I placed an order with William Ashley on 7 March 2011 for a product that was in stock. I also asked them to ship it to me as I leve in another province. On 25 March 2011 after having still not received the product I phoned and was advised that the product was not in stock and they were waiting for a shipment to come in. After talking to the supervisor (Donna) who stated that the product was actually available at their Square One, they were going to expedite the shipment of the product to me. On 31 March 2011 I contacted William Ashley to inquire as to the status of my order and was advised that although the product was shipped, it was sent via nornmal parcel post and may be in my possession in another week.
For some time I have been atempting to reach Wm.Ashley by email to order online. This company does not seem to maintain an active online service nor do they have a valid online address. For such a prestigious business I cannot say enough about their lack of care to the public who do not live in Toronto.
I checked out their website and it's very bad! I clicked on "online shopping" at the top of their home page and it brought me to a page that is totally french... so I went back to the home page and clicked on "Tablewear catalogue" and selected "gifts" where I found this cool lint shaver.. they are great, I really need one as I have 3 angora sweaters that need some attention.. so I clicked "checkout" and it took me to a french page to fill out my shipping info.. so bad!
