I stopped in today on the off-chance of getting a quote on some fender-bender damage. Extremely polite and efficient. As a young female, I always feel there is the chance that auto places try to pull the wool over my eyes but I didn't get that impression here at all. They explained the damage and quoted me straight away, spoke to my insurance company for me and fixed it quickly. All done with a smile and a very helpful attitude. I am very grateful for the great service - Horton have definitely got a repeat customer out of me.
I was in a slight fender bender. I left the other vehicle my name and phone number attached to their windshield. They took their car to Horton Auto Body. Rather than put in an insurance claim I told them I would pay cash as per Horton's estimate. After doing the repairs I got a call from Horton's saying there was extra damages that they did not see after the initial estimate. One of the managers at Horton's called and said if I do not get down there and pay the extra he would call the insurance company and get a claim filed. I went in the next morning to pay the extra. The manager was rude, yelled and berated me, refused to show me the broken part and was very disrespectful. I would not recommend Horton's to anybody.
I've used this business for the 10 years I've lived in Calgary (three times) and they are always spot on with service and performance. No complaints... I'd give them a full 5 stars if they also washed my car (as my Vancouver body shop used to do, without being asked).
The only hassle is that they are so good, and so popular, it can be hard to get an appointment; sometimes you have to book 6 weeks in advance.
I completely recommend them.
