This is our third time building a home. Each time we've built with different builders and Beattie Homes has been the most difficult company to work with of all three. At least four times we've been told one thing by different representatives of Beattie and then when it came down to signing, Beattie has changed what they said. This has been on everything from not explaining what their version of 'spec home' means (can't change anything), to cabinet color selections, to discounts being offered which then we didn't qualify for and so on. No matter what the sales manager says, whatever you want done in our house, MAKE SURE it goes in the contract before you sign because once the contract is signed, they are very rigid and unaccommodating. Pay special attention to electrical. My cousin is currently building with Cardel and they're having a great experience. Ours has been a nightmare. I can't speak for the quality of the home, but I pray it's better than the quality of service we've received so far.

I read other negative reviews that said similar, but thought it can't be as bad as what the others were saying. I really wish I would have listened.

I have had issues of water coming into the garage and basement. I called atleast 10 times and the issue has not been resolved yet. Everytime I call, I will be told someone will look in to that. Worst experience and they are a bunch of frauds and cheats

Do not buy from this Builder....late in delivering, poor quality and CHEAP materials. Bought a new home and every countertop and door had to be replaced as damaged. Do not buy the CHEAP Jasper model....pine finishings fade quickly with any light exposure and wood finishings are CHEAP and real soft. Do not buy in New Brighton....next to the DUMP....it really stinks in this neighbourhood and is very redneck.

I built with Beattie in Aug 2009 and was very happy with both quality and Customer Service.

Bought several homes over the years and Beattie Homes is the worst company you can imagine, Don't know their product, pricing was an absolute joke and management team word be an embarrasement to Bill Beattie (deceased) unfortunately with the passing of Bill Beattie his dream has fell into the hands of a bunch of baboons. Save yourself headaches and buy from a reputable builder like jayman Homes.

  Considering you are unable to spell 'Experience', the validity of your review seems bias due to the lack of your knowledge. You fail to explain why the management team was an embarrassment. Pricing was a joke? (you are one of those cheap asses perhaps?, quit thinking upgrades are free...
  'They don't know their product'. Your supposed to talk to employees, not people wandering through their show homes. This review I have found is incorrect on every level.
  
  
  

We have built numerous homes over the last 10 years - Beattie was by far the worst Builder. It is such a dissapointment to pay for a home that has such poor workmanship/materials issues. The service is horrible - every discussion turns into a battle. We have had to kick their rep out of our house twice. They do not stand behind their promises.

Our company worked for Beattie homes. We caught them double back charging deficiencies even after our company repaired them.I do not recommend them... as for futre homeowners... you may not be getting a good quality home, they treat their trades like garbage!

We have invested so much money into our home and were so disappointed with the result. The plans were great, we thought we would be building our dremhouse- but the workmanship was awful. Beattie will not take responsibility for the workmanship either- the afterservice was terrible. The salesperson does his/her best to get the sale, and then you are on your own. I would never build with Beattie again- buyer beware for sure on this one!!

I agree they suck 6 months after they have not fixed there deficiencies there trades guy cant even hang a door right.

The afterservice is awful- they are the worst home builder we have ever dealt with. It has been a a headache from the get go. The inside and outside are still not complete- I would NEVER recommend you to build with Beattie homes- if you want to waste your money, have a headache and never get anything completed give it a try. The people after you sign your contract are horrible to deal with- don't even think about getting work completed after you built your home- they are so rude and treat you like crap- they are a terrible builder

Nice homes layout but the craftmanship is not good. Plus the services with them after the "DEAL" done (after funds been transfer lawyer-lawyer)is a disappointment. They tossed you around and ingored your phone calls. Been more than 6 months and no result yet. If I knew their services is this bad, I wish I never builder with them. I wish they would take the house back and give back my money! I tried to be paitent but more than 6 months and still no result is totally unexceptable. I am "SO DISAPPOINTED". They don't want to fixes their deficiencies and everythings I mean "everythings" is acceptable.

Visited every show home in calgar -Beattie has by far the best plans, finishes and set ups of all.
