We have taken our dogs, Willie, Benny, Winston, and Charlie to Juanita's Doggy Den for many years, and we have been extremely pleased with the service we have received. It is a wonderful place for dogs to play, be groomed, and learn to get along with other dogs. We know many other happy dog owners who have received great service there.
I have heard rumors that Juanita's Doggy Den is thinking of moving because of complaints about the noise of barking dogs from neighbors. We sincerely hope that doesn't happen, because the business has been in the present location for many years, and there have not been complaints about the noise. What is different now? The difference is that infill housing development has been taking place, and there are now many residences built in a formerly vacant area rather close to Juanita's Doggy Den.
But you might ask: Who was there first? Certainly not the owners of new houses close to the business location. This episode reminds me of what sometimes happens near airports. Developers come in and build a lot of new houses close to an airport and a lot of people move into the area. And then people begin to complain about the noise of planes flying overhead! Who was there first? If the developers threatened to sue the airport authority because of the noise, they wouldn't get very far!
I hope that Juanita's Doggy Den will stay put! Maybe nowadays with the 99% learning how to fight back against the 1% there is a way it can happen!
