I found out this bakery at the Canada's Bridal Show. They had a good promotion for the selected wedding cake displayed for $399 including delivery and setup. Most of the cakes displayed had at least 3 tiers. It was quite chaotic to even get the deposit.

Two weeks after the purchase, my parents and I went to the store to taste the cake. It was another chaos at the store. There were so many people, we had to wait for 30 minutes before we were being served. The sale person of course asked if I want to "upgrade" my wedding cake to some other cakes they have. Once I said "no, I like the one I chose", her face turned black and disappeared. Another staff gave us cake to try and I had to hunt that lady (initially greet us) to place the details about my cake.

After the tasting, I tried to call them several times to make an appointment to pay for the cake. There was no answer and no return call even if I left several messages. Finally I got a hold of a person after Christmas (less than 1 month prior to my wedding), he said the store was under renovation. Well, that info should be clearly stated on the answering machine. When I asked to have the cake delivered at certain time to coordinate time with the venue. NOPE, the person on the other side of the phone said, well we'll delivery from 12-4pm and that cannot be changed regardless.

The taste of the cake is not too bad, at least it was moist enough for the bottom part served. The price was good compare to other bakery. Service, well don't expect them have excellent service. It's hard to get a hold of them and they are not following through with their service.

In the past I ordered 4 cakes per year from Irresistable but NO LONGER. I ordered my daughter's communion cake and was REALLY disappointed. I ordered a custom cake and it was TOTALLY WRONG. When I called in to let the baker know it was incorrect he was rude and basically told me he did not CARE!
I am disguisted with the lack of customer service.

I too have ordered cakes from here for many special occasions.. Bridal Shower, Wedding, Baby Shower then for my son's baptism (all within a 2 year period). We've gotten to know Frankie pretty well, besides the fact they service the hall we were using for the baptism. I ordered a strawberry sfoglia and it was horrible! it was so dry I could barely cut it with the knife. Even the next day when you'd think the layers have a chance to get really soft with the fruit and filling - it was so dry I had to throw it out.
When I called Frankie to discuss he got very defensive and told me it was impossible. I know what I tasted and finally he told me "well we screwed up" and hung up the phone on me.
I am NEVER using this bakery again, don't think you can treat people like that and I will come back with my hard earned money.
There are many other cake shops in Woodbridge that not only taste better but know how to treat customers right.
Keep up the attitude boys, it's not like you have good products to back you anymore!

I've been a long time customer of Irresistable Cakes and although they've made small mistakes over the years, I've forgiven them. We recently had a special occasion for which they made a cake and it didn't turn out the way it should have. When I called them to advise them they were very defensive and agreed to do absolutely NOTHING for me. They have lost my business and I will make sure all my friends and family are aware of the nonsense I've endured. They are far from professional. These people do not deserve to be in business! DO NOT GET CAKES HERE; YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!

I am so dissapointed that I went with Irresistible cakes for my wedding cake. The cake we recieved was terrible, it was lumpy, the tiers were too big and you could not cut slices from it. the cake was only one flavour when it was supposed to be three. The 'flower' on top was not what we asked for, even after giving them two colour swatches we only had one colour used for the flower, when was the green we wanted for the flower's leaves.
when I attempted to get answeres from the bakery it took a month and a half to get them to call me back. Frankie sr. argued with me that i should have called their emergency number for a replacement cake. their emergency number is until 6pm, at 6pm we were exchanging vows, I did not see my cake until 7. that man will say anything to avoid taking responsiblity for his shotty workmanship. he escalated the conversation until we were both yelling and then called me an animal and hung up on me.

NEVER use these people! I wish i had read reviews before using them but I used them on the recomondation of my Hall. The hall is now going to remove them from their preferred vendors list.

I hope at least one person changes their mind about using Irresistable Cakes because of my review. It might make my experience worth it if i can help save another bride from this nightmare.

I used them last year for my wedding. They were the most reasonably priced cake at that time. I called many places and I don't know what they were smoking quoting me those prices. No cake is worth 700 dollars and up for a small 3 layer. Icakes fit with in my budget and they customized it the way I wanted with no extra charge (small change).

The worker brought the cake on time and set it up. They seemed to be very professional. The cake tasted great. I got alot of good reviews from the guests.

I am not sure about the lower ratings. But it was the best price i found.

I was not happy at all with I-Cakes for two reasons. First, the wedding cake did not look like the one on the picture we gave them when we ordered. It was very plain, uneven, and started falling apart during the reception. The taste was OK the first day but it turned bad the next.
Second, we called (several times as it's very hard to get someone from their CS to answer the phone) to complain and the person who answered asked us to send an e-mail with all the details and pictures of the cake (which our guests had taken... they too noticed the poor quality of the cake). He said he will get back to us. To this day, we haven't heard from them despite other e-mails and (unsuccessful) phone calls that followed.
I was hesitant at first to write a negative review about this business, but after I read others' commments and after having been dealt with in a very unprofessional manner, I think future customers need to know what they could go through.



P.S. People who say they make beautiful cakes, have not seen any better. Just look around, even at the local bakery they will surprise you with wonderful cakes that do not cost as much as the one we ordered for our wedding.

My husband and I have ordered cakes for over 16 years since we got married in 1994. There has been many different designs, flavours and creativity since we've ordered. In June of 2009,I ordered both confirmation and communion cake combined and let me tell you, the bible book with fondant icing, caffe latte vanilla cake was "superb". People have to be precise in what they anticipate prior to ordering because you will see the end results. I have recommended this place for over 10 years to friends and they will continue ordering from this place. Your doing an amazing job, keep up the good work!

We got our wedding cake Irresistible and everybody was so impressed with it. They did a truly fantastic job. The cake even got a bit damaged by one of the wait staff and they came and fixed it for us right away. Me and my wife were really impressed with the service. I wouldn't reccomend anyone else for you wedding cake.

  maybe you should put the picture back up if you loved their work so much. my experience was very different and I don't believe they know how to make good looking cakes. even my vendor hall says they get complaints about them.

OK - so don't expect a hug or to be pampered, and make sure you are 100% clear when you order (I asked for edible flowers and got 2-dimensional cookie-cutter style, instead of the 3-d I was expecting- but I decided I wasn't clear when I made the request - I just assumed). BUT....this was a small birthday cake, very reasonably priced, called at 7:30 a.m. for cake that evening - got to choose from multiple types and flavours. Final result was a round white cake with a raspberry cream filling and white fondant icing - a huge hit. Will be back for more - lots of anniversaries and 50th birthdays coming up.

I ordered a custom cake. I even provided a picture. When I got the hall I noticed the design of my wedding cake was wrong. When I called the owner, Mauricio his answer was that I was lucky I did't get brushed off when I ordered my cake. The owner is rude, ignorant and full of himself. He didn't even apoligize for providing the wrong design of my wedding cake. Horrible customer service!! I wouldn't even reccomend this company to my worst enemy!! BEWARE you get what they want not what you want!

I called asking for a price range and to get an understanding of what to expect for wedding cakes.
The guy was SO RUDE on the phone - he was evasive and short with his answers. He wouldn't tell me how the cakes are made or what determines the cost. When i asked how I would know if a cake was expensive, he said I wouldn't be able to tell

I have never written a negative review on someone - but after getting off the phone with him I had to.

This is a business which is clearly not concerned with customer care or professionalism.
