    For over 17 years my family has gone to Don Valley North Lexus for both purchasing and servicing of our cars. It was never the closest dealer or service center, but they were always amazing to deal with and even though it was sometimes an inconvenience to get there we always had our cars serviced there..until last week. For several months my mom had been considering the purchase of a new car and finally decided on a model. Like our previous car purchases, we ordered a carcost quote. Normally I go with my mom and participate in the purchase she is now 75 and you know how people sometimes take advantage of the elderly. This is what I feel happened last week at DonValley North. I was away on vacation and my mom received a "VIP" invitation to a promotional event. She attended the event and informed the sales man that she would be interested in purchasing a vehicle that day if they could give her the carcost price. Purchasing that the day would also allow her to take advantage of the promotional incentives that were being offered by Lexus. A couple hours after signing, I received an email from my mom and immediately called her for the details. She told me that not only in addition to getting the carcost price, that she also received additional Lexus rebates. I was shocked when I heard how much she paid..... she didn't get any of this! She would get $250 off MSRP + the Lexus rebates! Nearly 2500 more than what she was promised. Yes there were some silly things tossed in (ipad), but are you serious??!!

    I immediately called the dealership and left a message with the General manger (Charles Grant - whom I have still not heard back from) and the sales manager (Chris Findlay). I was contacted by Chris and informed him of the situation and that I was hoping to rectify the situation and let him know that they had no way started at the carcost price like they had promised. I know theres no cooling off period that applies when purchasing cars, but I was hopeful that they would atleast try and right (or at least better) the situation. I was wrong. He was demeaning, condescending and just plain rude. He informed that he had a binding contract and that there was no way he was renegotiating regardless of what was promised to my mom and he would not do anything to better the situation because she got a great deal. When I mentioned that this was horrible way to treat a long time loyal customer and that this would end our dealings with Don Valley Lexus, he just laughed and said "doesn't effect me, I'm in sales and we have a signed contract. It was a pleasure dealing with you." Click, he hangs up.

    Several days passed with still no delivery date. we suddenly received a phone call from the sales guy (Moses) who had previously made himself unavailable to us even after numerous calls. After trying to sweet talk my mom, the salesman in him came out. He wanted to meet with my mom and show her that the car/color she ordered was really difficult to keep clean and that a different color would be better. He also had a special gift for her in an attempt to right the situation ... Sounds suspicious?!? You bet! After contacting Lexus Canada and explaining the situation, we learned the car/color we ordered was not available. Funny huh? How quickly their attitude switched when they are now the ones on the hot seat...

    So in the end, they sold us a car that doesn't exist and can't be produced. Although they did try and convince that there was a car matching our order in BC that they would absorb the shipping cost for, or they could credit this amount the purchase price if we accepted a different color. We knew from Lexus Canada that there was no car in this color available. We informed Charles that we would only accept the car we ordered. About a week later we called to follow up with when we could expect delivery of the car, and we were informed that they just learned that we were unhappy with the deal and that they would be willing to cancel the transaction. We accepted knowing full well, that they were willing to cancel the deal, not because we were unhappy, but because they couldn't get the car we ordered. Fortunately for us, not out of their kindness, but their own lack of due diligence were we able to get out of the contract.

    I think what they did was extremely slimy and underhanded especially since it went all the way up to the sales manager (Chris Findlay) and supported by the General manger (Charles Grant). You would think they would treat a long time loyal customer a little (or alot) better! Needless to say, we will no longer be recommending this dealership, nor will we be having our cars purchased or serviced there or their sister toyota dealership.

    Just a warning to all. Sorry for the long read but I really felt that I needed to share.

      Interesting read. Glad to hear you were finally able to get out of the deal. Definitely questionable behaviour on their side. We ended up going to Richmond Hill after reading this, but then found out they're the same owners. Ended up purchasing from downtown lexus.

    LEXUS SERVICE

    I had a flat tire due to some pot hole or ice along Steele near Bayview last Sunday. Lexus roadside assistance was quick to arrive and replaced my flat with a spare.

    Next morning, I called my service advisor, Ping Lo, to have a new tire when the old one was not reparable. Everything was done swiftly and in a professional manner.

    We stepped in to the Don Valley North Lexus Dealership after looking around some other places for a new car and we were not disappointed. The RX 350 caught our eyes and we were serviced by a Manfred K. He did absolutely everything necessary to help us with our purchase and more. The excellent customer service exceeded our expectations. I wildly recommend this dealership!

    There are about 8 to 10 Lexus Dealership in the GTA, and ONLY Don Valley North Lexus constantly receive 4 stars and 95% 5 stars reviews every week or so, while the others dealership receive no review. Statistic tells me that these cannot be true, or DVNL must provide extremely/outstanding services that no other car dealership in the world can match. This is very very suspicious.

