First, the atmosphere...clean, modern, smells amazing. Aveda and bumble products are the studio line here and they have a nice selection for purchase up front. Your hair treatment starts with a brief stay on their couch at the back where you are offered coffee, tea, etc and can peruse a magazine if you wish. Then you are treated to a really nice scalp massage/relaxation by one of the assist. I love this part - . After the luxurious hair wash, off to the cut/style. I find the process quick but not rushed which is perfect as I'm usually ducking out of work to get it done.

One of the things I like about Epoca is there customer service . It's smart business of course to keep a customer but I like that they promote it. And we all know that stylists often hop shops so it's smart that they encourage you to stay should that happen to you. It did happen to me, the stylist I had been seeing left and I asked for a recommendation for someone else. They introduced me to the hair-stylist-of-my-life - Rocco

I have had the best haircuts of my life - consistently with Rocco. he has and therefore understands my fine yet curly hair and has this amazing ability to cut my hair so that just when you think it should be time for another cut it grows out so beautifully I get more compliments three months in than three days in. He`s professional and very talented.

I don't usually write reviews but felt my experience at Epoca was worth sharing. Not only is this a very inviting & attractive salon the staff are unforgettable. From the time i entered the salon until i left, i felt a great energy...the receptionists are very informative and professional, always smiling.Its refreshing to see a team of staff work so well together ( like family), happily sharing all their expertise. The two "Hair Professionals" Amanda - color tech. & Frank - Master stylist were outstanding. Amanda is noticeably a very confident, Happy individual who shows much passion in her work. She not only made my hair turn from dull to vibrant she made me feel Beautiful. I truly appreciated her explaining what & why she was using each product. I am very happy with the color. Frank- well, I would call frank an artist. he looks at you and envisions a style that suits you as an individual. Trust me, Trust him. His passion,honesty & experience provides him with a unique & successful technique. which, I have had a hard time finding. I left with the hair cut I've always wanted and could never find. I have gone to Christina for a few years and I am always very happy with my cut. She takes her time and is very precise. I haven't had much luck with having my colour done there unfortunately.

This salon has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They gave my coat to another client three weeks ago and refuse to do anything about.

Robin, is by far hands down the most amazing hair stylists I have ever been to. Im a bit high maintenance when it comes to having my hair blow dried just by anyone. I get my hair washed and dryed about once a month and out of the approx 6 stylists I've been I've always had to come home and fix my bangs. With Robin, I dont even have to tell her where I want my hair parted and shes on the ball! Epoca, don't lose Robon, I think I'll go nuts :)

Went to Epoca for the first time and randomly was assigned Amanda. She was sooo sweet, fun and bubbly! But more importantly, she gave me one of the best (or the best) colour jobs I have ever had!! Fantastic time there and amazing results!

I first got my hair cut by Domenic about 15 years ago. I have since moved to the States and have been traveling back to get my hair cut by him (and to see family). I always trust his vision and am never disappointed!

amanda does my colour - she is always so excited to do my colour i had come to the salon with brown, bleech blonde, low lites and dirty blonde roots coming in.. by the time i was done it looked completely natural and totally blendy shes the best

I just had my hair cut by Angela at Epoca and am 100% delighted! I haven't been this happy with a cut in years! I could tell that she really thought about the best way to style my hair, to get the results I want for short and long-term. I have now found my new stylist!

i`ve been going to epoca for a few years and saw some different stylists and have always had great haircuts.For the past few times i`ve been seeing rocco and i`ve been loving my hair!He`s very quit and classy but very funky at the same time. im just very happy going to epoca.

The cuts & colour were always fantastic, and Frank & Domenic are absolutely amazing.

The atmosphere in the salon can be a bit chi-chi. I had to wait a number of times, upwards of 30 min for a haircut after having had colour done. Appointment booking/timing could be a bit better.

I have been a customer of this salon off and on for a couple of years. (my daughter told me about them) Everytime I come away from there I am very pleased with the results. The cut always grows out perfectly. I always try to get Robin, who is wonderful, friendly, patient and gives a great cut. Thank you all for your great service.

