Called to see if it was walk in or by appointment. I needed my hair styled. I was given a 4pm appointment. At 4:20 I asked if it would be much longer. No. At 4:30 I was told the stylist was having something to eat. At 4:40 the stylist came out told me she would be available at 5pm. I asked if anyone else could do my hair. No answer. So I cancelled my appointment. Don't give appointments that you can't fulfill. If a customer knows it's first come, first serve they know what to expect. An appointment should be honoured.

  I agree with your comments, this is what happened to us. This morning (Nov 13/11) my daughter and I had an appointment at 11am to have our hair cut and highlighted. The package we had was a Groupon gift certificate that included foil high lights and cut with was and style…We found the ladies to be extremely rude with absolutely no customer service skills.
  When we arrived we noticed they were not keen or happy to see us and we were guessing that it had something to do with the Groupon gift certificate and therefore they were arguing as to who was going to help us. Once we were in the chair I asked the hairdresser if I could also have a root touch up and she said it didn’t come with the Groupon certificate, I acknowledged that I was planning to pay extra and asked how much, she quoted me $79.95. I thought that was a bit steep for a root touch up so I asked how much was it to have the full head and she said it would be around $90. It seemed too high and I wanted to check other Magicuts prices were therefore I said I would come back another time. I sensed she was relieved to be rid of the lady with the Groupon gift certificate.
  My adult daughter’s hairdresser…told her that the foils would do nothing to her hair and suggested her hair would turn green because over 2 years ago she had out grown bleached highlights professionally done. Then the hairdresser showed her ¼” strands and said this is the area one foil covers. We have had foils done and she was exaggerating a bit. My daughter was very disappointed at the attitude, service and the way she was treated. It was clear that this hairdresser was doing her best to discourage her from having her hair done and was happy that she was able to talk my daughter out of having her hair done today.
  When I got home I called two different Magicuts and asked about the price to have root touch up and full colour and was quoted $41.95 for root touchup and full color was 56.95.
  I have had my hair done in the past by Magicut and have been satisfied by the service but the service provide by the Magicut at 9855 Austin Rd, Burnaby, B.C. (in Lougheed Mall) was our worst experience ever and we will never step foot in that location again.
