GREAT EXPERIENCE SO FAR December 30, 2011
review from category: Home Plans

After walking into a showhome December 2010, we met Ash Single who took the time to talk to a naive couple for over an hour. He answered all our questions without trying to pressure us into building. Gave us the facts, the good and the bad, and walked through options that fit our budget.

After looking at resale homes across the city, and visiting coutless other show home, we decided to build the plan we initially fell in love with and chose Ash as our sales rep.

We entered into contract to build with Randall in June 2011. It's now December and we haven't had a glitch thus far. Everyone we have encountered (with exception of the crabby receptionist) has been great. Amanda at the design centre took the time to work with us on issues we were indecisive about, and did not try to sell us on anything we didn't want or need.

We visit the site often and all contractors we have encountered have been great. They take the time to answer our questions and have been very pleasant.

We're on pace for our original possession date of May 2012 and look forward to the upcoming months.

do NOT build with them. when you get the house, you have to be the middleman and follow-up with the so called service department who never fix or do things right. I am going to call better business bureau to get my rest of the work finished properly- as they keep ignoring them.
Vice president Jason Jaquet is a cunning thief who try to talk people out of issues and try to pretend like he is satisfying the customer.
Karen Panaguiton in the service department is a bitch .

Do NOT build with them

By far the worst experience I have ever had with a builder I essentialy became the foreman on the job and had to submit "construction concerns" on a daily basis. Most of which were ignored. Stay away no matter how much you like the plan. Heed the warning of us who did not.

Used to be a good builder but now is too busy and have forgotten about CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are very busy now for return customers and words of mounth from what they did three years ago. Their service and quality are running down hill in the reason years. I do not think they will continue to be this successful for very long. I used to hear good thing about them in the past but not any more. They should watch out, eventhough housing in Wpg still hot but there are more and more builders and it will become more competitive going forward. Watch out for the price adjustment Schedule on your offer, they delay taking out permit and send you a note about price adjustment. Their Switchboard Receptionist is horrible. Maybe she gets too many complain calls so she treat everyone that come or come in as if we are begging for food. Wow..

Worst house ever!!! Would never buy or build another randall home again. I do a lot work in homes and when I come across a randall home I have yet to see a happy customer.
When I first moved in 5 windows cracked. (Which did get replaced) My garage floor had to be replaced because it all flaked up. My garage roof leakes and still does (7 years now) Randall home keeps sending trades out to bandage it. ITS ONLY BEEN SEVEN YEARS AND IM STILL DEALING WITH THIS INCOMPETANT COMPANY!! No one from Randall will call you to arrange an apointment so you need to call every couple of days and keep on them or you will be forgotten. There seems to be no communication between anyone in that office and the trades. Its been a terible experience!!! The best is when you call the office and you are on hold. They have a message on there that tells you how great there homes are. Second to none. HAHAHA
Would not advise anyone to build with Randall

CUSTOMER SERVICE March 5, 2011
review from category: Home Plans

after being warrened by others we still decided to buy a randall home. all i can say is once you have signed your papers there will be no more customer service. inface it seems that they could care less how happy you are. we had a few issues and were told flat out we have your deposit so go ahead and contact your attorney if you want. a complete lack of respect, it would have been nice if they a even pretended to care that we were customers but i guess even that was to much to ask for. i would very very strongly suggest to avoid dealing with this shotty company at all costs.

JERKS OF RIVERRIDGE November 29, 2010

The problem with this builder are the trades they hire. The garbage no one else will touch. Lets see, starting with the framer... left lose boards throughout the whole home... i ended up sneaking in myself to secure them... since they won't let you in during the daylight while the trades are there... and for good reason... they don't want you to see the shotty work. The stucco guy scratched most of the windows which needed to be replaced by Jeldwen who gave us a hard time about it (can't blame them i guess). Even the cement guy. His sidewalk looked nice until next season when it shrunk away from the main step, cracked and then sunk 2.5 inches and when Barca came to look at it he just laughed and blamed the builder and walked away.

At the end of the day, i can understand the trades people being so bitter, because everytime we tried to contact Randall, they gave us the run around... the one poor girl who had to answer for the predident and his idiot son who works there i really feel sorry for her...

Randall Homes... i may get some toilet paper with their logo on it... that's about it.

After building two Randall homes, I can honestly say, this will be my last. It's not that the homes are terrible. They are a standard track builder, and probably have some of the nicest floor plans around. Where they stand out is the lack of customer service. Once you sign on the dotted line, you are practically invisible. You are given no access to anyone within the company to deal with during construction, and are left trying to get answers through your agent who sold you the home. And the agent obviously has other things to do than worry about why your home is behind schedule or wrong in some way. Questions are responded to with a lack of respect, if they are dealt with at all. Ignoring issues seems to be the avenue of choice.
Then, at the end of the construction process, they will proceed to nickel and dime you for charges and dispute any wrongdoings in the construction of the home.
Again, nice homes. It's not like they are the cheapest around. You just get treated that way.

RANDALL - VERY TRUE TO THIS REVIEW

I am currently experiencing the lashing from Randall Homes. This is terrible because I am not seen as a stakeholder and left out of the scene completely. All efforts to get questioned answered are directed to the sales agent who already made is sale and had moved on. As far as he is concerned my case is a done deal and he is going all over the place looking for another catch. I cannot make any introduction to this builder.