I have been having my hair coloured by Taline for about 15 years. She is not only a very experienced and talented hair colourist but probably one of the sweetest, kindest and most positive people I have ever met. She is in a word a "doll". I am sure that every now and then Taline may get a client she cannot please or have to deal with a client who's hair has been previously damaged and therefore one that she cannot 'fix but this would definitely be a rare occurrence.

Taline epitomizes the staff at Epoca - they are all dedicated, thoughful, happy, kind and professional. The truest test of a salon is how long they keep their employees - at Epoca you rarely notice any staff change over. People who work at Epoca tend to stay at Epoca.

I was referred to Rocco about a year ago and before then i was going downtown and paying $90 for a cut. Ever since ive been seeing Rocco my hair has never looked this good and never had soo many complements!He`s on top of his game and seems to be getting sharper everytime i go in.Rocco is an amazing person inside out and cant wait to see him again,. thanks rocco

I was a very satisfied client of Epoca's for several years. With kids, my once free time became very limited and I could no longer take a half a day out of my schedule for a salon appointment. For this reason only, I unfortunately had to find a salon closer to home.

I miss Domenic's great cuts and Taleen's awesome colours. This bunch of people is one of the most professional and unpretentious you will find in the salon business - rare qualities in a generally egocentric industry. I hope you guys are doing great. I will drop in to say hello when I am in the area.

P.S. I miss my bumble and bumble super rich!

I have been going to Epoca for about 10 years and I have ALWAYS been very happy with my cuts and colour. They really are a great bunch of people, friendly, knowledgable, they know their business. Mrs. A is absolutely right on all counts.
I would recommend Epoca to anyone who likes to look good and feel welcome at their salon.

I have never had a bad experience at this salon. Everyone is courteous and pleasant. I feel like a valued customer every time I come in and I'm always excited to go and transform my look. All the stylists know what they're doing and are highly trained. They also make a mean cappuccino.

I have been a client of epoca for the past seven years and always leave very happy. They give great cuts that not only look great when i leave the salon but require little effort to maintain myself. I have recommended many of my friends and co-workers to epoca and they are all always very happy with the experience and quality of work.

I was a client of Sasoon for many years and came to Epoca quite by chance. I tried the salon 4 years ago and have remained with them ever since.
You are treated couteously from the moment you phone for an appointment until the time you leave.You are offered refreshments, up to date magazines and a clean pleasant environment. I have had numerous cuts, colour and styling... never have I been disappointed.
As I look around I see a number of sytlists doing their job creatively and with care. I see and hear people that are pleased with the outcomes. Great place and great stylists that care what you look like.

I have been getting my hair cut by Alanna for a number of years. She is terrific!

I went to Epoca with a very specific set of instructions and vision for the hairdresser I would be assigned to. Her name was Ashley. I told her that I wanted a simple pony tail with volume at the crown of my head. I was getting ready for my small wedding reception and I was going for something that was simple, fresh, not overdone but still looking polished. Ashley was very absent minded while I was giving her my instructions. She proceeded to do a bun. When she showed me, I told her again that I would really like a pony tail. She undid the bun and made a ponytail BUT started clipping the hair yet into another bun. When she showed me the back I told her that really I just wanted a ponytail. At which point she got annoyed. She did a ponytail that really looked like an unclipped bun. I was very sad and she really ruined half of what should be a memorable day for me. I really think her obsession with the bun was only to be able to charge me more. She did charge me a full updo fee of 84 dollars!! Outrageous for something that looked so unprofessional. I really regret paying the whole amount and not standing up for myself more. I will never go back there.

  i would never pay 80+ dollars for something that i did't want.. my goodness i can't believe that she wouldn't give you a swept up ponytail..you can always buy those things called "bumpit's" online and add a ponytail all on your own....

  My mom totally has those and they look amazing!! Takes her like 10 minutes to do her hair and it looks really nice! I recommend skipping the $80 ponytail jobs and doing it yourself with a $20 bumpit set...
