UNHAPPY AND HEARTBROKEN September 13, 2011
By: AT85

I am a bride who put my deposit down last December, and will likely have to pay close to full price for my dream dress from San Patrick now. I'd like to think that previous employees can understand the frustration and heartbreak this bankruptcy has caused for not only the brides (who like me may have had to manage with a tight budget) but also their families. I think my mom is more crushed about this situation than I am.

I don't understand the hostility from any of the previous commenters, both employees and bride. Clearly no business wants to go bankrupt, nor do employees have an inkling that it's about to happen. I do admire the fact that the owner has put a lot of work in trying to contact vendors and have the dresses delivered to us brides. He could have just as easily walked away from the whole mess without doing a thing.

What I find brutal is the attitude of "MT23"... it's peculiar that you managed to work in a bridal boutique with such underlying hostility for brides. It IS an important day, and I'm sure it will be for you some day too. If you'd like us to empathize with the people who lost their jobs, then perhaps you should consider what it's like for us "crazy" brides who have to worry about finding a new dress in a very limited amount of time. You've just presented yourself as jealous, petty, and insensitive. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise... as clearly you're not meant to work in the bridal industry.

Anyways, there's not much more to be said.

Good luck to my fellow brides... I hope everything works out for you!

It was officially confirmed today that my entire deposit was lost and the dress I had ordered from San Patrick is no longer possible.

I want to share my experience dealing with Provonias with any potential brides considering purchasing one of their dresses.

Unlike every other vendor that the store dealt with, Provonias/San Patrick refuses to match the cost as best as possible to the original purchase price paid by brides like me. Instead, they have my dress ready for delivery - but it would cost $2140!!

What shocks me is the lack of empathy for the brides who have found themselves in a terrible situation through no fault of their own. I am now out a $800 deposit and must scramble to find another wedding gown.

I thought I was going to wear my dream dress on my wedding day, but Provonias has made this impossible.

They have lost both my business and respect. Please be wary when dealing with this company.

    From an employee...

First off, I´m really sorry, Pronovias are assholes. Especially considering the actual cost of the dress. Our mark up was 100%, so whatever your total was going to be, divide that in half and that is what it cost Pronovias to make and ship. I´m really sorry.

I also worked at B&B and I can tell you the hostility felt in the other two postings does come from spending a long time keeping our mouths shut. Most brides come in, are reasonable and everything works out, but there are the handful of nut jobs who really make things hard to work in this kind of job.

That said, I am also a bride and I constantly think about all the brides affected a lot. I think about every bride I sold a dress or BM dress to and hope that they are going to get the dress and that things are going to be OK for them. I know what a stressful time this is for any bride(and am more understanding with the reasonable brides like yourself).

Please be understanding with the people that lost their jobs and have spent the last few months dealing with a business that was going under(though we didn´t know it) and understand that the last few months have been very stressful on not only brides with outstanding orders but also the employees who didn´t know what was going on and were the ones who were having to deal with angry and upset brides.

Again, this is a crappy situation for all involved. I´m sorry for you especially b-c you seem like a nice person.

    Good luck to you.

This store just announced it's Bankruptcy yesterday. I was just in the store 12 days ago with my bridesmaids and we ordered 6 dresses. There is no way the management did not know, that in 11 days they would be bankrupt. They knew and yet they took our money anyway. Luckily I ordered my wedding dress from them 6 months ago and it is being delivered to a different store next week. This has hurt so many brides, and many, like me, are on a tight budget. This has damaged my wedding plans. I hope they are happy with themselves, taking happy brides' money, and squandering it. The person who owned this store should be ashamed of themselves.

i actually worked there, and no one was aware that this was happening. We were told the day of our shift to simply not come in. So no, no one at the store deliberatelty lured you in to steal your money. How about all the employees that are now unemployed, that is a tragedy, not that your dress was not delivered exactly when you wanted it to be. brides should get out of their self absorbed little worlds and realize that their weddings are not the most important thing ever, everyone gets married, get over it. stop being to self obsessed and stop to think about the people that worked there, and the owners that are now bankrupt. get over yourself and your wedding.

