Before I start my lengthy but informative review of Red Rose, I’d like to touch base with regards to the management here. Now, when you are first considering holding a party here, this very cunning and manipulative woman (Manager) will lure you in with lies. And not just one. Several. She’ll assure you that costs will be contained, things can be adjusted and that overall your event will go swell. Well she’s full of sh*t. She intentionally sabotaged our event out of pure bitterness. Let me explain why.
Red Rose doesn’t care about your event. They care about making money. Period. Manager made this clear to us. When we originally gave our deposit to hold the date, things were great. Throughout the planning process however, she became increasingly rude and difficult to work with. She desperately fought for every last dollar she could leech from us. On top of this, she decided to just up and leave the country on a vacation two weeks before our event without any notice.
This is the worst customer service experience I have had in my entire life. I’ve never been so disrespected in all my years. First of all, she is charging us $45 a plate. As if that isn’t already ridiculous compared to the rates of other, much BETTER, NEWER, and RENOVATED halls (feel free to check out Apollo, Spiranza, Payal), she promised us that a $5 cost from each plate would go towards a dessert table. When it came closer to the party date, she tells us we did not pay for a dessert table at all and uses the fine print in the ‘contract’ (she wrote out) to manipulate us. Then, without any prior disclosure on this topic, she slaps on $450 to use two screens in the hall for a 3 minute slideshow. And it doesn’t stop there. To top it all off, on the day of (hour before) our event starts, she calls us YELLING and racks up another $300 over speakers as our DJ needed to use the Red Rose sound system. We confronted her on the last minute costs she was racking up. Not because the money was even an issue, but it is common courtesy to disclose all these things before a client books a hall with you! Everything should have been clearly laid out and explained beforehand! This is blackmail! Absolutely disrespectful. Here's the thing. She had previously said she would, as a ‘courtesy’ on her part allow us to pay for only one screen and use the Red Rose sound system. And YET she went back on her word. Why? Because we confronted her about the excessive charges she was laying on. Oh boy, she was bitter.
Now, onto the day of my event. Just terrible. She gave all of my vendors a tough time including my DJ and my decorator. Claims she needs ‘insurance’ from each decorator. She is a bully. She treats her staff terribly as well and you can see it; they all look miserable. I even paid for hors d'oeuvres and her waiters did literally nothing to serve my guests. She even shut down our bar early, purposely, just because she was angry with us. Food is nothing special either, soggy wet potato patties... and the venue was visibly dirty and unclean from the last event. Utensils looked crusted and filthy. The carpets were not properly vacuumed neither were the tiles polished. Received nothing but complaints about how the washrooms were dirty. And before you go and think she is so ‘nice’, well she talks smack about the clients she had from the night before and how they kept her up late preventing her from sleeping. Excuse me! You are a manager. This is not professional etiquette. Why are you complaining about your own clientele who is paying you $11,000 to hold a 5 hour event at your disgraceful reception hall? The nerve of her. Moldings and paint were chipping all over the venue and overall, it’s just a very very poorly maintained place. She popped in several times during our event, giving everyone rude glares and speaking in a loud disrespectful tone. Everyone noticed her attitude. Oh and. Parking situation is hell. All my guests complained and some parked across the street- had to walk on over in icy negative sixteen degree weather.
My issue here isn’t personal. This hall is just not worth anyone’s consideration, time or money. If you do book here, don’t make the mistake I made. Record everything she says and hold her to her word before she goes back on it. Don’t get tricked how we did. Seek disclose beforehand. Because Red Rose sure won’t provide you with the courtesy of it.
Neelam was very helpful, detail oriented and went over and beyond from the very beginning to accommodate and cater to all our needs. She was personally present at the event to make sure everything went on smoothly. Our guests were raving about the fun they had and the quality and taste of the food.
Kudos !! to the Neelam and the entire team at Red Rose. Definitely recommend this place to all our family and friends.
Truly a memory we as a family will treasure and cherish over the years.

