I have been familiar with Helen's bridal for several years now. I have purchased several evening gown dresses, a prom dress, and just recently I have purchased a wedding dress. Never have I ever been able to get such great customer service as I have at Helen's Bridal. As soon as you start to associate with the employees, you can notice their experience. I came in there having absolutely no idea what type of dress I was looking for. One of the girl's simply looked at my figure and guided me to a dress in the store. When I first saw it on the hanger I thought to myself "is this what I'm looking for? Is it me?" So I tried it on and it ended up being the dress I left the store with. I was shocked at how different a dress looks on the hanger than on a person; and not only that, I was shocked at the experience that the woman had that she knew right away which dress is right for me and which one isn't without me even having to try it on. I didn't have to waste my time trying on dresses that were never going to look good on me as much as they may look good on someone else! Most importantly, as a client at Helen's Bridal, the employees don't just want to make a sale, they want to make the bride-to-be feel like the most beautiful person in the world in that "one" dress. I wouldn't recommend any other place.

After the WORST experience at HILLTOP I was fortunate to have the pleasure of the therapeutic and reassuring service at Helen’s bridal… With their empathic customer service I would recommend this establishment to everyone looking for quality in product and experience as a whole. I would like to thank the ladies at Helen’s for their smiles, tissue and re-assurance that everything will work out.

As a plus size woman I have been having a hard time finding dresses to try on in my size. I went into Helens Bridal because I was told that they might be able to help me...and help me they did!! they had a huge selection of dresses in plus sizes and I was able to see how they would actually fit me rather than trying to squeeze into a small size and "use my imagination" as I was told to do everywhere else I visited. Not only that but the girls who work there were wonderful to work with , making the experience fun and enjoyable rather than scary!! Thank you Helens Bridal!!

I purchased a wedding dress for my step daughter in May of 2008. Since I live in BC I provided my credit card number to them. On June 18 of this year 2010 I noticed a charge of 275.56 on my credit card from Helen's Bridal. I contacted them assuming that this was a mistake. I was told by the woman there that the bridal party owed them money and they were unable to contact them so they charged my credit card because that was all they had on file. I demanded they refund my money immediately and I have not seen a refund as of yet. My credit card company will definately dispute this and rule in my favour. I am in shock that a business would operate in this manner. This is fraudulant and I will be pressing charges.

Many of my friends and co-workers had suggested that I go to Helens because they had been there and said the selection was great. So frustrated and tired of shopping I decided to go to one last shop and see what I could find. As soon as I walked into Helens I knew I would find my dress there. I was greeted so warmly and Helen was so lovely to deal with...she knows her product so well and she put me in dresses that I would never have picked for myself!!! We have a bridal store in Barrie and we are relatively new in the bridal business. Two years ago my son was getting married and without me knowing it she went to Helen,s. She is a very shy girl and she spoke very highly of the treatment she received there. She told Helen who she was and they went ahead and got her into the most beautiful dress that required no alterations and made her feel very special. Now that I have my own bridal shop, if Helen does not have what they are looking for, she sends them to me. Most people in this business are very competitive but Helen realizes that we need to keep our customers happy and referring them to a store that may have what they are looking for is just good business practice. Thank you Helen for being a savvy business person.

I want to start off by saying that I had the best experience at Helen's Bridal! I had gone to almost every bridal shop from Barrie to Toronto in search of my dream dress. The ONLY bridal shop that made me feel comfortable was Helen's Bridal. I found in almost every other place I went into I was ignored, told that they didn't carry my size, or the consultants wouldn't even bother to do the dresses up. At one shop (I'm not saying who) they tried to pressure me into buying the first dress that fit even though it looked awful on me and wasn't anying I wanted. I went into Helen's thinking very bad about my body image and realy didn't think that I was ever going to find a dress... Wow! I was wrong! When I was in the store both Helen and Laura were there and helped me. Both of these ladies know there stuff! After we talked about what kind of wedding I am having, price and so on the ladies went to work. Both Helen and Laura had some ideas for me to try on but also encouraged me to pick some I liked. I chose a dress that I loved on the hanger and into the fitting room I went. I came out and oh boy that dress was not for me! The ladies explained why that dress (and others with the same cut) were not going to work for me and then I tried on the dresses they choose. All of them looked good and I fell in love with one of them. The whole process with Helen and Laura was a lot of fun! We joked around, Helen gave me a new hair-do so I could see my dress with a veil and at the end of my time in the shop I felt like I made two new friends. If they thought a dress wasn't perfect for me they were honest but always asked me what I thought first. Laura said it best to me... It doesn't matter what dress I choose, they just want me to love it! It was so great to work with these woman who just want every bride to be happy. I am going to recommend Helen's Bridal to everyone I know!

I once went into this store to try on a wedding dress. I only give this palce half a star b/c I walked in and the owner said Hi how are you and what are you looking for today? Stated I was getting married and was just starting my looking. She helped pick me out something and then to the dressing room I went. I tried on 3 dresses. Beautiful! but when I tried to get the last one off, the strings hanging from the zipper got stuck. She scowled at me and told me "girls of your size need not try on dresses like this" I am not a big girl. I wear reg. clothes and you my dear have poor alteration skills. Mind you, she was even a tad larger than I was.
If you are even the slightest bit self conscious.... Stay away from the lady with the bad accent.
