I can not say enough about the positive experience I have every time I visit this store. I always learn something new. I trust their products and will not shop anywhere else for my birds.

I just want people to think carefully before you purchase anything online here. Long story short....I bought a parrot stand online and have not been happy with it for too many reasons to list. I contacted the owner by phone 2 months ago and because it was a Saturday she said she was too busy with customers to talk to me( I thought I was a customer). She did not ask for my number to call me back so 2 weeks after that I emailed her( I work during the week so weekends are when I have time)and 6 weeks have gone by and I have not heard back from her. This to me is not good customer service!

We are sorry that you find our service unsatisfactory. We went out of our way to find, purchase plugs and then mail them, at no cost to you, to place in the top of the metal posts. We can not resolve a problem with a big chewer. Even gentle chewers will work on the wood dowels. The solution is to provide chew toys while your Grey is on the stand and periodically replace the chewed up dowel. We can not be supplying dowels just because a bird has chewed them. This is no different than asking us to replace toys that birds have chewed. I did search for non-destructive dowels but none of the sizes we have left are large enough for an African Grey. There is nothing wrong with the play stand. You only need to replace the dowel after your Grey has chewed it.

I love coming to this store. I find the owner very helpful and knowledgable. The have a huge supply of toys made in the store. They also carry a variety of healthy bird food and treats plus all the accessories you will need including cages for your beloved bird. I feed my birds Roudybush pellets that are hard to find in Canada. The owner goes out of her way to order them for me.

I have been coming to this store for a few years, but less and less as the years go by. This past year I have been there only once and that was because I got a call about an item that I was on a long wait list for. So long that I forgot about the item. I noticed an increase in rudeness from the owner which turned me off from shopping there. I purchased food there for my parrots as after so many bags (10 I believe) the next one was free. Well when I got to the free bag the product was out of stock so I paid for a few small bags. Once those finished I came to claim my free bag and still out of stock which is when I asked if I could have the equivalent in weight of the smaller bags. This was quickly denied and when I asked to speak to the owner who was in the bags I got yelled at by the owner who appeared to be very upset that I took her away from the stock room to ask her this question. And she further yelled at me stating that it is not profitable for her to offer this and she has no other resolution but for me to continue to wait and buy smaller bags at a higher cost. Needless to say I did not get my free bag and have since purchased the food from a different place. The stock has dramatically decreased and shelves appear near empty. Further, when the owner is away the customer service from the other staff is very poor and product knowledge is almost none existent. I was at the front counter to ask a question and had to wait for a couple of minutes while the lady behind the desk fiddled around with stock and fixing magazines basically not acknowledging my presence until I spoke up. When I asked about a product (lamp for parrot's for natural light) she knew absolutely nothing about the product and advised me to look up the information on Google. She did not make any eye contact while she spoke to me and continued to fix her magazines and stock. After asking for her to call for someone else from the back she did but that staff member did not know about the product either, she did however print off some information from the internet for me to take home and read. I was then assured by this employee that she would contact the owner and get the required information for me and call me back by the end of the day. It has been well over a week and I have not heard back. If this way of business continues, I don't foresee this place being in business for very long.

Thank you for your comments. We apologize for the experience you had at our shop, however; we have temporary staff on Saturdays while the owner is away. All the information specifically on lighting is on our website. We do extensive research on many products so that you have the information you need to make informed decisions. It has been nearly a year since we stopped offering the free bag of food since so few customers were able to take advantage of it and decided to try and keep the prices lower while the Canadian dollar was decreasing in value. The owner may at times be up front and direct but most certainly does not yell at customers. It is very upsetting that this is your interpretation of a conversation. We are sorry to lose you as a customer.
