I used to work at this coffee shop, and although I left on what some may call..."bad terms"...I still maintain they brew the meanest coffee in the city. They even have great organic coffee for all you naturalists out there.
They're also a super popular lunch destination for the Queen West professional crowd...from what I remember, the line-ups used to make it around the cafe and out the door. I strongly recommend the grilled chicken club sandwich. But at 8 bucks a pop for a sandwich smaller than a Subway six-inch, they seem a little extravagant.
Oh and try the chocolate chip cookies. They're massive and baked fresh almost every hour. We used to have people travel across the city just to get one.
PROS:
amazing coffee, great gourmet sandwiches and baked goods
CONS:
price, management
Do they have fair trade?
THATS what its called! i knew it was organic but i forgot the terminology they used.
in case its not clear yet, yes they do have fair trade.
do they have fair trade AND organic coffee? now im just being a pain. dont get stuck in any more spiderwebs :)
there's a difference between fair trade and organic? geez. clearly this is not my domain.
im pretty sure it was just called fair trade, which i thought was organic. WHY DONT YOU JUST GO CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF, HUH?!?!
well as someone who is an authority on the "Best Coffee In The City" you should prob know the difference between the two. geesh!
