Bringing in 2012 at the Grand Victorian! WOW,was all we could say when arriving that night. The venue was immaculate and the ambiance was exquisite. The food was very enjoyable, starting with the appetizers followed by a delicious meal and complimented by a mouthwatering desert table, AND the service was impeccable!
The entertainment was great between the singer and the dj, no one could stay off the dance floor!

We also had the pleasure of staying in the whirlpool suite which was fit for a King and Queen!.....Ahhhhh speaking of king....the california king size(sleep number) bed!!!!! Need I say more?? We felt like royalty! It was a night to remember!

Wow! We had such a good time. The place was beautiful, bathrooms were clean and so was the diningroom/ballroom.
Table seating arrangements were comfortable and spacious. Hors d'oeuvres were a very nice start followed by a delicious dinner and midnight sweet table which was endless and just soo good! The music was wonderful and the live singer also was great. The dance floor was spacious and full of life! I could not have been at a better party for New years! I was meeting 2012 New Year at spectacular Grand Victorian Convention Centre with a group of people from work. This event exceeded my expectations in many areas. First of all, décor of Grand Victorian is superb and elegant. You need to see this place to feel the atmosphere which is important in celebrating special occasions. Service was outstanding and people exceptionally friendly. A desert table had variety of yummy sweet treats; bar was free and had wide range of alcoholic beverages. Great place. Great people. Great time. Thank you.

It was a last minute decision to spend the night at the Grand Victorian and I must say the whole event lived up to my expectations. The ballroom is very elegant, suitable for any occassion. The food was excellent and the sweet table presented just before midnight really suprised me with all the delicious choices there.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to hold any kind of event.

I am a Wedding/Event Planner and the grand victorian is my first preference to all my clients.The entrance and interior of the hall is so grand on it's own that you don't need to spend much on the decor inside.

Danny's calm demeanor helps you relax as he has everything under control. He's only a phone call away during your event. I must say that the grand victorian would not be the same without Danny and his team. I had lost my gold earing while dancing and his staff returned it to me the next day, I was devastated coz i thought i had lost it. Danny is the guy you need at any event.

I planned a wedding here just this past wknd and it was fabulous. The staff were easy to work with, the service was great, and the food was delicious.

It has been almost a year exactly since my husband and I had our reception at the Grand Victorian Convention Centre. Danny promised me on my first visit to the hall that he would help to make my dreams of being a bride come true, and he definitely delivered. The food was unbelievable- served piping hot and in perfect time. The sound system was absolutely state of the art and the lighting was indescribable. The entire evening was a princess' dream.
Here is one of my very favourite stories- I love sweets. Very much. And I was looking forward to the 11pm Sweet Table more so than my dinner! Unfortunately by the time I was able to get to the table, the servers were taking it down (it was about 1:30am at that point). I said to one of the ladies 'can I get a few of these in a to go container?' and she said 'oh, don't worry, that lady over there is already putting a couple of platters together for you and your husband. The platters will be in your room when you go upstairs.' That in itself made me feel like a Hollywood superstar. Not only did the Grand Victorian have all of the big details bang on, but they gave a great deal of attention to the small minute tiny details that really gives the experience a certain 'it' factor that cannot be found just anywhere. An incredible staff, an incredible leader (Danny) and an indescribable experience.

On October 15th my husband and I will celebrate our first year anniversary. Danny has arranged for us to stay in the same room that we stayed at on the night of our wedding and for us to have dinner and breakfast as well. What an incredible way to celebrate our one year anniversary and yet another example of the extreme and perfect detail that the Grand Victorian offers.

Danny Irani and his team in catering/sales and operations were outstanding. Everything we asked for was there for our holiday party. Any last minute changes (and there were a few) happened without drama. The venue is wonderful, the food was outstanding and the rooms are so elegant. We will keep coming back for as long as we can! We had our wedding at the Grand Victorian Convention Centre on Friday August 5, 2011 and all I can say is everything was a dream come true. Danny was amazing, he understood my vision and handled everything. The staff at the Grand Victorian are spectacular they made sure that all my guests were taken care of and that all their needs were met. I had guests tell me that they felt like they were walking into a ball and that they had never seen anything so beautiful.

From the venue to the dj, to the food and the service my wedding day was a dream come true.

This venue has everything you could ever want for a wedding. from getting married on the rooftop terrace to lobby for cocktails then the ballroom for your reception and hotel suites for your guests. Everything was at out fingertips.