  • By: MT23
    Agreed!

    I agree with my co-worker

I think I was the one who took your money, and no I didn't know I was not going to have a job in a week. I seriously think you and every other bride freaking out about this bankruptcy is legitimately insane. Maybe you were insane before your wedding, maybe your wedding made you insane. In any case, you’re crazy. It’s a business, and businesses go bankrupt. That’s life, and it’s a risk you take when you put deposits down on things. Get out of your wedding crazed bubble and recognize this. This wasn’t a personal attack on you to take your money. What use do I have for your money. You think I rang you and your bridesmaids in stealing your money? I don’t get a cut and we don’t work on commission. You will find another dress and look boring and unmemorable on your wedding day (despite what you may think), and in the long run the money would be a waste either way. A business went under!!! 10 people and their families are down and out! Get over yourself, get on with your day, dump a load of money attempting to look special and move on.

The purpose of a review is to share your opinions about a company with prospective customers. In case you didn’t know, WE’RE CLOSED!!!! No more customers!! Therefore your review is of no value and is but a sign of your lack of intelligence!

If you haven’t noticed, the owner is working his ass off to resolve these issues and has made arrangements with just about every vendor. In your particular circumstance, you have or will have arrangements made and you have PLENTY of time. MOVE ON!!!!

Bridal and Beyond is by far the worst bridal boutique. A warning to all brides that they should not buy any dress from this boutique. I thought it was a reputable boutique. My mother in law ordered her dress from bridal and beyond. They sent it in the wrong colour and late. The boutique said the right dress wouldn't come in on time and didn't offer a fix. We spent so much time negotiating with them, it felt like we were at a flea market. They wanted my mother in law to buy the sample dress and us to cover the alteration cost, cleaning cost and whatever else that was necessary. When we asked for a refund, they said no at first. We had to push them for a refund and run out to another store three weeks before the wedding to find her a dress. Every time we were in the store, a bride was in complaining because she too was sent the wrong order, it was late, etc. etc. It is worth the drive to Woodbridge to find a proper bridal boutique instead of dealing with these clowns. I'm sure they violate all kinds of consumer laws and regulations and can't wait for the day that this store shuts down.

Let me tell you a little story about a store called Bridal & Beyond:
- ordered a dress and was sent the WRONG dress in the WRONG color
- ordered 5 bridesmaids dresses which were supposed to be in in May; they arrived in JULY
- 3 out of the 5 bridesmaids dresses were TOO SMALL (we ordered based on what the moron measuring us told us she thought we needed)and when my MOH was trying on her dress the sales associate named KAREN basically told my MOH that it was her fault and that she had gained 2 INCHES in 5 months!! Impossible when my MOH is still wearing pants/ clothes from a year ago
- when asked what they were going to do about it, they said that they 'MIGHT' be able to swap the sizes for ones that fit
- they re-measured them and found that ENZOANI had cut 2 of the dresses too small but my MOH's dress was fine (bullsh!t)
- they would have to be sent to vancouver, re-measured by ENZOANI and then 'maybe' we would be sent the right sizes

NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS IS THE WORST BRIDAL STORE WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. THE STAFF IS RUDE (EXCEPT FOR SARAH, SHE'S DELIGHTFUL), THE OWNER IS A MORON AND ENZOANI SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO MAKE ANOTHER DRESS, EVER!!

DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING!!

If you want your dress for the lowest price, by all means, go here.

If you're looking for good service, and a positive bridal experience, go somewhere else. If I were to do it over again, I would buy my dress somewhere else and get them to price match it.

Ps - STAY AWAY from their seamstress, she is horrible, and rude. Rushes people, and also does not know what she is doing!! I had my first fitting, and she didn't seem to know how to do a bustle, so I decided to pay for my dress and go somewhere else, well she made me pay $30 for her "wasted time" which was like 20 minutes of trying to figure out how to bustle my dress! So disappointing!

The store should take more accountability for the seamstress they use.

