after researching many colleges, I decided to go with Trios. In my opinion I wanted to attend school with mature adults, not children. Just like a career, you need to work for what you want in life. don't expect to take a course, and land an immediate job, or believe your worthy of a job all because you have a diploma. Volunteer, Network, and look for a job, don't expect someone else to do it for you. If you don;t know the answer ask questions. The instructors are generally professional with a background in what they teach, and will assist you long after graduation. Typically the ones who are complaining are likely people who depend on others or lack interviewing skills, or maybe have no work experience to begin with. I have not completed my program yet but been contacted by 5 different companies for full time work. I live in a city with a high unemployment rate, so I am pretty sure employment is not based on where you go to school.

It was a high pressure sale that I fell for. The content that I learned was not helpful in the job market at all. Supply Chain and Logistics can not be taught the way they teach it. The whole class passed with outstanding marks but none of us are using it in our current fields, which by the way is very different jobs. The school did the best to get us a diploma but really any piece of paper would have done what they did for me.

triOS is a great school, I had tons of fun, learned a lot and was offered a job from my internship. I turned down the job because of family issues, but I am sure I will get something again when I am ready.

My campus director and instructor both really emphasized how important it is to volunteer while in school. It helps network while you build your skill set. You need to take charge of your education. I had a Community Service Worker diploma, so it was less than one year and I was competing for a job with people who went to school for way longer, they had SSW and BSW and sometimes MSW... I STILL GOT OFFERED A JOB! Take control of your own future and learning and you will do just fine, its a good school that teaches important material and the instructors really care about you.

Hi, I am a triOS grad from the Physio Therapy Assistant program. I graduated a year ago and got hired right from my internship. I had an amazing instructor (Bala) from the Brampton Campus, he was so full of energy and very knowledgeable. He was a practicing Physiotherapist, so all of his lessons were current.

I am very surprised by some of the negative reviews on this site, because my experience was nothing like that. I can't even make one suggestion about anything I would do differently, and I know that my friends from other programs were all very happy too.

In my class, I started with 4 other PTA students, all of us got jobs within a month or so of graduating, and most of those jobs came right from the internship.

I am very confused about where the negativity is coming from, I really believe triOS gives you the tools to be successful, but you have to be the one to use them properly. All I can say is that some people work their a$$es off to succeed and others want to just place blame when they fail. I didn't have the best marks in the class (some of my classmates were doctors from other countries!), but I still got a job (that I love) because of my attitude combined with the knowledge I gained at triOS.

I think it is a good idea to sit in on a class rather than listening to a bunch of anonymous idiots on the internet when making a decision, then you will know for sure what you are getting into. And yes, it is a compressed program which is basically like making school a full time job, 4 hours of class and 4 hours of study, not every night, but you should plan on it most nights if you want to do well.

Thi is what my experience has been
The customer service is not the greatest, we have only one teacher for the entire course that does not speak english well at all and does not explain at all numerous students have gone to the Director of Toronto site and nothing has been done to change this situation. The courses are very fast and you need to put another 3 to 4 hours at home in order to stay on track the books are great and the organization in the school is top notch but unfortunately the most important component in the school the teachers are below standards and the college has received various complains but no changes has been made.
Also the computers are below standards for example one of my courses in order to do the labs which is the most important part to learn we need it a machine with minimum 8GB RAM and visrtualization support, but we all we had was 4GB RAM and very slow processors so we could not do the labs unless you have a good computer at home or the money to get one, which is completely unfair because this is part of the responsability of the college or at inform the student that they need to get some hardware in order to go through the course.

Therefore I cannot recommend this college to people it would be unfair. I would not do it again you are better of going to a real community college than this private college.

If you want to learn, you have have to put some effort to it, do not blame the college, I am a current student of network administration (second career); my teacher is knowledgeable (as far as i know) and we have good PCs. even-though that is not enough, you have to study hard...HARD...hard, this type of private college is not for those to want to be baby sited, these are serious-fast programs that need you full attention. so... do not complain just do some research, study hard and find success!!!!

Don't waste your money on private career "colleges" of this type folks. You will not get a job with these bogus "diplomas" - go to a genuine public institution instead.

I went to Trios Hamilton Campus. You are paying close to seventeen grand for a waste of time. I took the law clerk program and everyone in my class including myself will say its a waste of time and money. The instructors dont know what they are talking about, the text books you receive are not the proper books you need to be learning out of. I did the law clerk plus internship and the school went through three internshpi co ordinators in a worth of three months and somehow they lost my hours and I had to start all over again. Free work for another two months. Dont go here Its a waste. There were about twenty people in my class and probably only five out of those twenty actually got a job after school.Take my word for it go to somewhere creditable like Mohawk for your Law Clerk Diploma.

