Reggie's Old-Fashioned Sandwiches has become one of my new late-night destinations.
It's located on King, just west of Spadina and is open 24/7.
I'm happy that I found it, because it's an amazing alternative to late night Chinese, Greek, street meat, and burritos.
The decor is non-existent, but it's got a hurried, but comfortable vibe to it. What do you expect from a place that's open 24/7?!
They have around 20 different sandwiches, all made fresh. I'm not talking about Subway fresh. I'm talking about REAL sandwiches.
To tell you the truth, I've only tried a couple of the sandwiches, as I invariably go for the pulled pork. It's got a Southern Comfort barbecue sauce which is a bit tart - but nice overall flavour. It's very filling - and hits the spot, especially after a night out.
My other fave is the fried mac and cheese. I know it sounds a bit artery-clogging, but it does taste heavenly.
Some of my friends have complained that the quality is inconsistent, but that has not been my experience. Everytime I have been there, the food has been great.
Good find - I'll check it out for sure. Thanks for the review and for adding the biz!
I will definitely be checking this place out!