Our wedding took place a month ago today (July 9th,2011) at The Grand Victorian. It was a large Portuguese celebration of about 330 people. Trying to find a venue to hold a large amount of people and worrying about problems that could be encountered was not the case at the Grand Victorian!

Danny was our coordinator and he definitely did a spectacular job! His true passion for organizing events and being both understanding and considerate to our familys and Portuguese culture, ensured that the day was to our expectation. Danny and his staff went over and beyond what we thought could have been capable and took the liberty to ensure all our guests were enjoying themselves and meet their individual needs if necessary (ie. wheelchair access, food allergy) Everything planned worked with such ease on the day, we didn't have to worry about anything at all!!

I Could not have pictured a better Reception for our wedding, the overall appearance was beautiful, the food and appetizers exceeded our expectation. Danny and the Radisson Hotel were very accomodating and the rooms were absolutely amazing! DJ Emporium also did a wonderful job creating an gorgeous atmosphere for all the guests to enjoy.

To date, guests and people who did not attend our reception still talk about our wedding and i can only thank the people that helped us along the way to make this day one of the most memorable of our lives! It was incredible and I couldn't have pictured anything better! Thank you so much! :) (I+J)

Every little girl envisions her wedding day as being a magical, spectacular and an unforgettable day. Our wedding reception at the Grand Victorian made this brides dream come true! The Grand Victorian first draws you in with its irresistible atmosphere with enchanting ceilings, amazing banquet halls and wonderful individuals greeting you.

Once the process started my husband and I dealt directly with Danny, the hotel co-coordinator. To say the very least he is an unforgettable individual. He treated us like family and was exceptionally accommodating. It became obvious that Danny has a true passion for this business and understands what the couple is undergoing and does everything possible to make it a perfect event.

Moving on to the food....amazing! I heard nothing but praises from the guests. Grand Victorian was able to provide me with a Canadian and Indian sit down dinner and it was effortless and fantastic. Service was great and there was so much attention from the staff the day off.

I highly recommend Grand Victorian for whatever event you may have. The service, food and atmosphere is one of a kind and Danny adds a little of spice in the equation.

Words cannot describe how grateful my husband and I are to Grand Victorian for making our day prefect.

The Grand Victorian Convention Centre is truly an incredible venue. My husband and I got married there last summer and selecting this particular venue was by far the best decision we made during our wedding planning.

The pictures do not do justice to it and one should definitely see it in person. When we first saw the hall, we were completely blown away by the elegance and glamour. The marble walls and beautiful foyer bring a uniqueness to it which we hadn't seen in any other banquet hall (and trust me, we saw many many halls). The Grand Victorian truly exceeded all of our expectations.

Danny, the coordinator, is a person we will never forget. He was with us every step of the way as we planned exactly what we wanted for our wedding. He was always available to discuss and address any concerns we had and often came up with some very creative ideas, which we could incorporate into our wedding. I can't even begin to describe how helpful Danny was on the day of our wedding. He even went out of his way to make arrangements for items other vendors left out minutes before festivities were about to begin. We didn't need to worry about anything because he was there the whole time making sure everything flowed smoothly, from the lineup during appetizers/dinner to monitoring the time and programmed events.

We had numerous guests tell us after our wedding what an incredible time they had. They would not stop raving about the food, the lighting, sound, décor of the hall, and just the overall appearance of the venue. It was like something they had never seen before. I truly recommend The Grand Victorian Convention Centre to anyone planning a wedding. I mean it when I say I have yet to find a venue that can come even close to this one. It's been 11 months since my husband and I got married at the Grand Victorian and we're trying to come up with reasons to have another party there! Thank you Grand Victorian and thank you Danny!

We just celebrated our wedding reception at the Grand Victorian on July 2 and it was spectacular and it definately exceeded our expectations! All our guests were "blown away" by how amazing the room looked and they all said they had never seen anything like it before. The room is beautiful to start with, and with the built-in lighting system and other decorations, it looked spectacular. The staff were very professional and very friendly to deal with. The food was delicious and the presentation on the sweet table was awesome! The entire operation is very professionally run and every detail was dealt with in advance by the management team which allowed us to enjoy our special day without any worries. It was an experience we will never forget and we will reccomend the Grand Victorian to everyone!

Besides the fact that I'm still hearing about how wonderful the food was at our wedding reception, and how beautiful the built in decor of the hall, our pictures were gorgeous because of all the different photo opportunities, the beauty of this hall puts it in a league of it's own. No other hall I've ever been to can compare. And the service! All staff and managers are so friendly and accommodating. This hall will always be a happy and major part to our special day, and we will be having all our future parties here... and we will be staying at the beautiful and elegant Victorian inspired rooms at the Radisson for any functions in the west end of the city. The sound system and lighting effects were the best I've ever experienced. The Grand Victorian is your choice if your looking for your guests to be treated to an evening of royalty.