We purchased my bridal gown back in October 2010, it came in around March 2011 and no one bothered to call me to inform me...so after I called, they said "oh yah, it's in, someone should've called you". Then I went in on April 15 or so to try it on and even though we paid extra to have it "made to emasure" the dress waist was too small and teh hips too large. Then when I questioned what happened, they said "all dresses are not made in a perfect fit and that they measured me right and maybe I gained weight". Unbelievable. Then, we proceeded to make a seamstress fitting appt. with tehir ONLY seamstress. She was 15 min late but scolded my mother & I and said "get in the room & try the dress, I only ahve 10 minutes to get you pinned and have lots of other appt's today". I have never felt more like a secodn class citizen in my life. And after paying for the dress in full (over $2500) they could care less as they had their sale and claimed they were not responsible for the seamstress's bad service or lack of professionalism. This gets worse if you can beleive it...so, after leaving the dress with the rude seamstress, I thought it over for a day and decided I wanted my dress back as she was extremely rude and made me feel horrible, so why would I want someone like that handling my wedding dress...what is supposed to be the happiest occassion of my life. The store manager said she'd call teh seamstress and tell her I want the dress back as she hasn't started workingh on it yet. But the next day, teh manager called me to say that the seamstress refused to return my dress to the store or release it to us unless we paid her $100 for her 10 minutes to pin the dress. Blackmail, extortion, holding my dress hostage..whatever you wish to call it...highly illegal, unethical and unprofessional...not to mention angering and upsetting a bride-to-be!!! WOW!!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BRIDAL & BEYOND (either location) EVER!!!!!

This is so similar to what happened to me! Unbelievable. Now I truly understand the saying, "you get what you pay for". I am so thankful that my FMIL convinced me not to leave the dress with the seamstress that night... I just had a bad feeling about it, but didn't know how to say no! No longer did I feel bad after she demanded $30 for doing nothing basically, I shouldn't have paid.

If you are looking for a quick in and out when purchasing your dress, with no service or help then I suggest going here. However, if you are like most brides you want looking for your dress to be a special experience, and it will be anything but. Their is a high turnover at this store and always new employees. Therefore no one knows what they're doing, how to do measurements, and your waiting forever to be helped. Regardless of your appoinment time you will be sitting there waiting for up to an hour before your seen. Once you are given a room, your attendant is no where to be found as they quadruple book appointments here. HIgh turnover=poor service. The attendats are over-worked and not nice one bit. Plus all the dresses and veils are dirty. Feels like your at a second hand shop. I would suggest going to a boutique where one person is helping you, the dresses are bagged(to keep clean) and the ppl working there actually enjoy there job.

I get better service at the mall.

First time dress shopping, and I was so dissapointed after being at this store. Worst customer service I have EVER encountered. The staff were not helpful, did not know the dresses/prices. Many dresses that were supposed to be at the Missisauga store (as per their website) were not there. Changerooms were small, cramped, whole dressing area was a disaster. Overall terrible experience. Even if I found my dream dress I would NOT buy it at this store.

I recently visited B&B in Mississauga as I was curious to see what they had to offer. I am getting married in October of this year and had not yet purchased my dress when I went to check out the store.

Not only was I not acknowledged when I walked into the store, but the sales staff that were on duty were chatting and laughing about a customer(bride to be)and how they did not foresee her getting her dress in time!!!! Defenitely NOT a store I would recommend to my worst enemy.

The store is disgusting and in need of an update. I honestly, for the life of me cannot understand how this location is still in business. Please take this review under consideration before visiting B&B. There are so many other bridal stores that want and deserve your business.

Think twice before visiting!

I work at a retailer that carries higher priced products, and found that their service was great. They were very nice to me and seemed to know what they were talking about, if they didnt, they did whatever they could to find out. I think that brides need to take into consideration that if they want treatment like kleinfelds, they can pay $150 or whatever it is they charge, per appointment. Bridal stores are only an avenue through which you get product, so if your product is defective or late, for whatever reason, it isnt a bridal store's fault, its the peoples who make/deliver the product. And also, having worked in retail, I know how customers can be regarding telling the whole entire truth, for every store that has 1 million great reviews, only the 100 shitty ones get posted, I recommend them!

