I have been engaged for a while now and my fiance and I have finally set our Wedding date which is exciting and now to find the dress! I went to the West Edmonton Mall looking for my Wedding Gown and walked out of the Mall very disappointed. So while looking on line to see what other Wedding Gown stores there was I found the Wedding World Web site which was very helpful in my search for my Gown!! I just had my appointment with the girls at Wedding World and they were Great! I found my special Gown and all my Accessories with one of the ladies that works there for my special day that is coming up this summer. Thanks again Wedding World for the Wonderful experience You Ladies Rock! I can't wait to see you ladies again when I come to pick up my dress!!

GREAT SELECTION February 2, 2012

I have been engaged for a while now and just stated shopping for my Wedding Gown. After been to the West Edmonton Mall and was very disappointed in my Wedding Gown Shopping. I made a appointment to go to Wedding World to look at some Wedding Gowns I had a great selection to choose from and the Staff was great! I have found my dress and accessories for my special day coming up in the Summer!! Thank You aqain Wedding World you LADIES ROCK!!

I had such an amazing experience at Wedding World. The staff was charming and nice which made my experience 8000000 times better. They have a huge selection of dresses and bridesmaid dresses. I was in shock at their excellent customer service and their quick response to all of my questions. I highly recommend this establishment

On January 2nd I made the decision to call my bridesmaid to setup a date and time to get together to go shopping for a bridesmaid dress in Edmonton as she lives there and I live in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. We decided the Weekend of January 21st and 22nd was going to work for both of our schedules. So on January 6th I made a phone call to Wedding World to see if we needed an appointment to try on bridesmaid dresses and, if they carried the Alfred Angelo collection. I was assured more than once I did not need an appointment to come in and try on bridesmaid dresses and that yes they carried a wide variety of the Alfred Angelo collection in many different sizes, and colours. So I said perfect we’ll be there in two weeks see you then. The girls on the phone were fantastic, or so I thought. I drove up on January 20th in the evening. We woke up the next morning Saturday January 21st and went to the store. When we got there we dove right into searching for a dress. My mother had decided to come with me to try on Mother of the bride dresses. She grabbed one and headed for the change room to try it on. My bridesmaid and I grabbed 6 or 7 for her to try on and made our way back to the 8 OPEN CHANGE ROOMS. We were stopped and asked by a bridal consultant if we had checked in at the front desk. I said “no the sign said to only check in if you had an appointment” she replied with “ well I can take those” nudging at the dresses we had chosen. We handed them over to her and she continued, “You can’t try these on without an appointment.” I replied with “Well I phoned two weeks ago and was told we could try on bridesmaid dresses without an appointment, we drove 7 hours from Saskatchewan to come here specifically to try on dresses, is there nothing you can do for us?” she just looked at me and said “Nope, sorry you need an appointment, I’ll put these back”. I died, I went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. They said he was busy. We went and sat down at the front of the store to put our shoes back on. I got on my phone right away to other bridal stores. Talking as loud as I could without appearing as if I was shouting I asked the lady on the other end of the phone “Yes hi! I have driven all the way from Saskatchewan today to try on bridesmaid dresses do you need an appointment to come in and try them on… oh no you don’t? ok great, do you carry the Alfred Angelo Collection? No ok thank you”. The manager came over slowly while fixing mannequin’s and dresses on his way said “Hi ladies how’s your day going?” I said “Not very good, I called her two weeks ago asked if we needed an appointment to try on dresses they assured me I did not and now I have driven all the way from Saskatchewan to try them on and your consultants are less then excited to help me so I’m taking my business else where.” He half assed apologized, blaming his front desk staff which he should’ve trained properly and walked away. I phoned 3 bridal stores all not needing an appointment to get in but did not have Alfred Angelo in stock. I called one last one “Career Girl Bridal”. No they did not need an appointment and, “yes we have a very large selection of Alfred Angelo bridal and bridesmaid dresses, please come in anytime.” So we got in the car and left to career bridal, they were so fantastic I have since ordered my dress, and my 4 other bridesmaids dresses from there in the last two days via email. They even rushed the dresses at no extra charge. I was so impressed with their services, there is a reason they have been in business for 50 years! I hope Wedding World goes out of business which I have no doubts after reading some of the reviews already online of this location that they won’t survive. Do yourself a favour, save yourself the hassle and don’t go to wedding world!

NEVER AGAIN! January 23, 2012

I came to this bridal shop today with my daughter and her 3 bridesmaids to try on bridesmaid dresses and even though we were told on the phone we did not need an appointment, apparently we did. The girls were just standing behind the counter there didn't seem to be anyone else even in the store. They told us we could book an appointment for 30 minutes from then. I said what are you doing right now that we can't start looking? and she looked at me blankly and said we can get you in in half an hour and that's all. We left and after falling on up some reviews online we took our business to career girl bridal who were amazing.

