i Love my Preverco floor. I have had it for years. Of course it has dented and scratched like any other wood floor, but I realize that wood does dent and scratch. I have another floor in my home from them that is 15 years old and it looks great. I replaced my old floors because of damage from water so I am familiar with the damage dryness and water can do to wood but no problem with Preverco!
WE HAD PERVERCO FLOORS INSTALLED THROUGHOUT OUR WHOLE HOME KITCHEN, LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM AND THREE BEDROOMS. THREE MONTHS AFTER INSTALLATION WE FOUND CRACKS AND SPLITS IN THE SURFACE OF THE FLOORS. PERVERCO SAID THIS IS NORMAL, THEY SAID BECAUSE OF THE HIMIDITY LEVELS NOT NORMAL. ALL NOT TRUE WE ARE FIGHTING WITH PERVERCO AND THE STORE WE PURCHASED IT FROM IT COST OVER $15,000 AND WE DON'T EXPECT THIS FROM THER PRODUCT.
Very, very unhappy customer signed a Pre-Installation Checklist that requires home humidity levels of 35-55%. On visits to the home, the air-conditioning/heating was off and the floor was cupped due to excessive humidity.
Bob Wagner's and Preverco agreed tp replace 40 boards with splits but the consumer has resisted any board replacement. It is difficult to assume the cost of material and labor for (possibly) an ever-growing problem that has been caused by environmental conditions.
I love my hardwood, but the service is the pits. I had hardwood left over, and took it back to the store, after they assured me they would take back any unused product that was still in a box, with a restocking fee. When I actually returned the hardwood, I could not get ANY money back. The store advised me that the company does not take back hardwood, and does not refund money, therefore they would not do it either. So now I am stuck with $600 worth of hardwood flooring that I will not be able to use. I will never purchase anything from the company, or the store that sold it to me, Ashley Fine Floors in Edmonton
i had the above floors installed in 2000 and they were perfect and beautiful.
however, one section is deteriorating with the corners of the seams peeling up. a rep came over and was adamant that it was water; i was sceptical as there had been no water in that area unless it leaked through the door. then i noticed that another piece was breaking down but in an area at the other end of the house, with no possibility of water intrusion. paying more attention, i discovered that where the sun comes in is exactly where those peeling sections are
i think that purchasers should be advised to put down a mat or cover up the windows when the sun is spilling over the floored areas
i have contacted company by e mail and there has been no response - will have to persist as i was told these was guaranteed for life
I have 600 SF of Ash Espresso in my house I have 3 aggressive young boys and my wood still looks great... when clean. The people at Preverco do a fine job. The products finish kills the competition in smoothness and durability. It's an absolute pleasure to look at my wood every day. A+++
if you ever have a problem with this company they will always have an out . they will say your humidity level is incorrect and that it is normal for floors to discolor . they will find fault with everything but their substandard cheap product.
Buyers Be carefull dont buy this junk there are better companies to buy from read their warranty
Completely unhappy with Brazilian Cherry Expresso stain hardwood flooring. Clear finish on top does not match. Some boards are perfect while others are cloudy and not smooth. I have 1500 square feet of this product on my main floor. Very disappointed. This is the second and last time I will use Preverco product. The stair nosings are very rough on the edges and some are wider than others. Definitely not a product for a high-end home like I thought. I did receive a small cash settlement from Preverco but felt very unsatisfied after 6 months of waiting for it. Once a floor like this is installed it is very hard to remove and replace. They know this and used this to their advantage. I left several messages for the owner of the company and others to call me back, no-one did. Very poor customer service after the fact. I do not recommend this product or anything this company makes.
