When our Mazda 5 was badly damaged in December of 2012, Mazda Gabriel's GM, Mario Santangelo, of the St. Jacques location, came to the rescue. In spite of the fact that our flurry of emails and telephone calls requesting his help came during the very busy Christmas rush season, Mario showed the genuine interest and concern that we had hoped for and in a very respectful and timely manner he was able to coordinate towing and salvage very costly parts from our terribly damaged vehicle. We could not have asked for better attention or better service --and all done in a very timely and effective manner. Thanks Mario, for making what was a very difficult situation into a manageable situation, with great results.

From the receptionist to the service manager, I experienced poor customer service, language issues and lies.

The diagnostic for $89 + tax was supposed to be 60-90 minutes long and include computers hooked up to sensors etc. Instead I received a three line summary stating that the distributor needed replacing and the car started intermittently. No other problems were detected on my 19 year-old car. Interestingly, the driving belt needed tightening and screeched upon starting but they never even noticed this!
Cost to repair: $1300 + tax (part and 3 hours labor)

I asked for an image and description of the distributor part to which the service manager agreed. He never sent it!

The technician had forgotten to reconnect the wire on the distributor and following the diagnostic, I discovered 2 wires standing up with male endings, one of which connected to the distributor.

A reputable garage quoted one hour labor and suggested getting a second-hand part due to the car's age.

My repair cost: $220

I would not recommend Mazda Gabriel.

Very good Mazda dealership, I was welcome by Jim Turnbull who confirms my intention to choose my new car for my birthday! I’m a happy-new-owner of the SUV Mazda CX-9. I’m so proud of it… Many thanks to Jim and Mazda President’s team.

Bonjour,

Bad experience for me. I brought my Mazda Protege there for inspection and it came back with a huge noise from the exhausted pipe. I called them and they said the problem was there before and got worse in the garage by coincidence. Quote what the advisor from Gabriel said, "Just like when you park your car in the parking lot tonight, and battery is dead tomorrow morning, is that my fault?" Hell, yes, if it is in your parting lot, I suppose.
