The Royal Pets Hotel and Spa is not JUST a Boarding Kennel and Cattery. We are a home away from home. With 27 acres to play and roam, accomodation that many people could be comfortable in and fellow Pet Parents to help care for your family member, why would you ever go to a Boarding Kennel again!

Our family feels so comfortable and reassured when our family pets stay with the people at The Pet Hotel. We collected our pets this weekend after a stay of 16 days. This was thier second stay with Jen and her team. Fantastic! I know they love and take care of our dog and cat just like they were their own. I don't have to worry about "what happens if". It did the first time. My dog got into the compost the day before we traveled. The staff recognized problems early and worked through them all with thier Vet (someone else I can't say enough about) and Chance is fantastic. Thank you to all the staff at The Royal Pets Hotel, we've tried many kennels but we won't be looking anymore, we found The One.

I can't say enough about Talis and the girls. They provide such peace of mind for me when we leave our dog with them. They care, know their stuff - and our schnauzer truly loves it there. Thank you and I' m going to keep recommending you ladies!!

First used for our diabetic cat when we still lived in Barrie. They have the most amazing set up,for Cats. After she passed, we had moved, and the kids had won the battle for not one but TWO puppies, we came back whenever we went to Horseshoe. We haven't found anywhere else that we feel comfortable with or the "beasts" love to the same extent. The staff are amazing, the hotels are superb and they really do love my dog. I've done the research and tried many other "kennels" thinking I could, get something closer to our new home and save the drive north of the airport. But I've learned the hard way, you can't put a price on peace of mind, and it's worth the drive to horseshoe. I'm not looking anymore.

My Doodle loved her stay. I stopped by without an appointment to view the place before booking and loved how much activity was going on - as I came in the driveway a couple of dogs were returning from a walk and someone was playing with a couple of others in a yard.
It was very comforting to see the pets out and about and with people.
Not the cheapest kennel, but then I don't stay in the cheapest hotel I can find!

Don't know what these people are talking about. We had our dog Skeeter there and he wasn't very happy to leave there. Don't know what they do up there, but boy our dog was as happy as could be. Will be taking him back in the future for sure.

Tried the Royal Pets Hotel and our dog came home smelling and stressed. We paid for activities and don't feel our dog was exercised, he just seemed so stressed. Looking at the luxurious aspect of Royal Pets Hotel was a big mistake.

unlike the previous reviewer, I have had nothing but brilliant experiences with the Royal Pets Hotel. Safety is up and the care is outstanding. Interestingly, I can arrive earlier than expected and my dogs are outside going for a walk, I don't remember seeing any dogs out...

unlike the previous reviewer, I have had nothing but brilliant experiences with the Royal Pets Hotel. Safety is up and the care is outstanding. Interestingly, I can arrive earlier than expected and my dogs are outside going for a walk, I don't remember seeing any dogs out before. personally I'm suspicious when something is too good to be true price wise - even with the increase - they compare very well. And I had to do research (husband made me). thrilled I can take my dogs and I don't have to worry.

Two weeks ago I took my mini poodle to the Royal Pets Hotel - a placed I used to love when the previous owners still ran it. Not only was I surprised by the added cost for weekend rates and the removal of some basic needs services, but I was also surprised to the state I found my dog in. My dog was healthy when he went in. Yet, when I picked him up he was nervous, aggressive, starving, and pooped all over my living room - something he never did (not even as a baby).

He was simply not himself.

Thinking this was a one time thing, I took him there again this past weekend to spend three days. He was perfectly healthy. Yet, once again when I picked him up he was nervous, starving, and pooped all over my bedroom. His stools were soft and bloody.

The new owners have lowered the quality of basic care and have increased the prices in a most absurd manner.

I believe it is time for some investigation to find out what the new owners' greed is doing to this place.