Trust me, private career colleges are a total waste of money. The programs are not even close to providing the level of education required to find a job in the field. They rely on high pressure, misleading tactics to dupe the gullible into paying high fees for an essentially worthless program. The positive reviews look very much like shill postings.

triOS may not give information on tuition but if you do your research you can find the information. Check out the Service Ontario website.
triOS is an accredited private college just choose your program wisely. I did a lot of research before choosing the school and I was also a Sheridan College student in my first term, Sheridan was the worst experience ever. It is not always private colleges that are a scam, you just have to find the right school and program for yourself.
I will do another review once I start the school and actually see what is going on but for now I have no complaints.

When I am researching which educational facility would give me the best education, the best experience, and the best environment for my needs, it's important to give yourself all the information. What that means is simply, cost is only one part of the big picture of getting the education for a job. There is much to be said about the whole learning experience, because you will not only finish with a piece of paper, you will also take with you a whole new world of knowledge and experience that will shape your future. Give yourself all the information needed, before making a very important life long decision. In other words, "Why do you not want to meet for an appointment? Is it because you don't care about anything but that piece of paper? Is it because you don't care about the learning environment, the people involved in the behind the scenes decision making of the running of the school? Is it because you aren't sure if you can afford it? That's why you go, to get all the information you need to make your final decision. FYI the have a Financial Assistant who you can discuss this with, there are many avenues of funding available today i.e. OSAP, Second Career, scholarships, employer reimbursement etc. How much does it cost to go to a regular community college to take this course? Then it will probably cost a similar amount because you are going to learn the information one way or the other. Just because one way is in less time, doesn't mean it should cost any less. That piece of paper is worth the same no matter which school you go to. Make the right choice, with all the information you can get your hands on, and yes if that means going for a meeting, then don't you think you owe it to yourself to check it out?

Trios will not give tuition information over the phone without setting up a meeting in person. Does anyone have this info to save me the trouble?

If you are in contact with this school run the other way you will not get anything close to a worthwhile education nor one that will help you find work in your chosen field

In fact most employers will smirk when they see Trios College under education on your resume and won't hire you for this very reason

This school and I loose that term loosely, is a government funded waste of money. I attended a 1 year program for Networking, during that time we had a total of 5 unqualified instructors. It was better to stay at home and complete your education. The instructors would read from the books and would not be able to answer technical questions when asked. Those people that may have became gainfully employed after attending this "school" may very well have been but at below average jobs. The only reason they are attended is because the College of Ministry of Education is lax, and is not equipped to monitor this sector. Government money not well spent.

I graduated from triOS College 13 months ago. I was able to return to the workforce almost immediately. My time with triOs was very enjoyable and my whole course was very well organized to suit my needs. The campus that I attended always ensured that the students were kept up-to-date with all matters. There was always an activity which included all the students and tutors. This enabled everyone to get to know each other, make lasting friendships, share knowledge and make the college a place you would look forward to attending every day - a family like atmosphere. If certain people were unhappy with triOS it was because they went there with their pessimistic attitudes in the first place. Unhappy people should not try to spread their negativity to other people and then turn round and degrade the school which they had chosen to attend in the first place. They should remember that they are at triOs to learn and improve themselves and enhance their skills so that they can go out in the real world and present themselves in an educated manner.

I graduated from triOS College 13 months ago. From my personal experience, I was treated with respect and my needs were fulfilled. My schedule and other matters were dealt with in a very efficient manner. I always say, "each to his own". People who are pessimists should not consider going to a College like triOS as they only try to bring everyone else down to their level. People are at triOS for the purpose of learning and enhancing their skills so that they can better themselves in the corporate or other world. triOS met all my needs as well as ensured that my whole experience there would be one that I would remember. There will always be a clash of strong personalities everywhere you go so people should train themselves to be inclusive - learn to accept other people and situations in life. The campus I attended always ensured that everyone was included in all activities. In fact, there was always an activity to bring students together that way all the students got to know each other and developed friendships and the tutors mingled with the students.

For me personally, triOS met all my needs. I was very satisfied with the college, my instructors and the sequence in which my courses were scheduled. My accounting instructor was always on hand even after school.

People who complained about triOS are just unhappy with themselves and went to the college with a bad attitude in the first place. In life, it is each to their own, and if someone wants to attend a college like triOS, that is their perogative. Complainants should have appreciated what knowledge they would have acquired at the college so when they returned to the real world it would be with a positive attitude and outlook.

I consider that negativity towards triOS by discontented people will not deter others from attending the college.

I started at the Mississauga campus in October 2010 for the Web Design/Development course and although the information you need to learn may come in large quantities and you have to try to take it all in at once, the instructors are nothing but helpful in every way that they can be.

If you have a bad experience at TriOs, I think it would have nothing to do with anyone else but yourself. Maybe you're just not personable enough, and don't get along with the other students and the staff, but that is not the case for all students.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that is why we have forums like this. Because I, personally have had a good experience at TriOs, I will definitely be recommending this school to anyone who is interested in a Business/Technological or Health care profession.

