I cant thank Liz enough for her work and for taking the time to take care of everything during our move (we just relocated to BC from Nova Scotia). I was moving there to be with my husband as he was finally able to find work. I was left to pack up the house, the kids and take care of the movers all by myself. It was not easy to do, but Liz was there to help through the way. She reposed to emails after hours and even resolved some issues when the delivery truck arrived (they didnt receive the update in time for delivery of balance change). All in all the experience was good and I would have been probably even more stressed if it wasnt the personal attention that I got (thats one of the reasons why I booked).
I had a few minutes and wanted to write a quick note to send my thanks. We are finally here - its a bit snowy but we are happy to be settled. Meena.

THE STAFF WILL LIE AND HOODWINK YOU INTO THINKING ALL IS FINE UNTIL YOUR POSSESSIONS ARE IN THEIR HANDS - THAT'S WHEN THE ADDITIONAL HIGH COSTS AND INTIMIDATION TACTICS START!!
LIZ, DAVID, MICHELLE AND ESPECIALLY MAYA ARE CONSUMMATE LIARS AND FRAUDSTERS. OUR POSSESSIONS WERE BADLY DAMAGED AND FEES WERE OVERCHARGED DURING THE JOURNEY FROM BC TO MANITOBA. THE STAFF REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR MISTAKES BUT TRIED TO PLACE BLAME ON EVERYONE & EVERYTHING ELSE. IT'S A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME & ENERGY DEALING WITH THESE CROOKS. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE. THEY WILL SCAM YOU EVERY WHICH WAY THEY CAN!

My husband and I phoned around for quotes on a move from Rocky Mountain House,Ab to Nelson,Bc, Kingsway quoted us at $1900, that seemed decent. The movers showed up and during the process starting wrapping everything up and I said oh your company does that? The guy says oh ya I never leave a place without wrapping everything up. So he completely made it sound like that was part of their policy, which isn't, we were charged $114.00.And then extra for wardrobe when that all gets weighed anyway and added to the price. Then to kind of make a long story short, we get to Bc to our new home in the 19th, and our stuff was packed up with them on the 16th and they told us that it would only be in storage for a couple days! We end up not receiving our stuff until 2 weeks later! I have 2 kids ages 15 and 9 and we had to go buy all new bedding and foamies to sleep on the floor and they couldn't even start school because Kingsway had ALL of our stuff! I was constantly emailing with this incompetent lying manager named Liz Maclean! I reported them to the BBB and almost had to call the cops! It was crazy and it's not over yet, we have damaged belongings and missing pictures, one was of my kids and was so sentimental. I am so angry for what they have put us through. Let's sign a petition and try and get them shut down! Any good review on here they likely wrote themselves. Scammers!

I had a great experience with this company. The crew arrived on time as scheduled on August 29, 2015. Mark and his crew were great, Sam was also very efficient. They worked hard and were in and out within hours.

When my stuff arrived to Toronto, ON (which was about 8-9 days later) I found out that my house fell through. The sellers had financial problems and we had to move on. We couldn't wait longer. Kingsway had offered storage although delivery was previously scheduled. No issues.

We finally took possession of our new home this month, October 2, 2015 and we accepted our delivery on October 3rd, 2015. Great service and happy to report that they do deliveries/pick ups on weekends (so much more convenient). Great service from the delivery crew. Hank was great and the crew was not complaining at all climbing those 3 steep flights of stairs. I asked them to lay blankets at the entrance which they did. We tipped the guys cause we had so much fun with them. They even helped my husband set up our bed.

Very few minor issues, nothing that is even worth a claim or a complaint. The office staff was great to deal with, and both David and Liz were fantastic.

I can't thank Tracy enough for always being available & reassuring even after hours, she definitely made the move bearable ( we moved from northern Ontario to PEI ).
The contractors arrived at 8am in a truck that we didn't think looked big enough for our belongings. They were fairly quick & polite, despite only one of the three apparently speaking English which made communication a bit difficult. However they marked walls & door frames as well as making a small hole in the wall moving the fridge freezer, smashed 2 light switches & a wall socket which took some grovelling with the landlord when we handed the house back. So as the day went on it became apparent that all our stuff wasn't going to fit as we expected & I noticed things that were being left behind in rooms even though they were adamant that everything would fit. After dragging our mattress down the drive with no cover on then dropping it on the ground & dropping my barbecue which broke the hinge on the side burner ( they tied it to the roof upside down ) they then left. On checking the paperwork it became apparent that every single item that they had packed was listed as; incomplete, dented, scratched, marked, broken, warped, torn or bent which clearly wasn't the case. Anything that was packed/boxed by ourselves was marked as "unknown".
The estimate they left me with 1200-1500lbs of belongings even though a lot of which I ended up having to GIVE AWAY as we loaded up our van & had nowhere to store it.
I explained to Tracy how hurt we felt that stuff was left behind & our stuff being ill-treated & described & she promised to make it right on the delivery of our stuff.
Well she did, the weight ticket went up by 3000lb which after reading the reviews I had budgeted for.
The guys that brought our stuff were amazing, all polite, all spoke english, extremely professional & brought our stuff on a tractor trailer unit which is what we were expecting the first time around. They brought it in and within two hours had put everything in the correct rooms and sheds without being asked ( I wish these gentlemen had loaded us )
We have lasting memories of kingsway, every time I look at the dishwasher I look at the scratches from the floor on one side & the dents on the other side from it being stood on. My 2 month old barbecue has a cooking grill smashed, a door dented, a snapped castor wheel & the stove top burner flap won't work as the hinge is snapped. The flap for the indoor stove light is smashed off. As well as having to replace all the stuff they didn't bring as their truck wasn't big enough & I couldn't fit in.
Its a pity that different contractors are used because some are amazing but some are amazingly bad.The girls in the office are wonderful & even with the extra weight when our stuff was weighed it was on the cheaper side of the quotes I had. I am looking to ship internationally & would give Kingsway another chance with the understanding that I have to spell out what is needed.