I had the pleasure of having my wedding reception at the Grand Victorian Convention Centre on May 14, 2011. From the moment we walked into the reception hall in the fall, I knew it was the place I had to have my reception - the venue is absolutely breathtaking! In addition, it has a one of a kind lighting and video system. However, it takes more than a beautiful reception hall to create a perfect wedding and my family and I can't thank Danny enough for his outstanding service in making my dream wedding come true. From the first day that we met Danny, he was a pleasure to work with - he always told us that we had nothing to worry about and he was absolutely right. Every detail that I had hoped for and more in the reception was covered and we couldn't have been more pleased. On the night of the reception, Danny and his wonderful team, including Seema, ensured that everything went without a hitch. The food was outstanding as well and Danny did not hesitate to provide special meals for those guests with dietary restrictions. I couldn't have been happier with my experience and I highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or special occasion! Not only do you get a beautiful hall but you also receive outstanding service. These guys are the worst possible. They ruined what was supposed to be the greatest day of my life!

You pay the entire amount upfront so that when they screw you up you have nothing to fall back on.

The big day went without a hitch thanks to the staff at the Gramd Victorian. They were very accomidating and well organized. Many thanks to Danny and the rest of the staff.

Was there for a wedding this weekend and worst FOOD EVER!!!

venue is nice however the service could not have been worse.

Fish bones found in the chicken (there was no fish served at all? where did this fish bone come from????)
they Res-used the Yellow Rice from dinner with the seafood rice to serve at the midnight buffet

After speaking with the bridal party I found out that the dinner was supposed to be a 3 course meal with fish and the hall had messed up. Worse was apparently they paid a small fortune UPFRONT before the wedding.

EVERYONE was talking about how bad the food was it ruined the entire wedding!

My fiancee and I just booked our wedding at the grand victorian for January 2012. I've been in contact with Danny for the last 3 months and although it takes some time to reach him by phone, he is very receptive to your needs. We didn't receive any resistance from him when we asked him for something we wanted at our wedding.
The venue is beautiful and he's working with us to make our European style wedding the way we are envisioning it. I am hopeful things are going to turn out.

I am looking into booking my wedding next year and this was one of the venues that I was very interested in. The sales guy danny (danesh) is already giving me bad vibes and my fiance and I are nervous about booking it here mainly because they are horrible at getting back to us and don't reply to emails or call us back. Imagine after they have our business. He seems like a shady car salesman and unlike everywhere else did not provide anything in writing. I don't think this will be our venue. Its too bad because it is beautiful.

I recently held an engagement here and would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone!!
All my guests loved the hall and I got many compliments on the elegance. I had more than a few guests come up to me and tell me how much they were impressed with the hall and its huge chandeliers and the lighting. The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. For such a busy night, the staff was incredible and were very accommodating to our requests and helped us with the little glitches that come up with any big event. Danny, the catering director, did an amazing job with helping us and making our day run smoothly. The hotel even helped us by helping us reserve rooms for our out-of-town guests (side note: the rooms are the best I've ever seen...private seating areas and fireplaces are beyond any of our guests' expectations for a standard room here). I can't begin to thank the staff for all their help and the service was above and beyond. I would definitely hold another event here and would recommend this place to anyone because the service was amazing and Danny really helped us deliver an incredible night!

Wonderful experience

We had our wedding on Sunday 10/10/2010 at the Grand Victorian Convention Center and it was a night of a life time. All of our guests enjoyed their night. The food was extraordinary and delicious. The antipasto bar was very nicely decorated in the middle of the hall. The main course dinner was so tasty. In the middle of the night we had the sweet table and it was very well organized with a very nice ice sculpture in the middle. The lighting in the hall was eye-catching with the rest of the decor. Everything was very well organized through the whole night from the beginning to the end. Danny made our dream come true and he did all his promises and even more.

Danny became one of family members and I used to call him all the time and tell him about what we want and he always used to tell us it will be fine and do not worry, it will be the best wedding. To be honest, yes it was the best night ever. Danny did his best to make our day and he did everything we asked for. He always used to give us his advice on what is the best to do in order to make the best wedding. We will not forget this day all our life.

We really recommend this hall if you are planning your wedding day to be the best memorable day in your life. Danny you are the best and thank you for everything you did for us. You made our wedding day the greatest day of our life.
