LYONS IS AWFUL February 9, 2012

I had such a terrible time dealing with these people. John Lyons is a crook and lied through his teeth numerous times. He is out to milk the insurance companies for all they're worth. I needed a new bumper, it took 9 weeks. Unbelievable.

Do not trust LYONS Towing drivers. they are saying the opposite of what is in the shop. Stay away from this place if you have an acident go to your mecanic sho and continue from there.

LYONS will make your life miresable. you can not get out without problem. Do not trust the certificats on their loby ...bad bad customer service.

I agree with comment above I do not know how this place still running up.

I had an accident a few weeks back and my car was towed to this shop afterwards. I agreed to have it towed there because the driver stated (correctly) that they are a State Farm Insurance approved shop. They provided a rental, I signed some papers, and went off to work. I later did a bit of research online and stumbled upon bad reviews here and at another site.. it left me uneasy and I wanted to get my car out of there. By this point Lyons had already taken the car apart to inspect the damage and they were hesitant to let it out of their shop, stating that I had signed an authorization for them to asses the damage- which was true.

After some back and forth with their shop and my insurance agent I decided to let it go and have them conduct the repairs. The SUV needed both driver side doors fixed (replaced), the front fender repaired, and the front left suspension repaired. They took about 2 weeks to do the work and the finished product was immaculate. They cleaned the car inside and out, and the body and paint work was great. The suspension seems to have been fixed properly also as the car drives the same way it did before I got hit. They also called me along the way to see if I wanted to come inspect the work before paint.

I was apprehensive because of the bad reviews, but they did a great job. Something to keep in mind is that thye're a very busy shop, and while there are always bound to be some bad customer experiences (as with any business) it's beneficial to keep in mind that most folks won't bother to write a good review, but bad reviews will always get posted.

Their tow truck driver found me after an accident and brought my car to the body shop. Gave me a rental car and after seeing I was hesitant on leaving my car there, told me that I can decide what I want to do with my car tomorrow. Brought back the rental the next morning, and they charged an administration fee of $375 for not leaving my car with them.

Insist on taking your car to anther body shop, or your own driveway.

Avoid at all costs

THE OWNER JOHN LYON'S IS A SCAM ARTIST AND A LIAR! Customer service is terrible and never returns calls on time. Owner is the biggest scammer in the world and he charge insurance companies tons of money for smallest problem. This place should be investigated immediately!

stay away from this comapny, they will low ball to get your business, they offer to pay deductable but dont, poor workmanship, poor customer service.. run as fast as you can, dont be fooled by these crooks

MY LIFE April 16, 2011

I was in an antecedent this past wed. where the person ran the red light and hit my CRV and flipped it. I don't care what anyone says about Lyons, the man that helped me was the best. The cops were going to leave me in the car hanging upside down and he made them take me out be for the paramedics got to the seen. I was upside down in the car and I don't know for how long. He got me to come out of the car when the cops were not. I was told he helped my mom find me and after took care of my belongings. The next day when we went to get pics of the car he was there and helped us get all the things from it and took care of everything. He found the rest of my cell with does not work anymore and all of my business things. He was the best person there and I believe that he saved me. Thank you so much!

The "SE" symbols on my 2002 Saab93 are missing, the security latch to open the hood is missing, the horn doesn't work. I was also told by Saab Repair shop that the bumper is from a late model Saab. Taking it in tommorow to see what they can do for me. So Far its been nothing but bad service. But will be back to see what they have to say about this.

HORRIBLY RUDE March 10, 2011

The top bosses here are very rude. They didnt fix my car first time around, after following up with my insurance company (TD) for more than 1 month, I finally get a confirmation that i can go to have the issue fixed. Once I reach there they tell me that the part they ordered was wrong & that I have to come back again later. Obviously I get livid as I had to take time off work & now they are asking me to come back on a weekend. The boss/manager at the time said yes they made a mistake so he can’t do anything about it & that I need to come back later. He was oblivious to the fact that I have just 1 day off in the week & I have taken time off (no pay) from work. He gave me weird examples like his $80K Yukon broke down so who is to blame for that etc etc, so now I had to bear all this because he was having problems in his life/car. All along I think the boss/manager thought he was doing me a favour by having my car fixed. I think these guys in the business for too long now & they still have the dinosaur age thinking that they are above the customers they serve. I think banks should stop giving them business only then will they go & teach themselves about customer service. How interesting is the fact that none of the reviews here are positive except the ones they have posted for themselves. Need I say more? Oh, did I mention that the cartridge of my 6 CD-changer went missing when it was being fixed by them?

