3 Reviews for Mount Everest Indian Cuisine Rated 4.5/5 Stars

I am originally from Vancouver where I was introduced to Indian food. I have been to most if not all Indian restaurants in Vancouver and none compare to Mr. Singh's Mount Everest Restaurant. Mr. Singh is a spice master and a perfect host. Mrs. Singh is also very pleasant and works very hard. I definately recommend this Restaurant especially for those who have not experienced Indian Food.

Mt. Everest was one of the first, if not the very first, Indian restaurants in the Pickering-Ajax area.

The restaurant is small.

The parking is tucked away in the back.

The exterior really needs to be updated. The interior is not much better.

However, the food is excellent!

The Naan is always fresh with just the perfect texture. The Butter chicken is just heavenly.

The lunch buffet is very competitively priced. You can't get much better value.

I work downtown Toronto, and have dined in several other India restaurants. Mt. Everest beats most of them hands down.

Best East Indian food east of Toronto! Very good selection of items on menu which are prepared and delivered to the table in top condition. Tables are a bit small and can be very busy in there around supper time. The outside of the restaurant doesn't do justice to the high quality of food and service that is found inside. Come early and enjoy the richly spiced delights of the east.
