We purchased a home from Homes by DeSantis and what was supposed to be a enjoyable experience turned into a nightmare situation with more headaches than worth. We had nothing but trouble with them from the get go, despite many negative reviews and a strongly negative nod from our lawyer we still went ahead and purchased a home with them that we payed more than $450.000. We put in many upgrades in the home that WE paid for, none of those upgrades are given to you for free except the initial $5000 in decor dollars which we spent on upgrading our stairs and banister and even that was not enough money we still had to fork over some of our own money as well. Everyone thinks that they are doing you a favour by building you that home and putting in the upgrades for you that again WE paid for. Very unfriendly staff at the head office and the building site&construction staff, the only pleasant person to deal with was the sales person who of course will say and smile through anything as long as you buy a home and they will tell and promise you anything as long as you purchase the home. Boy I could write a book about all the unpleasant things about DeSantis but thank god we took care of our problem, we decided to sell the home and purchase our new home with Landmart. So be aware and think twice before you purchase a home from DeSantis.

Wow, cant beleive that, this company is over 50 years old and has great leadership. They have a the top group of employees, awesome trades and great service. I highly recommend them!!!!

Desantis promised (signed a contract)to build a Mattomy design(sales rep suggested that since we wanted a split design) for us.The sales rep (Carla) said that all that was needed was superficial modifacations to the outside design but that it was a minor issue and nothing to worry about and we would be getting a new design to approve .No new design arrived and have been given numerous reasons from permits to the mattomy house is to high but it seems that the price we got was too low for them to make enough money(no facts to base that on).Gab Desantis agreed on a price and said that the design was something he had built before so it was not an issue.
We have been told by the sales rep that she has no answers for us other then it is now in the hands of lawyers because Desantis will not build the house that he agreed to build.
We never cared how the outside of the house looked.