Recently my sister had gone booked an appointment at Bridal and Beyond in Toronto where it was her first experience actually going to try dresses on.

Unfortunately, the staff were rude to her and almost treated her as if she was "taking up their precious time." It was her first time so I can understand that a sales associate might think they are less likely to get a sale from this bride but by being inconsiderate and insulting to a client sure WON'T get you a sale even with the little chance that sales associate HAD!

I would NEVER recommended this place to any bride who is on the lookout for her perfect dress! they don't take into consideration what YOU the buyer wants and what your specific needs are, and on top of it all, you will get an un-knowledgeable, un-interested women with a hotfoot.

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses from the Dundas store (luckily I had already ordered my gown from a different store). My MOH and I went on a weekday morning to check out the dresses, there was barely any customers in the store and even then the sales woman was "too busy" to help. After we ordered the dresses we were told an aproximate delivery date but the dresses came in much later from what I was told and when I picked them up they were all wrinkled. They offered to steam them but said that it would take them a day or two to do it! but since the dresses were late, I had to take them elsewhere so that we would have time left for alterations.
Terrible experience.

The employeees have no experience in customer service. It is just a job and hence because of their lack of courtesy and ability to make people feel welcomed, they are driving people away. My bridesmaid and I went to this store and were treated like second class citizens because we were not in there looking for a bridal dress. We were looking for bridesmaid dresses and were left searching and trying on on our own dresses. No one assisted us.

They lost a lot of business because I will not be recommending them to anyone!

I went to this store only because of the large selection, but never should have ordered from them. Although we had an appointment the only girl who seemed to be working was also helping another large group of bridesmaids...so we were left alone most of the time, with no one to help with even clipping the dresses. We had to wait for about 30 minutes while she measured the other group, then she began to measure our group. Most of my bridesmaids were concerned about the dress sizes and measurements they were given, but the girl kept telling us the sizes would be perfect, and actually said "if I didn't think it would fit I wouldn't write it on the form".

We picked up our dresses yesterday and of course they all fit poorly. The worst was one dress that was clearly 4 inches too big...so about 2-4 dress sizes!!! Unbelievable! The dress honestly didn't even need to be undone to be taken on or off.

The only thing they did about this was to bring over the order form and point to the measurements that were taken and then offer to re-measure...however even if they remeasured they weren't going to reorder or even offer to do the fitting for free. Thankfully none of my bridesmaids are getting their dresses fitted at the store...who knows what disasters would happen.

Also, a couple months ago I decided to stop by the store to pick up a swatch. I got stuck in traffic and got to the store at exactly closing time...normally a business would at least acknowledge that you were at the door, and kindly say "I'm sorry, we're closed". However the two snotty girls who were closing wouldn't even look at the door...they just stood at the cash desk and laughed to each other. A couple of snotty B's if you ask me. I would never, ever refer this store to anyone who wants to be treated like a human being while planning their wedding.

Absolutely WORST service EVER!!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

My cousin is getting married this weekend and I'm a bridesmaid. The dresses were ordered back in February and all of them except mine, came in the right colour. Because I got fitted 4 days after the other girls, they sent in the orders separately! (the bride confirmed with the store that they wouldn't do that, and they did).

Anyway, my dress came in the wrong colour, and with only 4 weeks till the wedding, it was pretty stressful. The store ordered me another dress, which came from China and cost $150 to rush ship via FedEx. The store tried to charge me $50 of this shipping fee and $25 for the fabric change that wasn't made on the dress in the first place (hence, the incorrect colour).

The dress was $300, plus an additional $84 (with taxes) for shipping on another dress and fabric change.

I argued that I, the customer, should NOT have to pay any of the shipping fee, since it was the store's mistake in the first place. Instead of the kind of customer service that you'd expect from a bridal store, the store manager told me that I needed to take responsibility for this mistake!!

Then she proceeded to argue with me in front of other customers and say that she couldn't deal with this because she had to pick up her kids from day care.

