My little guy would always cry through every haircut... I was the mom in the mall salon with the screaming child! We had an amazing experience at Sharkey's... my little guy loved every minute of his haircut...not one tear!!! The TV's, video games, toys and balloons were definetely very inviting for him and made him feel that he was in a place made just for him. The staff were wonderful and friendly and my son received a great haircut!! I highly recommend Sharkey's to everyone with children of all ages!!!

My kids LOVE Sharkey's. My oldest son (just turned 4) used to cry when it was time for haircuts. Now he actually tells me when he needs one. The staff are great with him and manage to make my timid little guy feel comfortable. My 1 1/2 year old loves the store and is easily distracted by all the toys and TVs to look at. We won't go anywhere else.

Who would of thought that a haircut would be on a childs priority list! After our amazing experiance at Sharkey's, we cannot go near Fortino's without having to get a hair cut, whether they need it or not!

We took our 1.5 year old there for her 1st hair cut. We purchased the 1st hair cut package (comes with the before and after photos, lock of hair, etc.) and received it at a discounted price, I'm assuming because the hairstylist did a horrible job on my daughter's hair. The poor girl's bangs were hacked so bad by this stylist that they couldn't be fixed. The stylist was very unprofessional, I might even say inexperienced working with children and the receptionist was rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever. The only thing that this place has going for it, is how welcoming it looks. DON'T BE FOOLED!!! As I mention in the title, we will definitely not return!!!

My son had had 3 haircuts elsewhere prior to this one, and he had cried through the last two, so we needed a new place to go! We tried Sharkey's and will only go there now. He was easily distracted by all of the toys (for sale at a premium mind you) at the front and then the chairs and DVD distracted him sufficiently to get through it without a single tear. Getting a balloon at the end pleased him even more.

I gave this a rating of 4.5 not 5 because the price of the toys on display was a bit over the top.

My Daughters - 41/2 and 2 1/2 - had a great experience at Sharkey's. Beautifully designed and so exciting - for all ages. I loved that there are the cars for the little ones and more hip chairs for the older kids. I love the birthday party idea as well!!
Great customer service too. My oldest daughter is usually very shy and anxious when she has appointments for anything. The girls at Sharkey's were kind and gentle with both of them, and before I knew it, my oldest was chatting her stylist up over her manicure. The manicure was a surprise for my girls, they absolutely loved it. It was a nice outing for us and one my girls are still talking about!
Very positive experienc. I would recommend to anyone who has kids to try it out.
