I have been going to Kim and Carrie for six years and wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. My colour is always amazing. Carrie is the color master. Most people don't even know I get it highlights as they looks so natural. Kim's stylish cuts have literally brought my hair back to life and finally got me to the length I always wanted. Besides the amazing colour and cut, they make being at the Salon super fun. Like someone else said in their review - its like the Cheers of hair salon's. They are extremely professional and warm and welcoming. I will never forget their kindness when I came in to get my hair done before my mothers funeral. Lastly, it is an amazing value. I always thought they were Vancouver's best kept secret and if they ever moved cities I would probably have to relocate with them or save up a lot of air miles.

The first time I set foot in Shampoo, I felt at home. Kim and Carrie are like awesome bartenders. They swap banter and jokes and include new customers right away. But most important: they give great hair. Carrie does colour and Kim does cut, and they each work with devoted precision and creative flair at their specialty.

Prices are reasonable. Usually around $200 including tip for a cut and full highlights.

Highly, highly recommend. (Any flaws in my hair if you see me in the street are entirely of my own creation. I'm a lazy blow-dryer.)

I have been a client for about five years and I have always been happy with my cut and colour. I have recommended these gals to numerous friends who are also happy. Chatty - yes but not overbearing. Unprofessional? Definitely not. In fact, sometimes when I'm not in a talkative mood they pick up on it and let me be. The fees are great compared to downtown and its not pretentious at all.

Worst hair cut I've ever received. Don't go to Colin unless you want to look like a fool with uneven bangs and fluffy sides. He raced through my cut in 15 minutes, very disinterested and unprofessional. Plus it was expensive and he seemed offended that I didn't tip him even though my cut was awful. Staff talked loudly amongst themselves, I felt like an imposition on them. Terrible!

It is rare that you go into a salon and feel so welcome and surrounded by such good energy. After spending many years and lots of money in salons in New York, it is so refreshing to get amazing cut, colour or blow dry all at incredibly reasonable prices. The staff are stylish and current and are not afraid to tell you what style would suit you. Shampoo is a great addition to West Vancouver and a great reason to cross the bridge.

It's great to come into a shop that is so lively and full of spirit... The staff work perfectly together and you get the feeling that they are all good friends. Whether my appointment is at the beginning or end of the day, I always leave smiling.

Very cute boutique salon, tucked away behind marine. The owners Kimi and Carrie are two amazingly talented girls. Very cool staff, a mixture of all smiles. I left with an amazing set of high lights and a cut that I didnt have to fuss with for almost four months. Very busy, very friendly, and a lot of fun. You can chat or you can people watch and read the pile high gossips. The experience is a riot, and you'll leave with a smile and great hair to boot!!