Great service from Kingsway Van Lines. I would like to write a few words about my recent move from Halifax, NS to Ontario, ON. We transported our entire life across the country and they assisted us from start to finish. There were a few things that we didnt finish on time and the crew was able to help us with packing those (at an extra $$$) but it was worth it. We arrived a day before our truck did and luckily did not have to camp out for too long. Many thanks to Liz and Maya for co-ordinating the move and ensuring that the trailer arrives in time. My husband and I moved across the country before with another move and the experience was not as pleasant. But i guess the previous experience helped us in being prepared better for this move and knowing what to look out for. David and Mark were great at the delivery end, we even exchanged numbers. All in all the experience was good. Dont sweat the little things. Michelle

Between pick-up and delivery, the weight (and so the price) of our stuff magically almost doubled! (from 1200lbs to 1900lbs!)
We weight everything carefully (my wife worked in shipping) and we get approximately 1200lbs of stuff we were moving from Montreal to Vancouver.
We have never been told when the truck gonna arrived until we called ourselves the very day of the delivery, and when it arrived without notice our stuff weight was magically 1900lbs!!!!!! (plus charges we never heard of before delivery!). We have also never been told of this, we discovered it at the delivery.
We called the head office to get explanations but they threaten us to charge us for making the movers waits, with also additional charges for a second delivery and a rescalling if we refused to pay!
As they refuses to give us our stuff previous payment, we were completely hostages for them as they got all our belongings.
We are sure of the weights of our stuff. In our opinion, they have been completely dishonest!
DO NOT MOVE WITH THEM!

My mother-in-law recommended kingsway as a company that would do our moving. My husband and I decided to take her advice and it turned out she was right. The movers were running around our home to the truck at two hundred meter speed to load all valuables. But the speed never stood as impediment before them, did the job securely as well. They moved my full possessions on time. They made me satisfied by their work.

I am extremely happy with these guys they have helped me move twice and both times have run smoothly and the guys have been really clear on communication and times, Packing up was quick and unobtrusive and everything was supremely well packed up - even each bottle of wine was individually wrapped. The price was not the cheapest (wouldn't trust the cheaper companies) and not the most expensive, just reassuringly in the middle.

From start to finish these guys stayed busy wrapping my furniture and moving my belonging to the truck.
I was very impressed on the way everything was ran.
They showed in a nice truck and were in company uniforms ready to go to work.

I will keep this brief. I will start with the positives of giving Kingsway my business. I was very satisfied with the movers. They made sure everything was wrapped up nicely and were friendly enough. Nothing was broken or damaged in the move.

The reason I gave the company 2 stars is because I think they are a fraud. They mention how they have this government certified scale, not ever sure what that means. Long story made short, after the company picked up our stuff. My wife called them a couple days later to get the total weight of our stuff. My wife was told 4980 LBS, which was outrageous. I called a day later to voice my displeasure and told them they must have made a mistake. Maya told me they would re-weigh my stuff the day of the shipment. Sure enough it weighed in at 4420 LBS (560 LBS lighter). I was never given a reason why this happened, or a simple we're very sorry about the error we made.

When the movers delivered my stuff I personally weighed each item with a digital scale and my stuff added up to almost 3800 LBS. I was never given the weight tickets for my stuff. I definitely would not use this company because I truly believe they add extra weight to peoples goods. Not a trustworthy company!

I have choose Kingsway Van Lines based on their online reviews and even tho they were not the cheapest. I was convinced they would take good care of my furniture. OMG i was wrong and I am so disappointed with them!!!

The guys that came to do the packing have done a horrible job... So many things were broken and not only furniture but walls and flooring as well. The list is very long and i have thousands of dollars and damages and what they have offer is 100$. That's a joke! They have put a BBQ over furniture that how they don't care about their job.