Wow, amazing service huh? I've never been treated so terribly in a store in my life.

The store manager also knew that I was there 4 weeks prior to picking up the dress, to try on wedding dresses, as I'm getting married next year. So not only did they lose a sale on a wedding gown, but also six bridesmaid dresses of my own wedding party.

I hope that whoever reads this, thinks twice about shopping for the most important day of their lives at this store.

Liz

I purchased a Maggie Sottero wedding gown from Bridal and Beyond in September. I went to the store at a quiet time and all of the sales associates were really helpful and made me feel good about the dress I chose. My dress came in just before Christmas. I was notified that when my dress came in, they were steaming and inspecting it and found a bunch a little spots on the back of the train on my dress. I came in to look at my dress to see how bad it was. The spots were really small but actually took up a lot of the train and there was also a separate stain that was not noticed before, so the sales associate that was helping me said that they would call Maggie Sottero and send back my dress for them to look at and then let me know what would happen. A few weeks went by, and a sales associate called me to say that Maggie Sottero would be making me a new dress. She explained that they took a little while to look at the dress and wanted to just send it to a cleaning service to get the stains out, but Bridal and Beyond insisted that a new dress be made for me instead, since no one could determine what the stains were. My new dress arrived in the middle of April in perfect condition. I’m not concerned about facing another issue with my dress or anything else that I have ordered from the store and waiting to come in because I know that there will be plenty of time to fix it again if anything goes wrong, and I feel that the Bridal and Beyond staff will do their best.

I tried to make an appt. with Bridal & Beyond, called during their posted business hours, left a message and no one returned my call. Only through my frustration with not being able to talk to a "live" person there did I ask for my sister's help. Luckily, because she knew how to get past their messaging system, she was able to book me an appt.

So, I went with my mom and my sisters to the store on a Saturday afternoon. Granted, the store may have been busy but when we walked in, no store clerk greeted us or even acknowledged we had arrived. It was difficult also to recognize the employee from the customer as the employees were not dressed professionally and they did not wear any name tags. After browsing around the store we proceeded to the racks of dresses staring at us and decided to sift through them. I have to say I was utterly DISGUSTED!!! The dresses were filthy ... I thought to myself, has this place ever thought about dry cleaning these. I work in the healthcare field and I could only imagine the dirt and bacteria growing on these filthy gowns. And when you as a customer are paying more than a thousand dollars on a dress, you expect a lot more.

After about 15 minutes, we were not even approached by a sales staff asking if we needed any help. Don't forget, I had an appt. but that didn't mean anything here. Finally, I went up to a guy sitting at one of the computers and asked him if he worked there. He said yes and told me I needed to "register" here. He directed me to one of there 2 computers and told me to fill out the info and then find a sales person and they will help me. Yeah, right, easier said than done. Needless to say, I couldn't find a sales clerk and went up to the male associate again. He gave my paper to another girl who introduced herself first by saying that the person who was to look after me was on her break. Oh great, I thought! Then this girl says you can look around and put any of the dresses you want to try on here and she'll find me a dressing room. I had questioned her as to whether these were the only dresses available to try on because I was so disgusted by the dirt on them. Her response was, "Yeah, they're okay" .. not even acknowledging my complaint.

As I, my mom and sisters had made the trip to this store, I decided to try on gowns that didn't look like they've been dragged through the mud. We found the girl who was "helping" us and she took the dresses and showed me to a dressing room. The change rooms are just as dirty and run down as the dresses. Certainly not a place that one would feel confident and pretty. There was only one clip provided to us. When we asked for more, the helper looked at us like were on crack. I am a petite girl and I'm sorry that the sample size 10 doesn't fit me so I need clips to pin the back of dress so I can at least get a sense of what it would look like on me. The helper left to go find some and came back with one more. Then she left again so my sisters had to help me with the dresses.

I was so turned off by this experience that unfortunately I was in no mood to try on any more. We walked out of there and our last impression was "EEEWWWWWW!!!!"

