When you walk into Cumbrae's - the appearance, the smells, the staff - it's nothing like the butcher your mother went to. This place is modern, clean and slick - it even feels high tech. And the meats are definetly a "cut above" - farm raised - by the same outfit (according to the website).
The staff is ultra friendly and they have two locations - uptown and downtown.
I love these guys. They are also very knowlegable and will advice on how to prepare this type of meat and that type of meat, have tons of gourmet seasonings etc. too bad they only have 2 locations .. every butcher should look like that. at least in terms of hygiene!