I am shocked to see these reviews still posted on this website! In fact, I have spoken to many of my fellow graduates in hopes that they too will come here and post their positive comments to show that not everyone feels this way.

I have graduated from triOS in 2008 from their Business Administration program and not only did I graduate with Honours, I did not miss a day.
My instructors were knowledgeable and always willing to help in any way. They went out of their way to find ways to educate every student who asked for extra help and in fact encouraged us to organize study groups to help each other. This not only helped make lifelong friendships but taught us networking, and encouraged people who were shy to speak up and out.

Quite often, the best way to find out about someplace is to visit the place in question. From the time you walk in the door at the Mississauga campus you will notice a bright and fresh atmosphere. You are greeted with a smile and a cheery hello by all support staff.

The Education Consultants will talk with you about the college and the programs available, the Financial Aid Officer will explain all financial options available to you and our exceptional Career Services team are there to explain their part in helping you become employed after graduation.

Personally I believe that you get out of everything in life what you give to it. I gave my all to my education at triOS and triOS gave everything back to me and more.
It’s unfortunate that you have to read reviews about triOS and have not been able to get a personal experience.

This school is a total scam, the teachers aren't knowledgeable, the school is small, the computers are sub par, they treat you like a kid in high school, and it costs ALOT of money!
I am in the Web Design/Development course and they teach right out of the book, ask a question you will not get an answer, I have not been properly taught (or taught at all) what they have told me they would teach. The course has very little design, our teacher taught us that "if it looks good then its good", This is not web design! This is the equivalent to a 13 year old sitting at his computer learning HTML and calling himself a web designer! Going back to the kid in high school feeling, the internet has firewalls everywhere, miss a class and have your course completion threatened (also a phone call asking where you were). Really this school is an absolute joke. We have complained on many occasions, only to find that we receive no help from people at the top. Ovoid this school, let your friends know to ovoid this school. Do not attend this school.

  My opinion on this comment is that; perhaps before you start ANY program at a private college, You should do your research properly. If you wanted to be a web designer maybe you should have chosen a different place. There are "career" colleges. If you wanted to be successful as a "web designer" you should have probably taken a course at a higher level college and got your bachelor degree or whatever you need to be a web designer. Yes i agree with Trios for calling and asking where you were if u miss class...if u are not a 13 year old as you said then u should be responsible enough to let the campus know if you are going to be away and for what reason. especially if your a funded by OSAP. OSAP does not fund people who do not attend school or just apply to get money and then leave, u need to have academic credentials in order to continue to be funded by OSAP. If you "skip" days and have no excuse i agree that you should not be continually funded or taught anything. College is for responsible adults, not for immature high school student who dont have the will or sense to know that u need to attend class. So before you slam a school maybe you should read over your student handbook and find out what the rules a regulations are, without first ignoring it and then expecting them to cater to your thoughts and beliefs. Trust me, they don't do these things to punish you. all you have to do is follow their rules just like any job you will get. I know hundreds of people who graduated from Trios and now have good-paying, stable jobs, by doing the things required by the school. I also know of many students like you who think that you can slack and not attend because you dont feel like it and then be stuck with student loans you cant pay off because you cant find a job based on your credentials.

  A quality education may cost you money however it is worth it in the long run. The support you get while studying and after you graduate is worth every penny. triOS college has an extensive quality assurance program that ensures that their students receive a high quality experience in the classroom and throughout their programs. Courses, Instructors and all staff and facilities are evaluated regularly. While I attended class, I participated in at least 3 evaluations of staff and instructors. The staff were always willing to talk with you and find a solution to any situation you encountered. I had none, however others did and in fact some were vocal in expressing their concerns. They were always treated fairly, with respect and their concerns were addressed and resolved to their satisfaction.

I decided to attend this place because I was interested in a legal program, having had a higher education from university I thought this would be a good addition to my resume and career choice. As it turned out I found the organization of this school horrible for the program I was taking, it has not yet been approved on the LSUC as a legitmate Paralegal program and doubt it ever will be ( they only have until Jan. 2010). The tutition for this program was not worth the cheap and outdated equipment, software programs and tiny building and rooms that holds far too many students and programs than is comfortable and highly unprofessional. This place seriously lacks any integrity with how they treat complaints, questions from students and students themselves, they have a bad career counselling team who are too unqualified and niave to really help thier students into thier chosen field successfully.
The whole point of this school is to get and continue getting as much governement funding as possible to stay open and take students money, knowing full well they lack the skill and resources to help people get real jobs. Much like other Private Colleges that have closed down in Ontario, this college is one to be very wary of, and if you do go be sure to record all incidents of incompetence and mismanagement of your funds because you may need it later in court.