I booked an "apt" at this store and had the exact same experience and reaction... especially to the dirty dresses. This place almost ruined my day.

    Same horrible experience.

I just wrote a review about a bridesmaid dress that I bought for my cousin's wedding this weekend, however my experience in trying on wedding gowns felt a lot like yours.

I will NEVER go back there, and I'd advise everyone else not to. The happiest day of your life should be treated as such...especially by people who work in the industry.

I'm totally disgusted with this shop.

LOVELY EXPERIENCE February 13, 2010
By: KAS

I was in Bridal & Beyond with 5 bridesmaids - some more difficult to shop with than others. I just have to say the girl that helped us was fantastic and a huge help. She was very busy (looked to be helping a few people at the same time) but she was always available to answer a question or look up whether a dress would match the colour I had chosen. I just had to write how wonderful she was and my girls were also impressed. It was a lovely experience!

I ordered my dress from bridal and beyond in July and was told to call them in Nov. In October I received a call saying that my dress was ready for pick up, I was also told that I had to pick it up now or I would be receiving additional charges for holding the dress for me. I therefore went to the store the next day to pick it up and they told me that I have to have an appointment. Can someopne please tell me why they didn't informe me of this when they were rushing me on the phone the day before? I waited 45min for a changing room and apparently they still didn't have one available. A sales lady heard me talking and said that she didn't have another appointment for another 45min so she could help me. When I went back to the changing area there was not a single person back there. NOT ONE!!! so how is it that there was no change rooms available when there were 6 unoccupied ones?

If it wasn't for that one sales girl (and my $600 deposit)I would have left. Their customer service is SOOO bad it's disgusting. I would seriously suggest that you go somewhere else for your gown, they don't deserve you as a customer.

At first visit, this place was very helpful & my bride friend actually returned later to order her gown & our bridesmaids' dresses.
Once the money was paid, things changed. The brides' dress was 2 inches short WITHOUT her heels. My $200 bridesmaid dress took 4 months to arrive & it was incredibly long. It was also badly wrinkled from the waist down. This store refused to de-wrinkle or steam it for me at no cost!
While I was picking up my bridesmaid dress, I asked to try on gowns for my wedding. No one helped us, I had my Mom help me with the dresses & then they had the nerve to ask me when I was done if I was going to buy my dress from them?! The store is dirty, there is not a big selection of dresses & the ones that ARE available are ripped & torn and very dirty.
Awful experience for a Bride AND Bridesmaids.

BAD SERVICE July 2, 2009

I bought an expensive gown from this store expecting to receive better service than small boutiques. Unfortunately, the lady who helped serve me told me I wouldn't need a rush on my wedding (5 months away). So I waited patiently for my dress until about 3 weeks before my wedding. When I called to ask about the status of my dress, they said it hadn't even been shipped yet! They had to call the supplier. They then told me they'd call me back by the end of the week. They didn't. I asked to speak to a manager but apparently he barely goes into the store. I left three messages and no one has called me. Since when do businesses not value their customers?? I went to pick up my dress finally but this place was NOT WORTH the stress I encountered. I will never recommend this place to anyone. As a bride you'll want the least possible stress leading up to your wedding. This is not the place to get it.

The final decision should be the customers

I purchased my gown at bridal and beyond(in toronto)and the delivery time given to me was 4-6 months on a regular order, and my wedding was 5.5 months from the date I ordered, and 4 months from now! They did not recommend a rush order for me, but, given the approximate delivery time I requested one. So really you could have chosen to take the rush, as I did, eventhough it was not recommended.... Better safe then sorry! It is your gown!

  • By: OMNIA

I agree, I should have asked for the rush given the timeline. However, their employees should be better trained to help brides make an informed decision. She said she'd call me if she felt it was necessary to place a rush order. I never heard from them and the website said it would arrive a month before the wedding. Regardless, I can still understand the fact that things happen and it could be late, but shouldn't I receive a courtesy call telling me that? Also, why can't the manager return one of my 3 left messages? The fact that they don't care enough to talk to their customers just tells you that "you're one in a million and we don't need your business". I've worked in customer service for 6 years. The customer should always feel important.

