This dealership is not interested in repeat customers, only want to make a quick buck at first time. They are dishonest and deceiving which is a shame because it's a Toyota new car dealership.

Expensive lessons learned

- Don't trust Sales people and managers regardless of brand
- Never put any deposit until you are ready to sign. There are 100s of other dealership to go to
- Never sign anything other than the sale contract and related documents i.e. don't sign anything while negotiating
- Always take toyota MSRP sale price print outs. If not, then ask them to bring them up on their computers. If they can't, walk away

One of the tactics this dealership uses if you are not prepared is to jack up prices above MSRP and then lower to just below MSRP to give an impression that they are giving you a good deal.

HORRIBLE PEOPLE October 19, 2012

One of the worst experiences I ever had. Remember, they will not honor any verbal commitment, so don't ever take their word for it. If they promise something, get it in writing if you can. I was told a free tire rotation and free tire change if I got the tires from them. I was told they will perform these tasks when I brought my car in for service. However, when I took the car in for service and asked them to change the tires, I was told, there would be a charge. Upon reminding them, at first I was told, that they would never promise that. Then when I pointed out the guy who promised me, I was told, that it has to be a comprehensive service. Also, one of the guys at the service counter actually yelled at me when I approached the counter. I could have knocked the socks of him, but didn't think it was worth the time.
Buyer beware.

    Wait until service

Wait until you have to go in for service. They will rob you blind and be rude while doing it.

My family and I have purchased five used cars from Attrell Toyota. We are very happy with the cars and always receive a warm greeting from several staff when we enter the building. What I really like is the way staff look me in the eye and are open to what I have to say.

I hope those who are dissatisfied take the time to understand their contract when purchasing a car. I know it is difficult to concentrate on mundane contracts when the keys await but we owe it ourselves and family to be careful.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE October 18, 2011
By: AKK

I used to be a regular customer of Toyota Attrell. But since my last vist, I am not planning to go to that location. Customer Service is really bad in the repair and part services. I think the person by the name of David who deals with all the customer issues and transaction is very rude.

BAD BAD BAD August 8, 2011

Please note the this dealership wants no part of any consumer issues related to consumer satisfaction! They go out of their way to ignore & irritate you. They send you off to an auto body affiliated shop for collision work (see blog below). My car is rusting and parts weren't assembled properly & quality of bodywork performed is like Attrell's quality & care for the consumer, "sub-standard to say the least"!

Blog from Attrell website.
Attrell Toyota in partnership with Assured Automotive ensures that your claim is handled with professionalism, care and service quality. Bring your vehicle in to our dealership and speak with our Automotive Collision Expert to get an instant appraisal or estimate.

BAD SERVICE November 3, 2010

I bought a new car from Attrell a few years ago. I spoke with a particular salesman, who assured me my car would be available within three months, which I required. I did not hear from the salesman for two months, after repeated calls and emails. I finally went into the dealership one day, and was told my salesman quit several weeks earlier! I asked why I wasn't informed of this. The person told me that they didn't know. I asked to speak to a manager. I was told there was no manager in at the time, but I was given his card and told to call him.
I tried to call the manager three times, and each time the receptionist told me he was in a meeting and I should leave a voice mail. He never replied to my voice mails. I finally wrote an angry email. I FINALLY got a call from the manager, who told me he was unavailable because he was just in a car accident. I knew he was lying because the receptionist told me he was in meetings, but I just wanted to know about my car.
He told me my car would not be ready when I needed it. I got very angry and upset about the entire situation. He agreed to pull some strings, and I got my car in the nick of time.
The day I went to pick up my car, the financing guy had no idea about anything regarding financing that I had discussed with the original salesman. We worked everything out. In the process, he insulted my educational background. He also refused to speak to me, and talked directly to my father, even though I was the one buying the car. I FINALLY got my keys.
When I got to my car, I noticed that none of the extras I was promised (free) were thrown in. I didn't say anything. I just was afraid I wouldn't get my car, and I wanted to cut my losses and run.
I still go there for service. The car servicing is fine, but the customer service leaves much to be desired.
Bottom line, I love my Toyota and would definitely buy one again. But I will never buy from Attrell again.

AVOID! October 3, 2009
By: SPSS

Brought my car in with starter problems, and they spent no time diagnosing the problem, basically just suggested expensive and unnecessary parts replacements. Found them dishonest, incapable, and "too busy" to answer any questions.

My wife brought her Tercel there 4 years ago for a check up, and they tried to convince her to replace the whole exhaust system for a repair that ended up costing $20 from a local mechanic. I vetoed repairing it at Attrell, as I have heard horror stories about them, but didn't mind her going there for oil changes...
Fast forward to last week, and she brought the vehicle in due to a "check engine" light... I was fishing with my son, so I wasn't able to look at the vehicle, but it turns out that some corrosion on the filler lid (where you put gas in) had some corrosion, and it was leaking "toxic gasses" and the recommended replacing it.... $690 later, I come back, and she tells me that the vehicle was in to the shop.... I go to get the part, after seeing the bill, guessing that she was scammed, because she is a woman who doesn't know anything about cars.... I get the filler neck (my original) and take it to MY mechanic, knowing full well that the part DIDN'T need to be replaced... He tells me that its just a bit of corrosion, and he could have EASILY used a wire brush, as he did last week to remove it for another customer... I ask how much it would have cost me? His answer ? $0 !!! I tel him that he is stupid, as he could have charged $690 like Attrell Toyota does, and he replied that she would have never come back, and that he doesn't treat his customers like cash machines.... I spoke with the Toyota manager, and he told me that "we don't repair, we replace" which is great for them, because they can cash in... I don't know if it is just plain greed, or its because their technicians are too stupid to repair things, so they just REPLACE IT all.... They also charged me for a new gas cap $34, because they said it was corroded too! Funny, plastic and rubber doesn't corrode, but they seem to think it does....
We will NEVER spend another dime at Attrell, or buy another Toyota for that matter, as these guys are SCAMMERS!! If you do choose to take your vehicle there, take it for a second opinion before you let them do anything, as this incident cost us almost $700, while the other exhaust incident could have been close to $1500 when they were done bending us over the barrel, and I could have had this $2000+ of work done for $20 at the local mechanic that I have been using....
Sad but true story

I was basically kicked out of Attrell Toyota in Brampton for asking questions about why a service agent had apparently not made a phone call when he said he had. David Attrell was very rude and combative in his tone with me and told me to take my business elsewhere.

financed my 5th vehicle from Attrell toyota. You would expect a decent discount. $600 is what i got.
they did not honour any verbal agreements, they inflate first offer so it looks like a bigger discount and then deny it when they print the bill of sales. --2 hours negotiating with a pc of paper, 2 min printing legal bill of sales--you would think they're the same. watch out!! I thoght i was saving at least $1680.
my first 4 were leases. they went fine because of a particular salesman who is not there anymore.
this time they offer to take full responsibilities of my returning lease if i purchased another one from them.
after i signed.." we never promised you anything on your leased vehicle"
so many mistakes and dishonesty. no financial responsibilities.
i live 1 hour away from brampton, went there because of a promise made on my returning lease with 2 months remaining.
looks like i went to buy a vehicle to save $600. pay for 2 vehicles for 2 months and only have 1 vehicle.

IF YOU WANT HONESTY AND INTEGRITY...I USE TO THINK IT WAS AT ATTRELL TOYOTA.
