We do value our customers, your business and our relationships. As well, we take all concerns, dissatisfaction's, issues and criticism seriously to help correct and insure satisfaction to all of our customers. I will advise you that we take criticism VERY, VERY, SERIOUSLY.
After thoroughly reviewing your comments, I would like to inform you of the following:

If you are going to comment or criticize about any organization, do your homework, thoroughly review and try to get the facts straight before posting your opinion.
The FACTS….
**Riviera Parque is a Dining, Banquet and Convention centre that serves over 160,000 people per year.
**Portabella Catering is our catering department.
**Ristorante Portabella is a room in our venue that has been closed since November 2009.
**Portabella was a high end elite customer restaurant open for lunch only Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 3 pm. (Lunch only)
**Average bill was 150.00 + (FOR A LUNCH)
**Pizza and foccacia pieces were given to all customers with our bread basket for free.
**food served at Riviera is preselected by the Convenor of the event
**No A La Carte menu is served.
**The restaurant is no longer open because it could no longer be available to our customers on weekdays due to too many corporate private parties during the week and customer demand.
**The room is currently available for private functions during the week and on the weekend for our customers.
Additional COMMENTS….
-With respect to your comment of Riviera management. This is the first we are hearing about this complaint. A NON CONCERNED new customer that recently booked their Wedding with us made us aware of this posting. Not one of us in Management has received a complaint or concern regarding this matter. We don't know who you are...
-Your comment about the quality of service. We specialize in French Service where the staff serves from a service tray asking the customer what they would like. They know exactly what they are serving. If you are comparing Riviera to other venues that offer Plated service, where the staff serves you a pre-plated dish prepared in the kitchen, service is quite different. Preference and Opinions varies
-With respect to your comment of “frugal” or about pricing…OFF SEASON Pricing is different and less expensive then peak season pricing. Do you homework; call other venues and see that we are not the cheapest we are quite competitive. Also you should compare apples to apples and see what you’re getting. If you educate yourself in the field of food and beverage or this industry, you will comprehend the incentive and difference in pricing and customer demand between seasons. Food costs changes (see it yourself next to you visit any grocery store)
WE ARE VERY APPALLED ABOUT THE STATEMENTS MADE ABOUT OR TEAM AND VENUE.
As I mentioned On behalf of Riviera Parque and all other divisions of our organization. We take criticism VERY, VERY, SERIOUSLY. We review them as a group and correct any issues or concerns to SATISFY all customers and better our organization.

The Riviera Parque
You closed that restaurant November 2009? Then why on earth did you sell me gift certificates March 2010? LAME!!
I did not call you to tell you your management was offencive and rude b/c it was one set of gift certificates, they were used and I never want to associate myself with your facility again if needed.
As to the rest of your junk you just spewed out, you think I was making up what the waitress sait to me? She served soup, someone asked what kind of soup she said "dunn-o" no time to pronounce the t as she scurried away.
Your 2009 winter prices were on your website thats why I know them. Your food was gross, both in you banquet hall (been there 2x) and your shut down restaurant.

I recently booked a hall at the riviera parque for my June wedding and I couldnt be more excited.
After a lot of shopping around and price and service comparison, I decided this was the perfect place for our wedding. I was saving posting a review for after my wedding but I had an urge to check this website again and and now I just had to respond to this review.
Here is the story:
I went to The Royalton with a friend as part of my shopping around and met with a seemingly nice fella who gave us a tour of the facility and showed us the price list and so on. As we sat in the office he insisted that we visit this website to view reviews of his venue and others. I had mentioned to him that I plan on visiting the Riviera after and will be getting back to him. A few hours later, I see this horrendous review!! suspicious? I think so!
The review is not by a couple but an anonomous guest who was so outraged by the Riviera that he created this account and had to post this very specific, long and detailed review. No guest would do that. Sounds more like a vindictive competitor resorting to unethical means to lure customers. He even checks for reviewes and responded yet again.
All I have to say is Thank you for making our decision easier. Stay tuned for our post wedding review!

I like how my identify has become this fun little mystery. Firstly I was shocked at how accusatory the lame public relations staff member from Riviera was at my identity. You should be apologizing you idiots about your poor service and NASTY FOOD not wondering who the heck I am. Yes I am an individual b/c luckily my spouse and I have smart friends who don’t get married in Woodbridge, the cheesy and cheap Las Vegas strip of the north if you will. I'm an individual who bought gift certificates to the Portabella and it was DISGUSTING and I have attended 2 Christmas events there and had to suffer through poor service.
I personally was shocked at how poor the food and service was b/c yes, I thought this was a popular place for weddings so If I can save just one person from the atrocity that is the Riviera, then my work here is done.
Hope your wedding sucks less than the food here. Good luck with that, lol ;)