Although these reviews all seem bad my experience with bridal and beyond was good! During my first visit the store was quite busy and hectic and although the sales representative was helping two other girls including myself she was very attentive. I did have an issue with my gown when it arrived, or should I say did not arrive in time and then had a defect when I picked it up and it felt as though the day would never come, bridal and beyond had my gown repaired be the designer and shipped back in time for my alterations which they also arranged for their seamstress to do in time for my wedding. They kept me informed and were very helpfull and understanding of my breakdown! Now that my wedding day has past and I think back, it is a very stressfull time and are we just quick to lay the blame? and with the obvious traffic in and out of that store, what I consider as good customer service may not be the same as the next girl, and in that case how can they make everyone happy! Also, being in customer service myself I do understand and can give these girls some credit, we all have bad days and having an unhappy customer who may be having a bad day as well can lead to a misunderstanding, and then their is always the case of an unreasonable bride, myself incl...Therefore I give bridal and beyond 3.5 stars for the customer service one should expect in a high demand store with demanding customers, myself incl again, and for issue resolving! I do agree though that getting through to their phone lines is impossible! But again, they could be busy serving customers!

when i first visited bridal and beyond, I had a FABULOUS saleslady who found all the dresses I brought pictures of and actually picked out the dress I bought based on what I loved about those dresses BUT...

I got a call when my dress was ready for pick up (in Mississauga) stating that I had 2 weeks to pick it and not to come on the weekend because there'd be no room for me. I asked them to ship it to the Toronto store but they said no. When I trekked to Sauga, I was ignored for several minutes even though the store was not busy at all. The new (HORRIBLE & RUDE!) saleslady abandoned me to try on the dress (that I paid for!) by myself while my maid of honour chose me veils.

Luckily the original FABULOUS saleslady was there to redeem my visit and make me feel beautiful and appreciated and help me into and out of my dress. Overall, very disappointing service. WORST customer service I've experienced so far!

Why would you work at a bridal store if you don't want to be there?

I drove two and a half hours to go to this store and i didn't even want to try on the dresses... they were filthy and every single one of them was stained with something. They give you no personal attention what so ever and make it very hard to try on dresses because they won't help you find any. We eventually picked one out BY OURSELVES and placed the order.

When i arrived back to pick up the dresses a few months later it was right before 10:00 when they open. There were five of us waiting outside the store and it became after ten o'clock and staff was still entering the building and locking the door behind them, at one point one of the staff members who was about the enter stopped and had a cigarrette right outside of the front door! DISGUSTING! No paying customer needs to see that! She was very rude to me when i asked if we could go in and she said to me "We work to the minute" with a very harsh tone in her voice... meanwhile it was after 10 o'clock!

all in all this place is horrible... I was really hoping for a more memorable experience, but in a good way! I would say stick to smaller bridal boutiques where people actually value your business! I am very glad I didn't order my wedding dress from there!

I would not recommend this store to anyone, Bridal and Beyond is a total waste of time!

I am a bride and was so dissatisfied with the so called service provided by Bridal and Beyond, my bridesmaids purchased their dresses there and ALL of them were defective. We had issues with this store since DAY 1, it seems no one there knows what customer service is. The staff is rude and only know how to give attitude that is uncalled for. They guarantee the best price but it's NOT TRUE. This store does not understand how important word of mouth is, because I have a big mouth and know tons of people. When I tried to speak with the "head manager" about the issues we were experiencing I got even worse service and no explanation, no apology, nothing at all. We asked for refunds but it's too late. Please people, whatever you do, DO NOT GIVE BRIDAL AND BEYOND YOUR BUSINESS, if they do not appreciate their customers they deserve to be SHUT DOWN!!! The store is messy and dirty, as are the dresses we are supposed to be trying on. We were alone most of the time and had to look for the dresses we wanted to see/try on.

The store manager was the worst one

I dealt with the store manager on a huge bridesmaid dress issue and got the same rude attitude as you did.

Totally agree...this store should be SHUT DOWN!
