My daugher Sarah and her new husband Richard just had their wedding Oct 1, 2011. I am the mother of the Bride. I wanted to take the time to Thank You for making my daughters wedding so perfect. Everything about your venue and service is outstanding. I know you made their wedding everything they wanted and more.
My husband and I came to the hall a bit early to see if we could set up the slide show that my niece put together. We were greeting with a smile right away. Not only did they explain where it would be, they got the projector ready and the DJ helped set up the audio. We were all ready to go knowing that it was working. So no worries during the reception. This was so appreciated.
When we came to the food tasting we were served with class by your server named Max. He made us so comfortable and we enjoyed his company. Our night was special because of him. Then by chance Sarah was at a friends wedding reception with your venue and she had Max serve her table again. She came home from that wedding so excited.
When my husband was busy setting up the slide show for Sarah, I asked if Max was here. Then I was told he was upstairs at another wedding. I with no hesitation said, it was too bad because I really wanted to see him and have him with us. I did not ask to have anything changed because I know how hard it is with how busy your staff is. Then as I was sitting in the Bridal Suite waiting for the evening to start who came in with Alex( sorry i think that was his name) it was Max. They made the arrangements to have him come join our wedding for the entire reception. This meant more to me than I can even explain. To go above and beyond what I already considered exceptional service. This made me smile all evening, Max served my table with class once again. I had the best time on my daughters special day, because of your staff going out of their way.
Max is a pleasure to be around. He has the manners that are missing in most of todays young adults. He is a remarkable young man. Please Thank him for me and let him know that I wish him the best in life, I know this young man has all good things ahead for him. He helped me feel comfortable on a stressful day.
Thank you to Alex and Max for all that you did to make this day as special as it was. We will now have good memories forever.

Our son Brendan married Sarah on Friday, July 29th, 2011 at this luxurious resort. We felt like we had flown to another island since the day was so spectacular. Being our first child to get married, it was a new experience but with their guidance and expertise it was a dream come true. The weather was perfect, we had the whole place to ourselves and it was a magical day. We are coming back down to earth and Brendan and Sarah are on their Honeymoon now, so we find it fitting to comment on the amazing service we received. They looked after every detail so we could enjoy the day stress free. The excellent, professional service given by the good looking, polite gentlemen in white gloves made us feel like we were at the royal wedding. It was better than the royal wedding because we are ordinary people making memories. As parents of the groom we were so pleased with how well we were cared for the entire day. The food was outstanding in quality, presentation and quantity. No one left hungry or feeling unsatisfied with their meal. We have spoken with many of the guests and there has not been one negative comment about the day. We are constantly reminiscing about July, 29th and we can only say WOW, did that
really happen? We will be their walking commercial and spread the word that
Grand Olympia is the only place to have a wedding. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My reception was held on Saturday July 16, 2011 in the Halton hall. I have never had so much fun, the decor was beautiful, the cake was fantastic i was loving the bling that you did for us.Our matre'd Rashawn did a fantastic job and also our waiter shawn, both of these men were very polite, they knew their stuff and made our night memorable.I will definetly say that the food was fantastic as well as our bartender was very sociable and did a great job.


I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for making my dream come true on this very special occasion. I would defiently recommend grand olympia to everyone i know, My family and friends cannot stop talking about the food, the cleanliness of the building and the staff.

On Friday, March 11th, 2011 I had occasion to attend my son`s wedding reception at the Olympia on Barton Street. I have been to functions at both locations. The Olympia is known for its service, but I have to tell you, the service we received (being directly involved) far surpassed our expectations.

Your staff must be commended what a wonderful group. In particular I need to mention TYLER RAYNHAM. He is a great asset to your organization. His people skills, and his attention to detail were outstanding. The waiters were very friendly, professional and the service was impeccable. ZAID ´was serving my table and he was very accommodating. The bartender, Lloyd was professional and quick.

Your staff helped make the reception a huge success. I commend them and your organization.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for a great job well done the hall was just beautiful and the food was extremely good. All the guest enjoyed themselves very much. Dan’s Aunt and Uncle said they have been too many weddings and this one by far had the best food. It was a great wedding and it was everything I could have asked for. Kashawn was so sweet and so helpful. I had him running around the whole time. So thank you for everything you’ve done for us. You made it very memorable and I just loved everything about it!

Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know how wonderful our wedding was at the Grand Olympia. We had nothing but compliments, regarding our room (Halton) , service and the food. Our PA Tyler was amazing and very attentive. The DJ was fabulous, and we appreciated the cd he gave us. I appreciated the time you spent with me a couple of days before the wedding to review everything and when you greeted us upon our arrival. Luisa was very helpful leading up to our special day. The booklet she had sent helped a lot when planning the wedding.

Kevin and I would recommend The Grand Olympia to anyone who was planning a wedding or a special function.