I came in for Wedding World's Eagar Beaver Sale and was blown away by all the beautiful dresses!! I found my perfect dress with the help of an AWESOME bridal consultant who was able to hook me up with not only the dress of my dreams but the veil and the jewelery!!! If you are a bride on a tight budget you gotta check this store out!! I had soooo much fun wish i could do it all over again!!

BRIDAL BOUTIQUE August 28, 2011

My experience at Bridal Boutique in West Edmonton Mall was fantastic. Out of all of the bridal shops in West Edmonton Mall, I received the best customer service by far from Bridal Boutique. They were so helpful and friendly. I was also able to try on a dress without an appointment, and it turned out to be the one. I was lucky enough to get my dress from them; I am more than happy to give them my business. Once my dress came in, I was able to have my alterations done right away. When I went in for my second fitting, my dress was still too long, but the seamstress was able to raise the hem a bit more and steam my dress for me to pick my dress up later that evening. The only reason I do not give them a full 5 stars is because my dress was still a little too long, so I ended up tripping on my dress a bit during my wedding. I would recommend for anyone to go to Bridal Boutique for their dress, it won't be regretted.

WHAT A JOKE August 8, 2011

Don't waste your time wedding world is a joke and there staff is incompetent i have had nothing but problems!i would not recommend them to anyone. I ordered my dress back in feb and i still have not received my dress, the wedding is in august. they have been giving me the run around for months and not returning my calls. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW ANYBODY CAN CONDUCT BUSINESS LIKE THIS, AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE MANAGER!

The people that wwork here are rude and don't care if you are happy or not i got a bridesmaid dress from here and the lady argued with me about what size i needed and instead of ordering the size i put down and said i needed they crossed it out and put the size they wanted to order for me then when i went to get the dress and found this out they did not want to do anything for me they would not even consider ordering me a new dress they said it was my fault and that it was pretty much my problem now. so i would tell anyone thats going here or thinking of going here not to even bother.

Unfortunately we can't give Wedding World a zero, because that is what they would get. If we had read these reviews before we went there, we wouldn't have darkened the doorstep. Dresses were suppose to be here July 8th, and finally arrived 2 weeks before the wedding now. Alterations needs to be done, and are being quoted as rush jobs and are going to cost $180.00 for the one girl. Manager won't take your calls, or speak to you in the store until you force her to. When you call there to inquire about your dresses, you have to talk to the Manager, who is always "in a meeting." We were told that and then walked into the store, and guess who was standing there and had answered our call on the phone. The consultant who helped us, didn't pull the dresses my daughter wanted, and finally told us to 'just go pull your own dresses.' Another consultant actually came and tried to take a dress 'off my niece when she had it on.' My sister-in-law had to step in and tell her she was not having the dress until we were finished with it and to get away from her daughter. She literally had her hands up to my niece and was going to take the dress off her.

Also, the seamstress has now said, 3 days before the wedding, the dress is the complete wrong dress for my niece and the measurements are no wear near correct.

What ever you do, do not go to Wedding World. If you want a great Wedding Dress Gown experience, go to URBAN BRIDE in Edmonton, now there you get wonderful service.

Never shop here, i bought my bridesmaid dresses through wedding world and was told that because we purchased the rush we would receive the dresses in 6 weeks. After the 6 weeks was up i called the store only to be told that i would receive them only 2 weeks before the wedding which was months away! The owner even went as far as to call me a lier when everything was writen in the contract. This is a horrible place! don't let them spoil your special day!

While the staff are extremely polite and professional, I reccomend not going with Wedding World. I bought my wedding dress there without a problem (it actually showed up 3 months ahead of schedule) my bridesmaids paid a large chunk of money for dresses that have not arrived yet. We were promised they would be here by mid May, it is now 20 days to my wedding, and I can't get a strait answer from the store as to where or when the dresses will arrive. The phone is not answered when I call, the messaging system has been set to not accept messages, now one answers my emails and every time I am at the store I am told that I need to talk to a different member of the staff who just happens to not be in that day. Frustration is mounting, I just want a clear answer as to where the dresses are!

