPFUL IN MANY WAYS, WILL DO WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE THE DEAL AND IF NESESSARY PRICE MATCH. SOME PEOPLE FIND COMFORT IN THE "BIG BOX STORES" I FIND COMFORT IN DEALING WITH "MY STORE" WITH MY VERY OWN "PERSONAL SALESMAN". my old appliances were all samsung, and it is very hard to get help once you need a service call. I bought a dishwasher with these guys and the service department is amazing. Found the sales staff to be very good to. They sure know their stuff!

you don't get big box store service. no lies, very honest salesmen. they sell better quality as well than most stores, more high end appliances. great if you don't want a piece of junk that'll break after 2 years. they lso service their appliances which is great!

Found the sales people to be very knowledgeable. Had my appliances delivered by courteous efficient delivery guys. The store has a huge selection to choose from and a warehouse - all my appliances were in stock and available for delivery the next day!

After a couple of weeks comparing products and price we decided Black's was the store to shop at. We dealt with a salesperson that knew his products and was able to give us great advice. The added bonus is that if you have a problem with any of your products, you deal with Black's directly for service. Very good experience.