    Can you trust this dealership. You really have to think about it yourself.

    While my old Lexus was still running very well, I wanted a new RX350 which I bought and picked up 2 days ago. It looks and runs great, I am pleased with my decision to stay with Lexus at Don Valley North since both my wife and I drove a Lexus and the urge for me to switch to a different brand was big and we did test drive others.

    I want to commend the dealership and their sales consultant Susan Qiu for the superb job done in striving to perfect the area of their Customer Satisfaction.

    We just bought our first Lexus from Don Valley North Lexus and couldn't be happier! The experience we had them was outstanding. Jim S., our sales rep, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our purchase.     I have been going to Don Valley Lexus for 11 years I have a Lexis RX 300. I love my car. It is still like new. Hiroshi my service contact is outstanding and is always there for me. When I drive in for Service Don Valley Lexus makes me feel important. They know my name and return the car with the same settings. (seat, radio, etc) I give then 5stars and the honour role!!!!!

    I had a great experience when I purchased my RX350. You are welcomed with a smile into the dealership. The salesperson took me on a tour of the facility with a smile. He took the time to explain the costing of the car. More importantly he was willing to listen to my counter quotes with a smile. I would recommend Don Valley North Lexus to any one. I would also recommend dealing with Mr.Moses, sales executive, in the dealership. He is a great guy.

    I expressed interest in a demo CT 200 some time ago. The salesman, whom I know from before, promised me a great price. Which it was - some $6000 less than the typical sales price. Great!!

    When we sat down to the nitty gritty, it went up some $5000!! All the taxes, PDI suddenly appeared! Not such a great deal after all. When I gave my counter offer, based on the original figure, he lost his temper & practically kicked me out his office! I was too dumbstruck to respond that I based it on his original figure. And why the ?@%&^ did he not disclose the additional costs..not even to say that his original amount was TOTALLY misleading.

    I left feeling most dissatisfied. Even more irksome was this. In the weeks following I left NO LESS THAN 2 MESSAGES, for Chris Findley, head of new car sales. He is yet to return my calls. Finally, a few weeks after that I called Charles Grant, who heads the entire operation. Miracle!! He returned my call within 15 minutes tops! And he patiently listened to my story & apologised & promised to follow up. Now there's professionalism!

    I purchased my NEW vehicle (the demo was hardly worth the discount) from a leasing agent. No haggling and with a decent discount.

    The salesman I worked with will remain anonymous. However, subsequent enquiries about the vehicle's workings were explained to me by a very efficient OTHER salesman - Colin Myles. I might recommend him in the future, though in truth my opinion of their sales dept has taken a severe plunge d/t my earlier experience.

    Service is excellent. Arthur St Bernard is a pleasure to deal with. I have had my vehicle for over 18 months & no complaints. Even a courtesy tire & oil check is done efficienty with a courtesy wash including the mats inside the vehicle.

    don't buy from don valley north lexus!!

    i had been communicating with a sales rep. online for the past couple of weeks and decided to drop by to see a preowned car at don valley north lexus. i would only deal with this person as she had been so helpful with my inquiries.

    upon arrival, i was met by a sale person named tony.
    from first impression he was arrogant and didn't seem to want to help. i guess he thought that i was not buying. i asked about the price of an IS250 that they had out in the lot. he said that he would find out for me, only to never return.

    i went inside to ask for service.
    first impression of the dealer was disappointing as well, a full staff on hand and i was not greeted by anyone at all.

    i walked over to the used car kiosk and asked for my sales rep. by name. tony advised me that he has not heard of this person and that the car that i was looking for was not available and proceeded to upsell me on a different car.
    i just wanted to see a car!!

    it wasn't until i told him that i had communicated with her early that day that he stop trying. he was not interested in helping me anymore. probably couldn't steal the commission. he advised that i just call her on my own.

    i thought that if this was the type of service that i can come to expect from don valley lexus, post purchase, i was better off going elsewhere.

    i was greeted and provided with great service at northwest lexus. they did everything that they could to help and i got the car that i wanted.

    I brought my car in for service today. Unexpectedly, I received a car cleaning service free of charge. However, it turns out to be a disaster. When I picked up my car from the parking lot, I noticed dry water stains all over my car which I think it was left to air dry. There were water stains on the inside of my car as well. The car mat of driver side was so dirty. My car (new car picked up 5 days ago) was clean and shining when i first took it in but my car was dirty with lots of dry water stains in return. When I got home, I spent 20 min to wipe off the water stains on my car. And i noticed there's scratch on the back door. I was so upset because it is a brand new car. It looked like a scratch from some sort of metal. I understand it's a free service, however, a good job should be done to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