BOYCOTT!! June 15, 2011

This store is ridiculous. This place is only getting half a star because I have to put in some sort of rating. Trust me if I could it would be getting a big fat ZERO. My friend ordered her dress from here SIX MONTHS before her wedding and when she asked to put a rush fee on it to make sure it was here on time the lady told her there was no need the dress would be in in plenty of time......It's now THREE WEEKS before the wedding and she still has no dress and the only thing they can tell us is "well if the dress isn't here by your wedding day you will get a full refund" I'm sorry but how does that help my friend?! Is she supposed to go out the morning of her wedding to find a new dress. The management is a joke here, I'm pretty sure the owner Francis just hides in the back of the store pretending she's not there and doesn't return anyones phone calls. NEVER BUY A DRESS FROM THIS STORE! I know many people getting married in the next few months up in Edmonton and I will never say a good word about this store. WHAT A JOKE

What an awful place. After paying the rush fee on a dress and told it would be 4-6 weeks then 8-10 weeks, then sooner than twelve weeks the owner told us it would be FIVE MONTHS and refused to refund our rush fee we were charged. I cannot stress enough DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!! I have filed a report with the bbb and am in the process of getting a refund. I have bought the EXACT same dress online from the designer for a third of the price and guess what? two months. Someone isn't doing their job.

I understand that you maybe understaff or busy but honestly, i've been calling them for two days from 10-3, for every hour. I have not received any answers. Are they still in busy, or failed to delivery wedding dresses on time hence afraid to answer the phone.

OMG!! I have been leaving messages for over a week for the manager to call me. This store hardly ever answers their phone, the answering machine does not accept messages, the message says to make an appointment. How do we make an appointment?? I only want to know if my daughters grad gown has left China, and at least then I know it is on route. I live 5 hours from Edmonton and am taking time off from work to see if I can get some answers or maybe her dress. Very poor way to run a type of business that is supposed to make womens dreams of beautiful gowns come true as well as reassure us. I think this store could use a new manager, if they even have one now.

    Lack Of Communication

    After trying, on numerous occasions, to get confirmation that my dress has been ordered, I am starting to get nervous. I ordered my dress (bridesmaid) at the beginning of February and I realized that I haven't received confirmation. I ordered by email since I live in Calgary. I have tried calling there almost everyday (sometimes several times a day) trying to get confirmation that my dress has been ordered. No one answers the phone and no one replies to emails. I am at a loss for the lack of communication and options. If I don't get a reply to my latest email, I am going to have to drive all the way to Edmonton just to find out if my dress has been ordered. I hardly think that's fair.
    I don't think its worth the time or heartache.

    We ordered our bridesmaid dresses, shoes and Wedding dress all from this place in January. We have been trying to get ahold of them for the last week and they wouldn't answer there phone, then when we called today it is saying the line was diconnected...

    Ummmm I have a bad feeling we just lost allot of money!!!!

well i have an appointment @ wedding world to try on this dress that really caught my eye, it so beautiful!!.. well from reading what you all been thru, i hope my experience there wont be like all of yours.. but im going to bring that up all the comments that i read!!.. OMG!!.. well if they treat me even close to that, they sure will miss out on alot of $$!! a soon to be bride and all 10 of my bridesmaids!!.. thanks ladies!!..:)

I am a short planner and had only 2 months to plan my wedding I found my dress at wedding world and I am very pleased with the dress. My bride’s maids also found their dress' which is also very nice but all compliments go to the designer... As far as the service goes, there really isn’t much. The steaming on my dress was disappointing and I now have to pay for steaming elsewhere! When I called about my problem all I was told was the girl that steams the dresses must have been in a bad mood that day (this should NEVER be told to a customer!) I received the call that the brides maids dress's were in so I went to the store (I am 4 hours out of Edmonton) AGAIN the dress's look as if they were fresh out of a crumpled paper bag (BIG waste of TIME) They are supposedly steaming them again …… I would have to say on a professional level there is none! I guess my overall review of satisfaction is poor There is not much for compensation and even though we spent $2400.00 I guess that doesn’t matter! Well in my view that is a lot of money on something to be worn only once! I would say I received better treatment from stores where I was only looking and not purchasing. But time was a crunch and I bought impulsively so what else do you get ... The girls there try to be nice but it is phony you can see that and that’s fine but maybe this store needs to be on a commission base.. you would then see some real service or maybe the owner needs to step up a notch and make sure customers are getting what they pay for im sure the markup on the dress' is at least 50% so their making a pretty penny. I paid cash and my dress was right off the rack and ordered everything else in 1 day so its not like the owner had to wait for my $$$ a little decency and respect is all that is requested. Someone needs to be checking these dress's before the customers are called for pick-up. When my girls have to pay $300 for a dress it better look great and be ready to wear.

My time at Wedding World was a fabulous experience. The prices are great and so is the customer service. I highly recommend this bridal store.

TURN AROUND!! June 11, 2009

I have to say bthat since the new owner has taken over Wedding World good changes have occured. I have been shopping since October last year for dresses for my bridesmaids and had been into the store. It was dead in there and no one was around to help us. We went back in March this year and found the store to be alive. We did end up ordering 4 bridesmaid dresses through them and they arrived the end of May. They had great service and the best price in town. We have been in again and they have even more new items. The place even smells better!! Thanks Wedding World!! My girls are going to look great for my special day.
