FRIENDLY PUB February 5, 2009

The atmosphere is old style miniature pub with some frayed relaxed charm, though a bit crowded, it is comfortable and the service is good. This is a really special little spot to go for the Sunday prime rib special. Very friendly spot. There is a decent pub menu.

The patio is a good place for a long chat in summer. It's a combination of bistro meets patio picnic benches, with lovely flower boxes filled with color. A variety of strange people pass on the street. Interesting neighborhood, Cabbagetown. Nice place for brunch, lunch or a relaxed supper.

The House on Parliament is simply the best pub in Toronto.

Comfortable, well-run, and always bustling, the pub serves high-quality pub food with a french flare that simply cannot be beat. In addition to a regular menu (including the best pulled-pork sandwich I have tasted, and some very tasty tourtiere), they offer fantastic specials each day with a quality that far outstrips the price.

I can't think of anywhere I would rather have a casual dinner with friends, particularly in the fall when their below-street patio is a perfect place to take in a beverage with friends.

hi there,
I've been going to this place for 2 years now and I gotta say their food is always great. Price good too... service might be slow sometimes though, but its worth it.
if you can go on sunday for the prime rib dinner then you will be delighted.