I would say Neeliam really made my dream come true. Neeliam and her staff took care of each and everything so nicely that everyone who attended my wedding left with great smile on their face.

A few concerns we did have. Leading up to the event---communication problems with Red Rose. I suggest that Red Rose hires an Administrative Assistant –to help coordinator-between the owner, the Managers and the clients.
We paid for projection –yet I am not sure what we paid for? We did have projection access on the day of the wedding, but not any other time. You think you would want access to projection for your dress rehearsal dinner (on a side note, take your dress rehearsal seriously, and pick a DJ that is experienced)
The hall holds up to 400, so for our 200 the hall lacked intimacy —I suggest ensuring you have a strong MC to bring the crowd into focus.
My wife hired an excellent team to do an amazing Stage for us-this stage complimented Red Rose Décor.
Overall our guests were very happy, a lot of them stayed till end—this is a good sign of a good time.
The staff did a great job; we gave the manager a gratuity for you all!

Red Rose should hire an administrative assistant/intern to assist the owner/ Event Coordinator.
Red Rose charges to use the projection screen—but the only time you are able to do a sound check is the afternoon of your event. If you are paying for this service, I feel you should get more for your money.
I believe the hall holds up to 400 people, I felt for our 200 guest the hall became less intimate, make sure you have a strong MC to pull the crowd back in. On the Dance floor, it may look empty with only some of 200 guests dancing.
For a wedding hall, the food was amazing! Trust me; book this hall for the food, alone, the guest will appreciate you. We insisted on two bartenders for our 200 guest.
Make sure you go over everything a few times with Red Rose-they will deliver, but please review and review some more. and please know what your are looking to do
My wife hired an amazing stage designer. This nice stage added to Red Rose’s nice décor.
Take your dress rehearsal / practice dinner, for you wedding seriously (hence not having access to the projectors-till the day of our wedding is a negative)
Red Rose will take care of everything else.
For the Red Rose staff we provided your event Coordinator with gratuity-in addition to this, we wild like to thank you for providing all our guest with a good and memorable time!
First off the food was the worst I have ever experienced anywhere in my life. Oh the tasting menu they prepared for the bride and groom was perfect sure it was when you are cooking for only 6 people...on the day of the wedding this is what they served us...1) the pasta was red and white pasta meaning rigatonni with red sauce and a canolli filled with ricotta with white sauce. The rigatonni with red sauce was UNDERCOOKED and hard and only lukewarm. The white pasta the canolli came to ALL the tables FREEZING COLD straight from the fridge. Some idiot forgot to warm it up. The sad thing is guests were confused and started to eat it and commented on the fact that this was cold straight through is this a dessert before the meal? When the servers realized the mistake they scrambled to reheat additional cannoli's and send them out. Unbelievable. The veal and chicken were served from a single tray so the lemon sauce of the chicken muddled with the meat sauce on the veal and this dish also was cold along with the roasted potatoes and vegetable. One guest on our table asked if she could have two pieces of chicken since she would not be having the veal or the veggies and potatoes and the server flat out said no she can not have that. The salad was dry and wilted and horribly dressed. The food was so bad people were getting in their cars after the dinner and going down the road to Mcdonalds to grab something in the drive through.
2) Now for the open bar. The reception started at 600pm...by 730 pm the bar could no longer make Ceasars as the bartender informed us that he was out of clamato. At 800pm the same bartender told the mother of the groom that he no longer had orange juice or ANY juice left only the fake cranberry juice was left???? Are you serious??? No juice after 800pm you ran out???? Like you had no one to go buy some juice and come back. Unbelievable and for this garbage food and horrific bar service the bride and groom paid 90 dollars a plate. Unreal. Their wedding was ruined and most of the guests left right after the horrible dinner service.
I pity the poor brides that book this hall for their reception. I hope your day will not be ruined like my god daughters wedding was.
I would not suggest this reception hall for dog's wedding.
