AMAZING! November 18, 2011

This is an amazing restaurant! They have a wide variety of choices of food and it is always very fresh! It's delicious and I have never had a bad meal! I absolutely love the homemade macaroni and cheese! It's fantastic! Every day, they have different selections! And I love it! You can choose to take out food or to eat it there! Eating it there is very nice and they have a few stairs that lead up to a nice sitting area where it is not too crowded. On the main floor is where everyone gets their food and so it could be a little too crowded to eat there. The service is amazing and everyone there is very sweet! The workers love every single customer and they get to know everyone that comes in. I come into Hannah's Kitchen all the time and the workers all know who I am and they make friendly conversation with me whenever I go in. The orange juice is also really fantastic! It is made by Black River and it is the best orange juice in the world! Hannah's Kitchen used to be open on Saturdays and they had things like sausages, french toast, wraps and scrambled eggs! I used to ask them to make me a wrap with scrambled eggs in it with strawberries on the side! That isn't on the menu, but they made it for me anyway because they are extremely nice! Unfortunately, they had to close on Saturdays, but I hope so much that they will open again! Hannah's Kitchen is a fantastic restaurant and I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

EXCELLENT!!! September 13, 2011

Hannah's Kitchen is a great catering company I never heard of until a friend of mine told me about it. From the moment I was in contact with them it was a pleasure. They listened to our requests and special instructions and went above and beyond to make my daughters birthday party a huge success. I would highly recommend using Hannah's Kitchen as a professional caterer for any time of event.

I have been a regular customer of Hannah's for over a decade (I work close by) -- and for a good reason. This tiny, unassuming place has great food (and is it possible?) even greater service.

You can enjoy your own custom-prepared sandwich (they have a wide variety of selections), a variety of delicious salads, or their daily hot specials (check on their website for a two-week preview!). I particularly like the daily specials (and surprises) -- they have a very interesting and varied menu. Their soups are absolutely awesome.

If your taste veers towards the cheap over-salted and -sugared prepared frozen foods, this is not for you -- Hannah's hot meals and salads allow you to taste and enjoy the actual ingredients. Check it out -- and when you do, don't forget to try their exotic soups.

Tip: they get pretty busy around lunch time, so get there early if you can.

So good! Fresh and scrumptious. Busy during the lunch hour but if you've got the time, it's worth the wait.

I love coming to Hannah's Kitchen. The staff is very friendly and the food is really good, it's all home made and you know that it's good quality stuff, always fresh. I love the amazing salads they have, and the soups! Very vegetarian friendly, which is extremely important. The only thing is that I find it a little pricey. I would definitely go more often if they lowered their prices.

Hannah’s Kitchen serves extremely fresh, tasty and homemade food, with two excellent soups daily – one is always vegetarian, sometimes both. They serve a great selection of 15 salads too – mostly vegetarian. The staff tries hard to please and they do a good job of it. Cafeteria style and fast! Eat in or Take out. They also cater in the GTA.

When I was in high school and later university, I used to sit in the cafeteria and watch the other kids open up their lunch bags. From theirs came great looking sandwiches of avocado and tomato on whole wheat, sliced chicken with dijon mustard on rye, or tuna and lettuce on an onion bun. Not from mine. For 10 years my mother gave me two chopped egg sandwiches on Wonder bread, every day! One whiff of my locker and it was obvious. Upon graduation, I vowed I’d never look at another egg sandwich. Guess what? I broke my vow recently and renewed my relationship with chopped egg and mayonnaise, this time on multigrain bread and I found the best sandwich of all at Hannah’s Kitchen (2221 Yonge Street).

Before all else, and pre-empting indignant letters, we acknowledge that nobody makes butter tarts like the ones you had at Grandma’s. That said, it’s remarkable how many unassuming places bake their own and how so few do bad ones. The stickiest, yummiest butter tarts come from Hannah’s Kitchen (2221 Yonge St., 416-481-2828). The top third is a chewy caramel layer that’ll loosen dental work. A bare touch of runny sweetness fills the center and the base is a buttery pastry that beats anything else in town. Still not sold? Two words might help convince some of you: no raisins!
