Recently,I purchased the combo on sale at the Outlet center. Prior to the purchase my daughter had contacted Caplan's appliances over the phone and received good service and information from the salesman, Pierre Jamil. Went to the outlet in person and received help from an employee who was not a salesperson. He was very friendly and went to look for Pierre Jamil. The information and service from Pierre was very professional,helpful and without pressure. The contact was pleasant and honest. The delivery went smoothly and the 3 young men were professional and courteous. Overall, the experience with Caplan's employees was the most positive experience I have had with that kind of service.

6 years ago I purchased a GE Profile Range from Caplans. I love the Range. Recently I had a gasket on one of the ovens wear out from use (lots of use!!). I had a hard time finding the part, as they seemed to be on back order across North America. I stopped into Caplans. One of the great guys and the counter put me in touch with Carmen - their go-to-guy at Mabe Canada - the parts supplier. To make a long story short, 1 call to Carmen not only produced the part direct from GE within 2 days (and I'm up in Timmins, Ontario), but it arrived with NO BILL. When I called Carmen, he explained that it was a customer service gesture from Caplans! Some talk about customer service - Caplans delivers the goods! Caplans will be my go to appliance dealer for as long as I buy appliances and Carmen is on my Christmas Card list!

Caplans was easy to deal with and reliable. The range was quoted, ordered, received and delivered as promised. Questions and concerns were dealt with clearly and promptly. Caplans referred installers who were also good to deal with and did an excellent job.

I recently sent the manager of Caplan's an email, praising his salesperson and kitchen company recommendation. This is what I wrote:

Dear Steve,

We purchased a Dacor stove from your store in 2011. We did not take delivery of the stove until May 2012. Let me explain why.

We were never certain as to what we wanted to do with our kitchen. We needed a new stove, but we also needed to do some work in our kitchen. We met with Nancy Bedard last winter and she spent much time with us addressing the issues in our kitchen. During our discussions, she recommended that we meet with Joe de Sousa from Times Kitchen, to get a quote to re-do part of an area in our kitchen. Well - as they say - the rest is history. Both Nancy and Joe worked together to plan and design the most beautiful and practical kitchen, using the space we have and on our budget. The net result is we have a dream kitchen, equipped with the state of the art appliances and exquisite crafted cabinets.

I want you to know that both Nancy Bedard and Joe de Sousa were extremely knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Nancy helped me pick the most stunning and practical appliances - always being cognisant of our budget. And Joe - well he was amazing too! He listened carefully to our wish list, our budget and our timeline - he managed to accomplish all of this. With Joe, there has never been an issue which was too small or too big that he could not handle.

I would highly recommend these two professionals, who operate above the industry standards.

Paul Turner was a great salesperson. He explained the value of a bosch dishwasher without any pressure. My husband and I decided to try a few other stores and when we got back to Caplan's Paul was off sick. I am glad we waited until his return because he responded to our request and the dishwasher was delivered in 2 days.

Dealing with Caplan's was a pleasure from start to finish! We were greeted when we came through the door (but not swarmed - you know the difference! Leonard Pleasant was the Sales Rep who assisted us. He has the ability to "read" customers and know what approach to take. He has a bright and happy manner and presents product benefits in a sincere and sensible way. We came in for one appliance and ended up buying 3! I'd call that successful! The prices were good, with some discounts that were appealing.
The process of email notification for delivery confirmation makes tremendous sense and worked exactly as promised. The delivery drivers called us and were then exactly when they said they would be. They were friendly but professional, (played with the dog for a minute which he loved!), were neat and careful. They took the old appliance as promised and said they would find it a good home, which pleased us!

CAPLANS DELIVERY February 22, 2013

Caplan's tried to deliver a stove to me and tried to leave without opening the box. Luckily, I checked the stove and it's front glass was shattered. The same thing occurred with the fridge they delivered, it was hauled into the house with slight damage yet they tried to get me to sign off without inspecting it. When they redelivered the next fridge it had dents yet they refused to replace it. We paid full price for scratch and dent products.
You'll be far better to go somewhere else!