If you are looking for a big McWedding - this is your place. The room was enormous and completely lacking in character. This place is the extension of the suburban 'big box mall' attitude towards weddings. The waiters were children and overly rehearsed and repetitive. We were assured that adequate security would discourage something called - 'venue-hopping'. It didn't. The open bars at weddings apparently is a magnet for party crashers from cash bar events. The food was above average. The main courses were better than the dessert. The ice cream waffle tasted like it came from Dairy Queen.

  The Grand is far from being a McWedding venue. They have very attentive staff that care which is rare these days. We were very impressed with the staff and food. We have got nothing but compliments on the day.. I appreciated the time they spent with us couple of days before the wedding to review everything . Not sure what this persons problem is the venue is a fabulous place to get married or hold an event.

  Is this person nuts. I have been to several weddings there and they always to a fabulous job. I have recommended them to all of my girl friends and they are always impressed by the attention to detail.

My family and I attended the Festitalia dinner hosted at your banquet hall on Sunday, September 18.
We have attended these wonderful dinners at several locations over the years and always enjoy ourselves.

This year, however was especially pleasant aside from the delicious, well-presented food and the superb table service provided by your uniformed waiting staff.
Our server (for Table 32- could be Jason, not sure) asked our group if we had any dietary concerns or restrictions.

Our 21 year old son has been anaphylactic to all nuts since he was 2 years old.
Over those 19 years, we have eaten meals in many places with varying degrees of understanding and allowances made regarding David's allergy.

David told our server about his allergy which was received very politely and quietly by our server.
We felt confident throughout the meal that David was safe to eat all dishes as he was not cautioned otherwise.
We were all very pleasantly surprised and extremely grateful when our server brought our son a lovely cup of fresh fruit before he began serving everyone else the tartufo.

He even noticed that I was not eating mine as chocolate is a migraine trigger for me.
I did not mention this to our server prior to the dessert being served as I often go without dessert after a large meal.
Our server (Jason?) politely asked me if I would like a cup of fruit which I thankfully declined.

Mr. Figueiredo, I need to say to you that you are very good at what you do.
Your staff, front and kitchen, are very well trained.
Your banquet hall standards are exquisitely high.
Finally, such a kind gesture to include a nut allergic patron has been very rarely experienced by our family.

We all extend a very big thank you to you and your thoughtful, accommodating staff.
What may have seemed a matter of course for some, made us feel sincerely appreciated.

Where do I begin? Yourself and the rest of the staff at Grand Olympia helped to make our daughter's wedding one of the most memorable events of our lives and will be extremely hard pressed to top. We received so many compliments on everything especially the food and the wait staff who took care of us that evening. The professionalism and hard work provided by the servers did not go unnoticed.

A huge THANK YOU to "Chef Andy" who created an unforgettable meal for all to enjoy. The antipasto buffet was "just amazing" and many of our guests had never seen anything like it. They were so impressed. Loved the Christmas tree in the centre. (Thank you Carm and Luisa). The roast beef was so tender and delicious as was the rest of the meal. I truly appreciate the special care that was taken for the people with special dietary needs. You really came through for us.

Thank you to "Sue" for coming through with the centrepieces. I received many compliments on them and I truly appreciate the extra effort you put in to creating the vision Lindsay had in mind.

The Chapel was so elegant. We were so pleased with the decor of the platform with the mini lights and the tooling and the poinsettias. It was just what we had hoped for.

"Alex".......It was a pleasure to work with you. You were able to put our minds at ease and I really felt that when the big day came, and it would all be in your hands, the timing for everything would come together........and it did. "Sparky" came through for us with the dance music. I didn't see the dance floor empty the whole night.

The limo drivers Omar and (sorry I didn't get the other gentleman's name) treated us like royalty and were very helpful.

There was one particular young man "Eric" whose charm and wit stood out. From sautéing the shrimp, to setting up the late night buffet, (he made sure everything was just right on the ice sculpture before I took the picture) to cutting and serving the wedding cake and pouring the coffee. He was always there with a warm and friendly smile.

Luisa........you are a remarkable young woman. You were so patient and professional in every aspect of the wedding planning stages. Having never been the "Mother of the Bride", I truly appreciate all your guidance and expertise and at the same time allowing us to add our own special touches and incorporate our own ideas. You were there for us every step of the way and we "THANK YOU" for a memorable day that will not be soon forgotten by any of our family or friends.

I would really appreciate it if you could read my thank you at one of your meetings as I feel it is important that everyone know how much their efforts are appreciated and when a job is done as well as all of you did, it needs to be acknowledged. Please let Art Moore know how happy we are with everything and we will not hesitate to recommend The Grand Olympia to people who are looking for a FIRST CLASS, FIVE STAR venue!
