This summer the wife and kids took a road trip. Our 2006 summer vacation to the Maritimes would be tough to top.
Our 2007 trip would take us to Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa and Kingston. These are places rich in Canadian history and culture. Sure the highlights were the Segways in Montreal and the water park in Quebec, still we found plenty of time to visit the museums, forts, churches and monuments.
One highlight was the last night of our trip with a grand light show projected on the Parliament hill buildings. It was truly impressive and gave a awesome overview of Canadian culture and heritage our rich history.
Our all Canadian summer trips were truly enriching experiences and I encourage all Canadians keep their vacation dollars in Canada. There is so much to see and do!

My hubbie & I went to visit his sister who lives in Ottawa a few years back & I whole-heartedly second everything you've said in your review!
We all loved it @ Parliament Hill.
As well, back in my younger years, my best friend & I had a vacation thru Ottawa (We named our trip the "Trouble Twins Travel Road Tour"). We went to Parliament Hill as well & had an absolute riot. Everyone was so friendly & helpful, even the RCMP officers who worked there.
I Lived in ottawa for University for 4 yrs and its is such a great city. The market is something unique and filled with tons and tons of great eateries.