TRULY CORRUPTED February 2, 2011

I trusted them, and now I am suffering a horrible experience. I feel sorry for them since they don't know anything better but lying to themselves. They make you feel miserable! After all that you went through, you become double miserable!... I expected to see my vehicle like nothing happened. Instead I was horrified!...Not only for the bad work but also for the extra damages.They also removed personal belongings from where they don't need or suppose to touch, I'm not expecting to see it back. I think this is a terrible mistake, I feel sorry for the ones that have been affected. For the ones who are responsible for this, I think they are in big trouble.

P.S. please check your kilometre before you leave your vehicle.

I have used Lyons numerous times over the last 15 years. I have never had anything but great service, quality repairs, and friendly sevice.

Was manipulated by tow truck driver to take car to this facility he said it was accredited by my insurance company so I agreed. They had a rental car for me in 10 mins and I was off. That is where the goodness ended.

It took them over a month to replace my bumper with the promise that it would be ready next week, okay next week, okay next week. I said "okay take your time just do it right". I got another rental car and rental car guy advised me check the car before I pick it up. I did and oh the horror. There were big scratches in 2 spots on the newly painted bumper, there was one section where the paint looked like it was actually bubbling and there was a big scratch at the rear of the vehicle that was definitely not there when I brought the vehicle in. The symbol on the hood had nicks all around it (from being pulled off the hood) and was wobbling when you touched it; obviously was not glued on properly. No wonder they wanted to ship the car to me. I pulled the manager out and let him have it. He did take the car back and fix these things but still did a shoddy job. An amateur can tell the car was painted. I have had 2 people ask me if the car has been in an accident since repaired by these guys; a shame since this car was over 60 grand when new. To add insult to injury a seal on the passenger door was broken and the car now leaks water and I mean 3 glasses full if left in a downpour. I didn’t notice this until months after the car was fixed.

If your car is here remove it immediately before they touch it.

Funny thing is there was woman who's car was brought in the same time as mine and she was there complaining that something wasn't right the 2nd day I went to pick up my finished car. Go figure; is everyone unhappy with this place?

I had an accident about 1.5 years back and it awas a brand new vehicle with just 400 clicks.

Due to my mistake and my insurance company accrediation, I took the vehicle to them. They took 3 montsh to fix it and after soem time I start noticing the color change.

And now after 1.5 Years I have seen all sorts of issues right from rust to about losse assembled body.

When I went back to them and they they told me that that they will fix it, but again when its ready it has still have issues.

The insurance compnmay has closed the claim and we are prttey much on our won after 1 year, so i am really regreting my decision to take back to them.

They are bunch of liers and false business practise, Beware and avoid them at all cost.....

Very dishonest unless going through insurance because that way they risk losing their credibility. I would certainly avoid them! Honestly there are very few body shops where you can get honesty and good customer service. I recommend going to a body shop owned by your dealership or at least accredited by them. At the end you might pay more but you get piece of mind and reliability. Avoid sharks like these, they might seem friendly at first but you're the meal.

In April 2006 I was involved in an accident and had my car towed to Lyons when the tow truck driver informed me that Lyons was an approved auto-body shop by my insurance company. I called my insurance company and they confirmed that Lyons was indeed approved. Lyons had my car for almost 3 weeks and I had to hound them to get my car fixed. 3 years later the hood (new) they replaced has rusted right out. I've called my insurance company and they are telling me to deal with Lyons myself unless I get an unsatisfactory response. I called the manager of Lyons last week and left a detailed message requesting a call back...no surprise I've received no response. Today I’m going into Lyons to speak with the manager...lets see what happens.

DISHONEST! January 12, 2008

So car is towed there after an accident. Call the next day, thursday, asking for extimate. Called back Monday and finally get one. asked if okay to leave car there while thinking about it and told sure. three days later call to say i would have car towed to place closer to home. Gave cc # to pay for towing. Next day they called to ask if car was being removed and then finally told there was a $60 a day storage charge! Nice of them to say nothing about it! What if I had waited another week! Even when they finally gave an estimate at that point i would have owed $300 for storage. Very underhanded i would not trust this shop.

    That is awful that they never told you that there was a fee for storage/day! I'm glad u decided to move your car when u did & obviously, even before u found out about the storage fee, it was the right decision to make. Best wishes with getting your car fixed & I'm really sorry to hear that you had an accident in the first place. :)
