I have 200 pictures on my home laptop, only 4 with me at work. I think this will give you the workmanship concept the Repaint Specialists perform.

Before Christmas I contacted the Repaint Specialists because their site was appealing and there were several 'very happy' reviews. I was having Christmas visitors to stay and wanted this completed. It worked out as Randy advised this is their slow season.

Both Randy, the owner of the Repaint Specialists, and Mike, the contractor Randy uses, came into my condo apartment to go over the general areas prior to starting the paint job.

Mike's worker was left to do most, if not all of the work. The ceilings looked good, but the rest of their workmanship was absolutely horrendous. They are great for telling you things, after the fact.

I had asked beforehand, if I need to wash the walls, 'No, we'll prime and paint', 'I cannot move the heavy furniture - 'We'll help with that'.

To make a long, long story short (first, I live alone and second, I work and could not be there to watch the work or workers)
1. The walls were not properly prepped
2. There was paint splatter on my laptop, TV and stand, dripping from the windows and patio doors, some of my clothing, and a large light-weight wall hanging which I had moved to be covered with the furniture. By the end of the project, the hanging was cracked on the corner, which was a distraction from the paint splatter.
3. They did not clean up their after themselves. I actually had to ask them to clear their messes.
4. My kitchen sink was used to clean their equipment on the last day
5. There was a patch about a foot long, 3-4 inches wide and 1/4" thick that appeared as though the material had been applied with their hand or foot, then painted over.
6. I have some textured walls where holes were filled, and, perhaps because they were textured, the painter thought there was no pattern and globbed hole filler on and did not sand the edges.
7. There were single nail holes covered with a 3"x3" patch and poorly sanded.
8. Many areas that required patching were not.
9. There are areas that required filling and sanding, but were just painted over.
10. When I rearranged my bedroom furniture, I found several inches above and including the baseboard that were not painted.
11. I believe the painter did attempt to move the bed, by twisting the footboard section, but all that was accomplished was that the bed railing was broken.
12. I had three 5-dollar bills in numerical sequence that I'd forgotten about, between the mattresses. When I took the bed apart, I found 1 five dollar bill.
13. Several outlet plates were painted over.
14. A TV outlet plate was painted over.
15. My mother passed away in April and I had a lot of her things in the spare room. Her sewing machine was missing. No, I did not have pictures as Randy asked. Then he said 'ah, that's too bad'.
16. Being a smoker, I did say the painters could smoke, but didn't expect to see the brimming ashtray on the kitchen table when I got home on the 3rd day.
17. Paint had been dripped on a white vanity door and Mike said it would be easy to remove. Turns out it was not easy to remove - I'm left with a noticeable paint stain on the door.

Mike did return and looked after a few of the problems, but he was very defensive. When I gave him the keys to return another day, I believed he would look at the walls and workmanship and make all necessary corrections. When I got home I saw some of the repairs and even called him to thank him.

I wish I had waited a couple of weeks. I asked my Christmas visitors to make other sleeping arrangements. I was so upset about the job the 'Repaint' Specialists had done. I also had my lock re-keyed.

I tried to get in touch with Randy but wasn't able to until I wrote to the BBB after Christmas. There were no responses to my emails. Finally, after contacting the BBB, he called. He and Mike came by and I was not in their league. They said my walls were in poor condition before they painted. What! That was not mentioned before I hired them and now it's an excuse for the shoddy workmanship!

Well, Randy had been on holidays, and did not set up an email responder to advise this. Randy was worse. Everything I mentioned to him was minimalized.

They offered to come back and do a few 'touch ups'. That would be the 3rd time they would be in my home and I cannot imagine letting them back in.
