I ran into this business as i was looking online for ecommerce software and seen their free ecommerce website software promotion. I contacted them about the offer and received everything i was promised as a free feature. They have also helped me improve my current web design with some ideas they offered me. I visited their location and hand a face to face business meeting with Dave that explained
to me how everything is going to work. He also explained to me how Google works and that they offer Search Engine Optimization. Since our first call i have been doing great business with the Jatech company and would refer it to anyone.

I stumbled upon this review and I don't believe it. Is this confirmed information or is it just an ex-employee trying to cause trouble? Why is the identity of the person making the claim hidden. If that is the case then I guess anyone can say any thing about anyone and there's nothing you can do about it. What happens if someone says something about you?

I have been working at Jatech for over 6 months and over this time period I have received all my pay to date and in full. I have also completed over 25 website projects and all the work we have been contracted has been completed according to specifications and on schedule. If the client raises any issues with their website, we see to it that it is resolved quickly. All of my co-workers can also attest to the same.

  I was shocked to see this as I have dealt with this company for several web sites and no problems. In fact they actually fixed a problem on a website that another company couldn't fix even though they built it. But Jatech fixed it. Anyway I called the numbers in this comment and no one there placed this comment. They said it is false.

I did not know what I was getting into with JSI Web and JSI Hosting, but they did not deliver as promised and I am out a substantial sum of money. It is very hard to take this man to court, as the directors of the company on the companies prospectus are phoney names and there are a large number of lawsuits pending. All I can do is come online and warn others not to use this company. I have no idea how JSI Corp goes on operating. I know they operate under many online names, JSI Web, JSI Cart, JSI Hosting and Jatech web design to name just a few. A lot of people must be being scammed by Dave Conrad and JSI Web, JSI Hosting and his affiliate companies. I have read employees and consumer reports all complaining that Mr. Conrad has duped them out of money. Its a sick world we live in when this man continues to operate with impunity. This is also a warning to anyone requiring Web development services, web hosting, SEO services or website design. Jatech, JSI web tools and Cheap Web Hosting Canada are all rip offs! When I worked for Jatech it was a constant battle between the owner, Dave Conrad and his customers who were never happy with any of the services he provided. Several were forced to take legal action against Jatech.

When I was reviewing Jatech's websites before my interview at www.jsiwebtools.com and www.jatech.ca, the only question I could think to myself was - "If this is a web development company, why are these websites so poorly designed and created with such dated software"

Please don't be fooled by the seemingly lower prices for website design at Jatech. You will not get what you pay for, that is if you get anything at all.

More red flags went up when I met the owner of Jatech, Dave Conrad, who hired me without asking me any questions and stated he was "bad at hiring people" and didn't feel it necessary to ask anything.

Two and a half weeks after working at Jatech, it was finally payday ( or so I thought). While other employees were getting their cheques, I was informed that there was a two week delay on new employees cheques and I would not be paid until the following paycheques were issued (two weeks later).

It had been 1 month since I started at Jatech and it was finally my first pay day. Again. I was issued a cheque for my first two weeks of pay, but told not to cash it right away because Jatech had just received payment for a large website we were working on. (more red flags). When the cheque finally gets deposited and comes back NSF, I had been working at Jatech for 5 weeks.

I was furious but the boss immediately issued another cheque and assured me it will go through if I wait until next week. It feels like I have no choice, so I continue to work, but of course the new cheque doesn't go through either. I quit immediately and tell Dave that Jatech can deal with the labour board.

Being a web development company, the Jatech and the said businesses have the ability to take on many identities, It should be noted that this made it very difficult to file an employment claim against Jatech. Evidently my employer Dave Conrad knew this and has been running this scam for quite some time.

I found out the business is listed with the company name 601088 Ontario Inc. However it I will likely never receive payment for my 6 weeks working for Dave Conrad and his scam company Jatech.

I did confront you about this matter, numerous times and the fact that it didn't help was why I decided to comment when I saw your company on this website. I don't think competitors have time to waste putting bad reviews about your site on a site that not really popular (n49.ca), even I don't, I was angry about the whole situation and I came across this so decided why not do it. Just want to save others the trouble of dealing with you, you could say whatever you like about checks and balances and what-not but in the end more people will come to realize what a fraud you are, hopefully it's before losing their money to scum like you.
  
  Don't get me wrong people, his programmer and graphic designers are really talented, that's what he uses as a really good bait, too bad he's the one that's scum. If you think losing way more money than you bargained for is worth it then by all means go ahead. Just remember this review and comment on it after the fact.

My review is from an employee's point of view. I worked for Jatech/JSI Corp ran by Ken Conrad aka David Conrad. I worked there for about 5 to 6 months and must say that i'm surprised he's still in business. I've seen him lie to and cheat clients, when things go wrong he would bark at employees instead of bad management skills. What really made me leave the company though is the 2-4 NSF paychecks i got for the time I was there. Upon submitting a complaint to the Ministry of Labor i got a reply from them months after only to learn that I'm in a line of a long list of other complaints.

I used Jatech to make my web site and to market it on the search engines. The went a week over the quoted time it would take but they did some extra functionality for no charge so that is cool. We are number one for almost all of our keywords and that is great. I tried Google Ad words before and that was too expensive. Jatech is doing the SEO now and the results are much better and it is less expensive.

I have had a web site www.pagesnpages.com completed by Jatech.ca and boy was this experience so much better than the two previous developers I dealt with. They not only did what I asked but also gave me a lot of great ideas. This was a fairly low budget web site about $2000. It it working well so now I am almost finished with my second project with Jatech and this one is a $15,000 site and it is on time and works great - we should launch it in a week or so. Great job Jatech.

  I know this is a fake review. I talked to the owner of this website and he said he got ripped off so I think we can assume he isn't happy with his site at all and did not write this review. When I told him about this review existing he seemed VERY surprised.

In wb development, there sometimes is a creep problem - I mean that the client keeps asking for more and more work and doesn't want to pay a fair price. Of course the web developers should work for free once a payment has been made - the can add specifications & requirements and the price should stay the same.

Also, DC Data never had a contract with George Jobel and never will. His contract was with a previuos owner.

I am George Jobel, a web designer in Concord NH. We contracted David Conrad and Jatech.ca to complete a somewhat sophisticated database for an official city web site. They quoted us, accepted our deposit, never signing the contract. They later indicated the site was misquoted, several times asked for more money (occasionally appropriately for added features) and have not yet satisfied the client, even though it is now April, 2008 and the site was guaranteed to be completed by September 1, 2006. During that period of time several of their phone numbers have become inactive, the phone number I have routinely use is not answered, and I typically reach an 'unidentified' voice mail box that is generally full.

I have tried email, voice mail and nothing seems to prompt a response. If anyone is out there who can help me connect to David Conrad or JaTech.ca, please call me at 603.369.1471. Thank you.