Fantastic prices / fantastic quality - very happy with entire purchase and process. We bought 5 appliances, 5 months in advance of our kitchen reno to take advantage of sale pricing and Caplans held onto our appliances until the stage of the install was ready. We compared pricing at a few of their competitors for such a large purchase and they were by far the best. They are completely professional / knowledgable and helpful. Will ONLY shop there from now on for any appliances in the future.

Sometimes you get good prices, and sometimes you get good service. Caplans gave me both. My sales person bent over backwards to make sure I had the best price, the right delivery time, the right product to match my needs. I would highly recommend this store.

My (very old) washing machine broke, in the end with great timing, as Caplan's yearly sale was just on.
Even in the midst of this very busy time, I felt very personably and very well looked after - thank you, Pierre Jamil!
And thank you for recommending Tony from Top Gun Appliance. He made all new connections for a Miele washer instead of an old dishwasher, and it works beuatifully.
I also picked up a kitchen hood from the floor along the way and am happy with it, a great buy, and thank you Pierre.
Also, compliments to the chef who baked (German?!) cakes - they were amazing, thanks!

We began researching appliances for our home two weeks prior to coming to Caplan's Appliances. All of the sales personell that we dealt with were very friendly, courteous and helpful. However, not all stores had all appliance brands.
When we arrived at Caplan's, it was only to find a very busy location, with dozens of customers and sales staff working diligently with everyone.
Our Sales Rep was Frank Minella. He looked after us with a smile, was not harried in any way, gave us his full attention, and was very knowledgeable about the products in the store.
He took the time to inform us of the differences between each one, and his opinion of each based on statistics of warranty, need to repair and location of manufacture. He worked with us for 2 hours, and told us that we could return after we shopped around (which we had already done).
We returned the next day, and again, he spent about 1/1/2 hrs with us...no pressure in any way.
We purchased all of our appliances from Caplan's on that day.
Thank you Frank and Caplan's for being very professional. We did not feel rushed by you (even though you stayed well past your work shift) Thanks to Caplan's for the refreshments.. The scent of home baking made us feel like we were in "real" kitchens in someone's homes. That is certainly a very good way to keep your clients happy, and not looking to run out for coffee and cookies!

Leonard was very helpful, and when he was off there was good back up. I bought two Bosch dishwashers from the Clearance Outlet, and a Jenn Air down draft stove from the regular showroom. A friend bought the same Bosch dishwasher on my recommendation, we are both happy with our purchases and the deals offered

We recently purchased a gas range from Caplan's. The entire experience was exceptional.The in store service and expertise provided by Debbie Wright was great.The follow up e-mail's outlining next steps re delivery were really timely and helpful.I made a special request for delivery which was promply dealt with and honoured. The delivery staff were amazing.

I would highly recommend this store to anyone.

My entire experience with Caplan's was fantastic. From the great service when we made the initial purchase to the delivery of my appliances. This is a first class operation. We ordered a washer and dryer from Caplans. The store is not located conveniently for me, but I went there because of recommendations from people I work with. The Caplans sales person was informative and patient. We had to suspend the order for reasons not associated with Caplans and then had no difficulty asking Caplans to re-activate the order when we were ready to have it delivered. All our transactions with Caplans, whether in person, on the phone or by email were pleasant and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend this store!

Our experience at Caplans was great! We were impressed by the knowledgeable staff and their friendly demeaner. They helped us make the best possible purchase meeting our needs. They were patient with us and answered all of our many questions. They made the process of buying appliances an enjoyable one, if that is even possible. We would definitely consider Caplans in the future and recommend Caplans to anyone in need of an appliance.

Caplans scheduled a delivery today between 9 and 4. They haven't shown up at 4:30! No calls nothing. No one answers the phone at the Store. Just bad service!

Service from Caplan's - from purchase through delivery - was friendly, efficient and on time. We did not get a chance to inspect the appliances, however, as they were delivered when I was not at home. Apart from that, however, everything was fine.
